      cheers Viktor, yeah I have listened to Balazs Feedback and started doing more chilled videos. ps: Glosso under 1200sp - so far so good, 1 week in and I start to see first horizontal runners and growth is compact too. I keep Co2 at 30mg/l at KH2 and dosing with ADA Green Brighty + Additives. Lets see how it goes ;)

    I found the build for the substrate to be fascinating. I recently put together my first three aquascapes (Iwagumi, Dutch, and Jungle) using my background in houseplants and gardening. I used a mixture of soil, pigeon grit, and cat litter; capped off with our beach sand. All three act the very same way you composed your substrate (our pigeon grit contains the magnesium, iron, and trace elements as well as calcium stones and oyster shells). I suppose I could have also sprinkled osmocote to simulate the sprinkling of root tabs, but I'm expecting the animals in the tank to give back to the plants. Great tutorial! I'll check out the rest of your channel.

      It's an honor! Hardware like the black tube next to the glass lily pipe intake. Could that be a heater? Maybe talk about why it's important for your iwagumi set up and if it is because of the winter weather there? Maybe also talk about bubbles per second for your beautiful 120p tank and how many hrs in the day. If aeration is used how? And when? How many hrs of light you give this wonderful layout?
      Just ideas, I hope this helps. Really appreciate your content! And love the scape shirts!

    Also would love a tip video in the future showing your advice regarding trimming glosso specifically. Hope you can explain further what you once told me about why curved shears are best. Something about how they let you cut the carpet unevenly for better growth at an angle? Anyways I always struggle trimming glosso and would look forward to your advice.

Day 4, after flooding my glossostigma are turning pale as its almost melting/dying. do you think its because of fertilizing deficiency or from transitioning? currently I have Oase 350 thermo biomas filter with lily pipes, 10 bps CO2 with timer solenoid I turn it on 2 hrs before photo period, 2x chihiros rgb a plus all max setting. 6 hours photo period also with timer. 50% RO 5 water changes everyday doing this for a week to lessen ammonia and algae. and 1 pump of thrive S fertilizer along with that. I also trimmed it as you said. recently checked my GH at 4 and KH at . PH is slightly acidic due to CO2 at 10bps

      Marsilea hirsuta and hellanthium tenellum are some of the most easy carpeting plants imo. yes riccardia is perfect to grow on rocks

    Good job friend, wish you a year full of adventures and I look forward to being able to follow and continue to learn from you, having you as one of my references. I would like that you to talk about pumps dosing fertilizer and material to measure water parameters. On the other hand I would like to know your opinion having an eihem 4+ 350 in a 100/50/50 aquarium, I think to purchase another filter to work with two filters to have better circulation , if you could give me your opinion in terms of volume flow H20 / h I can adjust my choice - I had thought of an eheim 1200, but I don't know if it can't be too much? Strong hug from Portugal 🇵🇹

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  3 роки тому +1

      go for the same 350, if possible thermo to eliminate heaters inside aquarium or online ones. they will do the job. However, I would prefer the Oase over the Eheim if available in your area. ps: the 1200 is too bulky and comes with 2x inflow lines adding another piece of plastic or glass into your aquarium

    Great composition, really liked it. One question Jurijs. When would you recommend the dark start method? Why you never use it? Thanks!

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  3 роки тому

      I would use it in a layout with a lot of wood under circumstances that allow me to setup aquarium in several steps. I actually have setup one customer aquarium with the Dark Start. But I haven’t filmed the process. It’s not always possible with private clients as I have to respect their privacy

    Hey Jurijs! Did you test the stones if they where aquarium safe or is basalt always safe. Love the content!

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  3 роки тому

      Basalt is always safe if it's clean and not polluted. It has zero affect on water parameters which is great. I have not treated the rocks in any way, simply had them lay around in my yard..

    Awesome setup. I guess there was some inspiration from Glassaqua 90P iwagumi as well, with regards to the mid ground plant. I live in Germany btw, i'd like to order tanks and cabinets from emmel. How can i do it and what is the cost range?

    How high above the tank would you place the light. I’ve not got any stands and have been putting them on glass tops. Any critique on that?

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  3 роки тому +1

      10-40cm depends on tank height, plant light demand and light intensity. the higher the light, the more light is waster into the room

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  3 роки тому +1

      my guess is parameter fluctuation, busy is similar to crypts and can melt (partially) when parameters fluctuate

      @@JurijsJutjajevs Thanks, I will try to have tank more stable. Is it normal have a consumption of 15ppm of NO3 per week?
