Donna decides to swap time travel for a quiet night in with her family but as they tune into the Most Haunted Live special, who do they see? The Doctor joining forces with Yvette Fielding and her team while they investigate the mysterious and derelict; Century House. Their mission: discover the famous resident ghost, The Red Widow. Hauntings and supernatural events cause the team to be trapped within the haunted house, as they soon discover that there is more than meets the eye to this place. Will they survive the night?
Ashley Gregory (A Christmas Carol, Doctor Who: The Missing Adventures) pens a chilling and suspenseful thriller based on the lost episode concept by Tom MacRae (Rise Of The Cybermen/The Age Of Steel, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) originally intended for the official fourth series of BBC's Doctor Who; starring David Tennant.

While I think it's for the best this story didn't make it to screen, I think it's a testament to how passionate Doctor Who fans like this channel can be in completing this story years later, grand work everyone!
Oh man…. This is excellent. And it’s a really interesting concept. The Doctor sounds so much like David at times I genuinely had to double check it wasn’t him. And the person playing David the cameraman… if you have any Ninth Doctor audio plays…. You’ve got your Doctor right there. You should be so proud of your work. Thanks for sharing!

It's been about a decade since I last saw Dr. Who. So I remembered the show whilst seeking for something engaging to listen to while drawing, remembered the audio dramas, thought I'd see if there are any on UA-cam and POOF. :D As It'd been so long, I didn't even realize that it's a fan production. Wilfred's voice tipped me off and made me look at the credits. I really enjoyed it and I...think you guys really nailed the 10th Doctor? He was zany, but competent, very charismatic and generally embodied all of his best features that made me a fan of his back in the day.
I keep forgetting this is fan made it feels there has been so much care involved fantastic stuff for everyone involved
Must say that it's one of the best fan audio dramas I've ever listened to. It's Series 4 all over again! 🤩👏

Indeed he does in this audio. He also does a PERFECT Troughton and Capaldi! You can hear him as Capaldi in one of our past audios ‘The Last Days Before Dawn’ by searching our channel ☺️

How the hell did this not air!? It's such an incredible story!
Tom MaCrae presented the idea to Davies, and it would’ve aired after “The Unicorn and the Wasp,” however Davies thought the idea was too comedic since it would air just after the episode I mentioned. Also, Davies already had a Donna-lite episode planned later that season called “Midnight,” so the idea was scrapped.

@alexanderv.domanski9246 could you please tell me what people like about Midnight? to my brother and I it's easily one of the most skippable episodes yet folks online seem not only okay with it but even seem to LIKE it and I cannot figure out why
@@tmartin6300 actually Davies only wrote midnight after he decided this episode was too comedic.
This definitely draws some inspiration from the 10th Doctor Adventures Vol.3 story, No Place. Regardless though, great work.
Big Finish's 'No Place' was very loosely inspired by Tom MacRae's original lost story concept for Series 4, which our script was based on. We wanted to actually try to make our episode a proper adaptation of MacRae's original concept.

Sorry to leave so many comments but I just realized that y’all did the 12th doctor story YEARS ago that I loved. When it disappeared from that long ago play list I assumed it had been removed. Take a guess what my next listen will be ❤
Yeah. It was online for a couple of years but we had to remove it a few years back. Somehow it infringed on copyright with the “then” current book publishers for the Doctor Who novels. We don’t really know how that happened. But it’s back now and is staying!

Great production and some quality acting! however the story's a bit disappointing, for instance the two men seem included purely to die as plot points, the first death barely being mentioned while his co-hosts continue to do pieces to camera, the second seems to needlessly sacrifice himself while the doctor just looks on. The female lead is obviously meant to be a strong, capable, leader but feels completely over done, instead coming across as rude, arrogant and honestly the last person i wanted to see escape the situation alive.
Despite the story not really sitting right with me the overall quality is really fantastic! especially for a fan made piece.

The Big Finish story is very loosely based on the concept, whereas our production is more faithful to the original and as close as we could get as if the story had been made in 2008.
I feel like Laura Jayne Hunt has potential for a Kate Lethbridge-Stewart impersonation lol

So I haven’t listened and I’m sure it’s grand…but didn’t BBC do something similar in Tenth Doctor Adventures Volume Three “No Place”?
True. Big Finish did eventually use the concept of a reality TV Show and haunted house combination for ‘No Place’. However those elements are all they used when crafting their new story. Whereas for our adaptation of ‘Century House’ we wanted to try and get as close as possible to the original story and original lost concept.
I’m listening now and I have to say just a few minutes in and I’m already impressed by the quality❤

We wish it could be! This is a fan made audio, done solely through passion and non-profit. However, we’re really grateful of the talented team of voice actors we had working on this.
