for all the issues oblivion has the main thing id want to see change if the remaster is real is gameplay, i want tactics to the moment to moment gameplay not just bashing stats together and back peddling lol, like in mass effect biotics pull out of cover tech disables ya enemies stuff and gun go pew pew lol its not a complicated system but its enough to make you think on the fly and have to mix things up a bit but oblivion its just the same all the time
It depenss on what kind of "remake" it is (if it is indeed true). Is it literally the same game with a graphical upgrade and some bugfixes? Or is the gameplay and leveling altered as well? Given how people often complain about the leveling system/scaling and combat I can see Bethesda wanting to change them in some way - which means Knight needs to do new videos explaining all of it again since the current ones aren't relevant to that game (assuming he wants to get into playing the remake at all)
Damn. I didn't realize your channel was only a month old. Crazy I got it recommended to me. I've been needing to actually finish a playthrough of Oblivion, and your content has been encouraging me to do so. Been loving listening to your thoughts and mechanic breakdowns while I've been traveling around for my job. Keep up the good work man! Your day will come!
I stumbled upon your channel a week or so ago, and I'm starting to play oblivion again, you've taught me so much about the game with a fairly healthy "just play for fun mindset" unlike a lot of other content creators that make guides and stuff.
You are the goat for all these theory crafting/meta revealing videos whilst using the unofficial elder scrolls wiki. Massive respect and you've earned a sub dude.
Frankly I didn’t even know that certain stones actually gave greater powers. I always overlooked or ran past them assuming all gave a bound weapon or armor, which wasn’t very useful.
@@Elohim100 the game doesn’t really tell you about them, I think lots of people don’t know about them. I’ve been yapping about the jone stone for weeks now
Great video! some of my own points As an orc (male) the mage stone ability is S+ tier at level one all the way to level 10 and A tier after that. Going from 60 magicka and 50 willpower a total of 1.05 magicka per second to 110 magicla is almost a double magicka regen increase at 1.92, with max magicka letting you cast spells repeatedly or spells with greater costs additionally you get 50 magicka instantly when cast- making it stronger then the 40 health instant boost of lady stone (since magicka is more potent then health), no stamina penality equavilent since negative magicka isnt a thing if ur at zero and it runs out- A tier for every race besides High elf and Breton Using the games strongest magically inclined race is quite an unfair comparision when most races do not have a magicka bonus 😅 Warrior stone Is also S tier simply because It saves me 2 load screens of teleporting since im a loot hoarder and when i get overcumbered I use it, walk out of the dungeon and can teleport to the market district, and its combat utility is good early on. A tier includes Ritual due to 100 free health pretty op, Serpent stone, Atronach stone (access to spell absoption effects before 50 mysticism skill) and steed stone due to ulitity and jump height, great for skipping parts of Gates, 120 seconds is also enough time to reach the Sigil from start to finish on a few gates with the nice speed boost B tier goes to Ymir scales for giving a character access to resist frost effect at a spell crafter and general ultility of frost resistance Trash- Thief stone, I have a luck spell or enchantments instead, its ok but unhelpful in any meaningful way Tower stone, I dont break lockpicks very often, or i use spells, secondary option break less hammer is kinda ok Shadow stone, 15% 😂 its hardly noticable difference to stealth Apprentice and lovers, outclassed thats all ❤ thanks for reading
I really enjoyed using the Heaven stones. In my playthroughs I try to keep the difficulty slider to where boss fights really require me to use more of my resources than normal and the Jode and Aetherius stones are great for that little extra edge. I'm surprised no one ever mentions them, and I mean no one- I've watched a lot of oblivion videos over the years.
On unpatched the bound item stones are easy ways to get permenant extremeley powerful weapons with a repair hammer and dropping them after a repair 29 base damage no stamina consumption daedric claymore 3 more damage then the highest tier kf weaponry and no heavy stamina cost
I like Atronach Stone, the 30pts spell absorb is a really useful effect in combination with a couple rings and a cheap spell absorb to get 100/near 100 spell absorb when you need/want it.
To be fair, any of the stones that give you fortify skill are worth it at least to temporarily get so that you can do fortify skill enchantments and spells
Does anyone have any tips on how I could make my Oblivion not stutter when it loads, Level of Detail (LOD). It always stutters for a second and sometimes two seconds I have tried EVERYTHING, but I cannot get the game to run smooth when loading LOD no matter what, only when I turn the distant Land option off, then does my game become buttery smooth, but then it has too much fog. For me, this is unplayable.
I really don't think that tower stone is that bad, because when you do a recommendation quest you can pick up on the way. Then you can make a fortify mercantile and charm very early in game without needing to go out in middle of nowhere. Plus open hard lock is pretty good with low alteration.

Devs probably looked at the Alchemy exploit in Morrowind and completely disabled fortify alchemy effects just to be sure lmao.
