The FOMO Battlepass system is an absolute plague in the gaming industry. If ZOS go in that direction they will lose me forever. But judging from some answers they’ve given in the forums after the letter came out, it doesn’t look like they’ll head in that direction.
@@mediocremashedmattato5563 yes, it’s looking like we won’t have to worry about that happening, which I’m happy to see. The community understandably jumped to conclusions, so I’m glad ZOS is providing clarification!
I need Zos to understand that more earnable cosmetics will drastically improve peoples opinions of the game. Even just cheaper and more crown store cosmetics would be nice
So instead of paying one time for 1 huge chapter, we have to pay 4 times for smaller content? Wow such a great change 😂 ZeniMax the ultimate greedy goblins.
We all know they’re greedy, just look at the crown store. 🤣 But I’m really hoping the annual cost of the Seasons will be equivalent or at least similar to the cost of the Chapters we’ve seen in the past. If that’s the case, I don’t have an issue with splitting up payment throughout the year.
Too many mixed feelings about this whole change. Idk 🤦🏾♀️ heading back to the old zones will be really good i guess what you said about concole i will like that to happen.
I’m a bit torn on the exit from the chapters model as well, but it really does sound like we’ll get some great content out of the Seasons methodology, so hoping for the best!
Just another way for ZOS to brag about how much money their game makes them. Game quality drops, devs implement what players actually want, nope. New ways to gouge the players pockets, oh they are right on top of that!
I think this is a way for them to implement what many players have asked for: more compelling storylines. Hopefully the annual cost of the Seasons model will be similar to that of the Chapters model, but we can’t know until the first one comes out.

@@prixswrld 100%! The whole community has been telling them that exact thing for ages.
Especially for ESO+ members. The only rewards worth it for a lot of folks are from the store where you have to either buy them or gamble for them
@@TheESOTips in a world where fortnite makes millions alone off of just cosmetics you would think other studios are paying attention
Looking a bit sad, so i think i shall stop pouring my money into crowns or houses for another year or more
Yeah best you don’t 👍🏾
I get it, skepticism is often a good trait. Here’s hoping the changes they’re making will be good for the game overall!

Maintenance mode + battle pass. People are in denial eso has been dying for awhile.
I guess there is a fine line between optimism and denial, but I prefer to lean toward optimism until I have concrete evidence of the contrary.
