KORN still deliver quality 👌🏻 lots of passion behind their music
They definitely branched out with their music. Path of Totality and Paradigm Shift were pretty different. Serenity of Suffering and from the sounds of things, The Nothing, are both albums that bring things back to what we know and love from Korn. After that wild experimentation, I’m happy to see more of the old formula. I see your point 100% though, excellent video, awesome reaction
PoT was forsure different. I really liked paradigm shift and serenity of suffering....they were great albums...ill be sure to buy the nothing aswell
Kind of but this sounds like no KoRn I know..fan since 94
Scrolled down to see if someone had said this before I did.. This sounds like it could have come straight off off Issues and I'm loving it
I was going to say this, it's definitely not right to day Korn have not experimented over the years. It's good to hear this style from them again.
this song would have worked on either of their first 2 albums
Korn is known for every album sounding different. They have never been afraid to experiment, and are often trend setters. Hence the name of their 3rd album "Follow the Leader". A lot of fans welcome "old fashioned" korn, because of the fact that they have taken so many risks. They have released entire albums in different genres, and it hasn't always worked out. For example, their industrial "untitled" album in 2007 was probably their worst album. In 2016 Jon Davis said in interviews that when he heard the music the guys wrote for "Serenity of Suffering"that he hated it, and had to learn to like heavy metal again. They evolved so much in 20 years that going back to their roots was not easy for him. That album was the best in a long time (since issues imo), and I can't wait for this one.
SAAdesigner07 never thought of korn as risk takers. They did that album with skrillex, but they have always stuck to a sound.
I agree. I think Korn have an integral sound that u can instantly recognize. But they have never been afraid to experiment around that sound and incorporate sounds from many different genres to make each album sound refreshingly different. However occasionally returning to their roots isn't a bad thing because it doesn't feel like more of the same considering how many experimental albums they have put out. I think Untouchables is their best though. Their heaviest darkest album.
SAAdesigner07- I absolutely love their 2007 untitled album! One of their best, imo.
This 0ne is back to the roots, with a hint of new.
I enjoy their Untitled album. They took a risk with their sound. I hated Korn III
"It sounds like so much." Yes what you hear is KoRn's influence in the other bands you've listened/mentioned.
Tool, slipknot,Korn album this year man it's going to be good this year
And cattle decap as well
Static-x
TheHoot7 just need soad to make something to make an awesome year
@@Gen3tx yeah and rage against the machine but soad and rage to do an album the world is going to end
Ooooohhh yeaaah!!!
I feel like they did take a chance a few years ago. You need to try twisted transistor. It still sounded like Korn but just a little evolved. Korn definitely has a sound. Those of us that grew up listening to them appreciate them for what they are. This song is very nostalgic for me. I love it but yes, it does have a VERY similar sound to most of their old stuff. Just depends on what you’re looking for, I guess.
PS I’m about 4 beers deep so if I’m making no sense, that’s why. 🤷🏻♀️
Twisted transistor also has one of my favourite music videos
Never Never is really good also.!
That is the worst korn song ever...and this is coming from a fan of 20 years......DO BALL TONGUE
oh Yex I’ve also been a fan since the late 90s so what’s your point? I happen to like that one. 🤷🏻♀️
Devin Townsend Project - Deadhead, Live at Royal Albert Hall. It's a must guys. You'll be blown away.
i've been waiting for them to do this for like a year haha. i hope they do it.
@@scottmccumber5810 it's a matter of time. That shit is legendary
THEY.MUST.DO.THIS
Oh yeah please
YEE
To me this sounds like a more mature sound for Korn. More melodic vocals. I think this is wicked.
beatnpotatoes agreed, reminds me of the Issues / Untouchable era which was my fav
Korn's albums have had different styles like untouchables, and the untitled 2007 album is wildly different.
Yes!!! Check out Jonathan Davis ( singer of Korn) solo album and lead single What It Is. Such a good song
You guys are great! Glad I found your channel! 👍
No no no. Korn has evolved so much. Every record differs from each other. They try to do something different each time.
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Better yet try Leo from Frog Leap's version with Mary. Leo's best cover ever I think.
Dude there's no way in hell they haven't already heard that song before 😂
Love it. I'm so glad to see Korn stick with their old school sound and not feel the need to change💙
You guys are great! You earned a new subscriber. I've been a big KoRn fan since I heard them back in 96. They release their new album the day after my 41st Birthday! Looking forward to a nice gift! Keep up the great reaction videos!
Finally, you guys come back to Korn. Thanks!
“You’ll never find me” has a very recognizable Korn sound but there is something new and updated about it.
Been listening to Korn for over 20 years and Ryan, your questions and feedback on the song 💯 valid 🙌 love your comments, spoken like a true Korn fan. Thanks, guys!! 👍
Since when could you have twitch emotes in comments on youtube?
Awesome video, I love hearing some old school heavy Korn so it’s a banger for me dawg
First, love the channel guys! I am a big Korn fan and I have not read through the comments for this video. I would agree with you both on the fact that this particular song is very Korn. I feel however that this song was chosen for the masses and once the full album drops we will be able to dissect the true creativity of the album. Jonathan stated in a recent interview that he had no time constraints on completing the vocals and that he very happy with the overall project. I guess time will tell but I am looking forward to the rest of this album. Thanks guys!
Korn has already gone through their creative/branch out era, and now they're coming back to what we all know.
“Lost in the Static”- After the Burial
Or “Low”- Wage War
Let’s get it boysss! Are you guys going to be at the gojira show at house of blues on August 2? I better see you there! 😂
You guys are amazing keep doing you❤
Love your Korn visits. I'm a rock and metal fan so this gets me!
Rivers Of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name ( music video ) reaction please!!!
And The Silent Life by Rivers of Nihil too.
I saw this for the first time last night, my first reaction was "is this joke?" but then an emotion of holiness swept through me and I saw God, then I realised I was indeed the joke
So glad to see everyone shouting this!
Please. It's been requested forever. It's gonna be classic metal before long.
Yes! Yes! Finely more metalheads are shouting out for this band. Their last album will be an album that will stand the test of time in metal.
This album I'm looking forward to..sadly to say John lost his wife not to long ago..from drugs..so it might effect the album
Jon stated tht this album will be darker
I hope there will be more "Korn bass" on this album. This song lacks it and you can feel it something is missing from overall great song
Piotr Marciniak Judging from how the single was mixed, I don't expect the bass to sound as present as it did back in the day. It's there, but it's buried by the very loud guitars and drums.
Hopefully, this album will have that devastating event fueling it's creation. Not that that event was a good thing...but more it can be an opportunity to write....and heal. I'm looking forward to this album.
James Swanson Same scenario with the new Slipknot album
Love the videos guys. The only Reaction channel I still watch.
You guys did such a great video on Immortal Technique's "Dance with the Devil", I would *love* to see you guys react to KoRn's "Daddy"
Subscribed just because of this. I love korn!! I am blessed to be able to see them live every year. They age like fine wine.
If you want something contemporary, listen to Bow Down by I Prevail. The energy on that track is unreal.
Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata one of the most bad ass videos out there! This band from New Zealand need some attention
Allan Hansen as a NZ patreon of these guys I demand it ;)
I second this.
Nice & real reaction/review guys. Thank u for ur honesty. Love this channel. IMO, ever since Brian (Head) came into the band on Paradigm Shift I feel that they've been creating some of the best stuff they ever have. He & James (Munky) working as a gtr team had def been lacking in their sound. Their evolution & growth as people, musicians & songwriters is so impressive to me. Old school Korn fans, don't misunderstand me. I absolutely love their early stuff too. But now their songs have real structure & also big obvious choruses. A lot of their early stuff was more quirky & sometimes kinda all over the place with song parts. It was cool cuz it was so different than anything that had been done before. With their stuff now, I don't feel that they've lost any of those awesome elements that made that Korn sound. It's just that the machine is more finely tuned & solidified in their song arrangements. I wonder if maybe Ray (drummer) may also have something to do with that, being that he's the only one with a formal musical education. Drummers make great arrangers. Google it for proof. To me, they've been fully clicking on all cylinders since 2013. I'm stoked for the new album.
I think your question at the beginning is very valid and was a great question to pose as well. I think that after you ask those questions and dive back into the song again... and begin to listen to the song for what it is you begin to see them for how definitely creative and similar at the same time they all are.
after attending their record listening party here in L.A. a few days ago. I'm convinced this album will be their darkest and heaviest. Munky said on the scale of heaviness, this song was in the middle !! 🤯.....and this is pretty heavy ! The other song I heard off this album was wayyyyy heavier and darker than even this song.
ROTD3 is already out, guys! The closing track...
Just getting into you guys @lostinvegas and would be great if you would do more Korn reactions. You haven’t really done many from their 30 year career but I know George said he’s listened to some of their stuff in the past. Many thanks!
Not lacking creativity, this is authentisity!😎 loving the song an you guys👊🏻
Primus- To Defy the Laws of Tradition
"Jerry Was A Race Car Driver" is a prerequisite to this
I've never clicked on a notification so fast!
That’s vintage Korn right there baby! Loving it... can’t wait for the album to come out!!!
Very powerful song. I relate with most of their songs. Been one of my favorite bands since they started.
8:50 iM lOsT yOu'Li NeVeR fInD mE😂
4:00 it sounds like alice in chains - man in a hole, the part where he says "i'd like to flyyyy"
and in general it sounds like alice in chains - bleed the freak
MlSHKlN that’s what I was thinking
Love you guys!!❤️💯
Opeth- Heir Apparent. Love the videos yall make! 🤘
Archspire - The Mimic Well, technical death metal but with heavy chopper vocals inspired by techn9s fast rap
Rivers of Nihil- Where Owls Know My Name
They need to react to this song!!!
That would sure be a great "gateway" song for these guys.
Given that I saw this suggestion twice I'm gonna check it out myself!
jeeez, it's like you dum dums have never heard a sax before... u_u
@@DZADangerous Did you like it? What did you think?
Love seeing you guys dissect new metal. I highly recommend The Contortionist, Silent Planet, Unearth, and Rivers of Nihil. Also, Killswitch Engage just released a new song ya'll should check out.
I love how few times you paused it to comment. That's being immerse in the vibe of the song. Korn nails it once again.
React to some Social Distortion. They have been a mainstay of mine since the late 80's and are still out on tour. Going to see them Sept. 13th!
This album is gonna be something we've wanted for years. Jon's best work always comes out after tragedy. That poor, poor man. He deserves everything good in this world.
Edit:
Got my tickets to see them in August. Stoked. Haven't seen them since I was 14, Family Values Tour '07. First time seeing them with Head.
I’m going to see them in Denver!! Got the tickets as a gift for my dad on Father’s Day! Looking forward to see these guys live with Alice In Chains
You wanted to see him suffer?
@@jhonny1416 Is that what I said? Pretty sure I made an observation. Every great KoRn album was made during a rough time for Davis, that's just the facts.
@@greenkorn69 SoMeThInG We'Ve WaNtEeeeD For YeArS
Looking forward to the new KoRn album. Very hyped about it.
This is their 13th studio album. They have over 40 music vids and when you listen to it hose vids back to back, they have a nice mix of tunes. They are at the stage of coming up with a few new songs to add to the live set. These guys are legends for keeping the band together this long.
New alter bridge song - Wouldn’t You Rather
Agreed.
I've loved Korn since 96 and I loved and followed them since self titled and all the way through Life Is Peachy I kinda fell off them through the later albums just cause they were really good but also very experimental which is great and I appreciate that but it some ways, if felt like they had lost that tone that had originally attracted me to them. It seems that with all this metal trending and older metal bands like Slipknot, Korn and Tool andthat whole era are back on the rise again which is awesome but at the same time hardcore fans who have stuck with the metal scene even on the slope sides are kinda like "wtf this is all shit we've been hearing??" So it's gonna be really interesting to see where it leads. Sorry it was long winded, I really should look into writing an article for a magazine. (Yeah right😂) Can't wait for more reactions. ❤
This album is seemingly about Jonathan Davis' grief after losing his wife. He says that he did a lot of it himself, and that it's pretty dark. There's a great interview on Facebook and UA-cam, by Karang
whenever ive heard metal before its just gone in one ear and out the other. ive never sat down and listened in the past. very recently ive been discovering metal and wow i wish id sat down and listened to all this sooner.
I love Paradigm Shift 🖤 React to more old school Korn
At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
I''m totally agree on the fact this song brings me back, to early 2000's. I'm pretty sure there's some people waiting for the "good old" sound of Korn. I love it plus the album is coming out 3 days after my birthday so it's the perfect gift from me to me haha. Take care guys!
As a Korn fan, this is what we wanted! They're a very experimental band which can sometimes be good and other times not so good but this is true to their old style
Please react to *Rammstein* soon, some videos on UA-cam have translation to English lyrics
They've reacted to Du Hast on Patreon. Unlikely they'll ever do a Rammstein UA-cam video due to copyright strikes, they mentioned this in that video.
No, they are coming back to the old korn. We missed the old Korn. So this is great! The bad thing about reactions is that you hear it as it's requested. But we have been waiting for new korn and it's back to old "loved" Korn. Not hating your review, you didn't know George.
Thank you for reacting to this song. I’ve been really digging this song. It does sound similar to some of their past albums but this is a song for me that is getting better with each listen. I even reviewed the song on my channel (not the most professional looking review but it is what it is lol). Korn was one of my first bands and kind of a gateway band for me too. Linkin Park is another gateway band for me too. Nu Metal was kind of what started my journey into rock and metal. Can’t wait for the new album. PLEASE upload your reaction to My Own Summer by Deftones to UA-cam. I really enjoyed that reaction and it really put a smile on my face since that Deftones is another band that I’ve loved for years. Anyways, keep up the good work man.
I would love to see you guys do some more dream theater
KING 810 - I aint goin back again [OFFICIAL VIDEO]. Trust me you wont regret this.
Ryan- “ Do I sound like a pretentious metal head now?”
Yes, yes you do.... welcome
Pretentious metal heads don't listen to Korn
Great honest reaction. I heard some older Korn and NIN in this song. They return to the "falling down" theme often (most creatively in Shoots and Ladders). But I will have to listen to the whole new album.
I’ve been a long time Korn fan and the last few albums have been way outside the Korn I grew up listening... this is more along the lines is what I think of when I think of Korn. And to add to the part where you thought it sounds familiar I have to agree. Every time he said that part I heard “ring around the Posies we all fall down”! Lol don’t know why! Thanks for sharing
Best reactors out!! If you don’t like you ain’t a fan 😟💯🔥
You guys should do a Hey Joe Jimi Hendrix reaction.
Issues- Tapping Out
Dance Gavin Dance - Deception
Blessed By a Broken Heart - Move Your Body
All got grooves and hooks.
Me agrada su canal, son sinceras sus opiniones y reacciones. Korn nunca deja de sorprender aunque parezca el mismo sonido de siempre que los caracteriza, siempre hay algo novedoso y de frescura en su música!!!
cold is much darker, you need to react to that song...
I'd love to see what you guys would think of Korn's Dubstep album lol I'd love to see you react to songs off of Path of Totality
great album
Joseph Croteau I think it’s there worst imo
@@Simon-co6uo They def have worse albums but in general im not a fan of the dubstep thing as a metalhead although i appreciate the work put into some of the better tracks on the album, the singles were dope but the rest sucked
@@Simon-co6uo Untitled and Korn III were both hot garbage, Path of Totality is way way better than those two albums
I think the interview he did with Kerrang week or two ago, JD said he locked himself up and wrote this album and didn't come out because he was dealing with the passing of his wife. I can't wait for this album I feel there will be some good stuff in the album.
It feels like Korn has brought a familiarity in this song that has the nostalgia to bring the listener in and makes them delve deep within the music.
This track to me was classic, good style Korn. The albums without Head were just not as strong. This is like their self titled album or even Freak on a leash. it for sure brought me back
Architects - Doomsday
Pleeaseeee !!! 😁👍
Yes please!
Any Architects song would be awesome!
Yes. Architects please!
+1
Best idea ever!
As a long time fan, I agree that I was looking for something more. Something to push the envelope. It's still Korn, but I was hoping for something fresh - something to get me excited for what's next. I can't wait to hear more and I hope this song was just "playing it safe" for the sake of being the first single. I love the reviews guys, great stuff!
I wasn’t ready for this band when they first came out they completely blew my mind..
The chorus sounds like it's very much influence by Alice in Chains who they are currently touring with

Seeing them both in August and I can’t wait.
HeroCity fun fact, Billy Corgan helped write this song!

Dude, I always forget how badass Spineshank was!
Height of Callousness!
I would love to hear some Spineshank. Self destructive pattern, dead to me, negative space. Basically anything off height of callousness or self destructive pattern
Strictly diesel was my shit. Stain (start the machine) with Burton from fear factory was heavy as hell
Great reaction guys! My favorite part of this song is the breakdown, classic Korn. Not their best I guess but Im really liking it. I like the theme of this song and the description you read from Jonathon. For me it's very real that presence and mixture of different forces guiding you along. I call it spiritual warfare.
This is a real return to form for Korn, and the reason it sounds so familiar is Korn's use of 3 chord progressions in their choruses go waaay back. I think the high production value and the little bits of ear candy in this track really make it special. There is also a little prog rock in the mix as well.
melodic death metal!
Arch Enemy - My Apocalypse (album ver)
Soilwork - Weapon of Vanity
In Flames - Take this Life
Scar Symmetry - Timewave Zero
Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?
Dark Tranquillity - Nothing to No One
Solution .45 - For Aeons Past
Disarmonia Mundi - Quicksand Symmetry
Good stuff
Should add something from Insomnium too. One of the best melo-Death bands of the 21st century.

Please try out Berzerker by After the Burial
But NOT the band The Berzerker.
So we're clear.
Great Jam!
Reshpeck correct 😉
Korn was my first metal band I kept listening to
Upon a burning body- from darkness. This band is the best current (new) metal
Due for another Van Halen song. Mean Street off of the album Fair Warning. Eddie’s best guitar album.
Hey guys, you seriously need to review “Sign of the Southern Cross” by Black Sabbath.
Great genuine reaction . Please do Lupe fiasco deliver one of his many gems and I swear you guys will love it .
Guys, new Korn came out last Friday. Cold. Would love to see your reaction.
Gojira - vacuity

I second this recommendation
Revenge of the dreams III... THE WHOLE ALBUM
Pain of Salvation - On a Tuesday.
That's my new suggestion for you from them :)
Later you can proceed to the songs that are considered "classics" (and they're really fantastic!):
Iter Impius (my favorite song in the entire universe)
Beyond The Pale
King of Loss.
This song kicks me to the 90's era!!! ✌🤟
