Lead singer Jon Davis wrote the lyrics to this song about the music industry, which he compares to an owner walking a dog. While he's this freak being paraded around, corporate America is making all the money... and it's taking a part of him.
This may just be *the* most crushing breakdown in music. Tremendous song. I don't understand people who don't appreciate how epic this is. Entertaining video too. :)
Korn started to blow up right as i was about to enter high school. They came out of what seamed like no where with a sound unlike anything at the time and lyrics that really spoke to the outcast kids who didnt fit in.
Fun fact: Todd McFarlane did the animation/drawings for this video. He is the creator of Spawn (comics, along with other titles under his artistry). Korn was on the Spawn movie soundtrack, a collab song with the Dust Brothers called "Kick The P.A." - KoRn is one of my fave bands, for sure. Each album is a gem. Life Is Peachy, Follow The Leader and Issues are the top 3 albums by KoRn. They are amazing live.
KoRn nuTT We gotta ease him into it - cant be taking him straight to the dark side, we gotta acclimate him - like introducing a little fish into a very dark aquarium
KoRn nuTT Man, I’ve seen a lot of reaction channels dive straight into Daddy - Vin and Sori did, it messed that girl up, she wasnt ready for it. Vin knew about it tho.
I'm Filipino, back when I was in H.S '95-99 my peers never understood me why I listened and rocked to their songs at school, a Christian school. Hehe. I'm 37 now with 2 children & I still rock to them on my spotify playlist. Felt nostalgic watching the video once again. Try reacting to their video GOT THE LIFE.
Korn has been my number 1 fav band for over 20 years followed by Slipknot. Definitely check out here to stay, coming undone and their new album just released is great! Their song "Blind" woodstock show is another dope video to check out.
The next Korn song to react to has to be "coming undone"! The meaning of "freak on a leash" that I've heard is that it's about the music business/fame and not being allowed to do everything you want and having to do things you don't want to do.
The lead singer curated and cowrote the "Queen of the Damned" soundtrack. Some of the artist you've been listening to are on the soundtrack. You could tell it's designed after his style once you've heard it. It'll remind you of this song.
"Thoughtless" is my favorite Korn song! Jesse Pinkman is the main character of the video, way before Breaking Bad came out 😁💜 loving the channel as always
Damn dude! You just blew my mind with that bullet symbolizing him being the "freak on a leash". I got this album as soon as it dropped and been and old school Korn fan since they started and I seen this video a billion times and that thought never even crossed my mind. I had another, personal, subjective view on it but yeah my dude. That's awesome.
One of my fav bands of all time, been following them since they started, and the only band I have seen in concert. I nearly got crushed , had no feet on the floor it was crazy.
Funny that you said “Children of the Corn” because there’s a track called Children of the Korn that features Ice Cube on this same album. You should listen to it.
I remember how old dudes are always like “damn now this song takes me back” Well... damn this song takes me back. 16 working at McDonald’s summer time of 99. This is when I really started to pay attention to the true beauty of music. How it grabs your effin brain and bleeds straight into your soul. Giving you goosebumps. Like yeah feel this.
React to Smile Empty Soul: - "Bottom of a Bottle" - "Silhouettes" - "This is War" - "Nowhere Kids" I promise you won't regret listening to this band. They'll remain on your playlist for years to come!
Love Korn! Seen these guys in concert so many times...Great, Great Show they put on!! Jamal, check out Falling away from me, Got the Life, Hey Daddy, and Somebody Someone...Just to name a few more, thanks.
I love how you listen to a bunch of songs from a band shortly after you first react to them. It gives you such a better picture of what that band is like than any one song could. Smart way to do it, and something I don't see any other reaction channels really doing.
One of the best dongs EVER. Korn live is LIVE. The energy @ the is SICK. After the skat when JD says go... oh sh!t bro.... all the way through the show the same way just mass amounts of energy. Here to stay is another great one.
Ok so this video won a bunch awards from MTV for best video etc... If you listen to this song on a good system it bumps hard!!! HUGE fan of Korn. Seen then 7 times live
Check out "All in the Family" Its off the same album as this song and it has Korn and Limp Bizkit going back and forth in a diss track : D its one of my favorites
1:12 hahahha they actually have a song called Children Of The KoRn! you should definitely check it out (it has some funky rap metal vibes featuring Ice Cube so I'm sure you'll like it) great reaction as always, keep it up!
Hey man! You gotta watch "Korn- Falling Away From Me" now. The video starts right as this one ENDS. So, they connect. Plus, it's one of the dopest songs ever.
Korn "Blind" at Woodstock 99' The best crowd footage ever. No cell phones. 500,000 people jumping like liquid. Korn was at the height of metal and are still selling out shows today!!
Thoroughly enjoy it when reaction channels get to this song! Korn is a treasure trove of hidden potential that shown through a tainted lens; the video suggestion I would like to make is if you have ever had a thing for Angelina Jolie, I would recommend *DID MY TIME* Korn had a song on the 2nd Tomb Raider movie.
The imagery in the video has always choked me the hell up. I had children about the same age as the ones in the cartoon and the trajectory of that bullet was just millimeters from killing any number of them along the way. Imagine how that guard would have felt of he had struck one of them. Always chokes me up even to this day. This video was a work of art.
When Korn first came out in 94.. radio stations were afraid to play them cause they were too real and hardcore.. then they gave in.. Korn are innovaters, they created a whole musical movement and many bands tried to copy their sound and image.. Korn and ice cube have done a few tracks together.. funny you said Children of the Corn.. there is a song of that title featuring ice cube.. And Korn is on an album with ice cube.. song title "Fuck Dying" Dr. Dre, Snoop, and and a few others are in a limpbizkit video with Korn.. I love how all them boys from the West coast were homies
Along with Deftones in 95, Korn in 94 set the foundation of what would become nu-metal music. And if you follow both bands careers, Korn won the battle, but I think Deftones will eventually win the war of who is more influential on music for the past 25+ years. I really loved this band back in the mid to late 90s, but this single really broke the camels back in that the popularity of the band was close to Beatles level and the music they came out with after really didn't resonate at the same level.
Do a reaction to Rush "The Garden" it is the last song on their last studio album recorded. Pay attention to the lyrics it's heavy. 😥😥R.I.P. Neil Peart😥😥

The band is the freak on a leash.. this song is about the music industry or record companies
😅THANKS😅
Which then also goes into "yall want a single", since they were bound by some restricting contracts
Ya about them being whored out by the labels. Hence the line "a cheap fuck for me to lay"
Rob Esposito I’ll be honest and admit I never understood the lyrics to that part, and I finally get it now after 20 years. Cheers, my dude.✌️
I thought the song was about Brian Welch's sexual/romantic experiences, but the record label thing makes alot of sense.
Dude, you wouldn't believe how big of a deal these guys were when this album first dropped - the whole musical landscape warped around them!
He is not wrong, they changed Rock music!
Wasnt even a big Korn fan AT ALL during the late 90s, but as i got older i started to appreciate what they gave us.
They are the Rabbit Hole till this day. Last time I saw Head he was on Huckabee and Johnathan was on Alex Jones.
@@AClark-jx9zp when was this? Davis on Jones show?
They started a whole new genre and sound.
Lead singer Jon Davis wrote the lyrics to this song about the music industry, which he compares to an owner walking a dog. While he's this freak being paraded around, corporate America is making all the money... and it's taking a part of him.

"FALLING AWAY FROM ME" is the 2nd half to this!
+1 it continues the music video and is an amazing song!!!
I would recommend this video as well as Here to Stay.

“They got these kids out here lookin like children of the corn” kinda the point, they literally have a song called ‘Children of the Korn’ lol
You have now entered the wormhole known as KoRn, I can't wait for more 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥
