Yeah but it was a good choice of him to put the V8 in the car. Sounds a million times better. I'm sorry but V6 mustangs are Camaros or challengers are not muscle cars and for the price of those cars you can just get the v8 version, gas mileage can be over 20 if you are not heavy footed.
@@guitarsandcars2586 when i got my 2011 3.7 convert, i most def could not afford the v8 counterpart and thats before insurance. I think most people who get the v6 understands the compromise
Awesome job great video !!! I recently fought with myself with over ditching my 12s 3.7 and going with a gen 2 coyote swap. I ended up going Pro charged on my 3.7 How much were you all in ? Between the forge pistons and better rods, kings bearings, valve springs to handle 8000Rpm and finding a used Pro charger set and getting a decent tune I was $8500 all in. On Pro charger stock pulley, I made 7 psi Car made 408 @ 7400 rpm on 93. 444 @ 7600 on smaller pulley at 10 psi here in hot ass Florida on 93. My car runs a consistent 11.8-11.9 @ 119mph on drag radials. I've beat quite a few 5.0 2011-2017 but the damn newer Coyotes with the 10r80 are the reason I had to get a smaller pulley.
Very nice vid with the project car. I got two questions if you dont mind, how much does that lift cost and to maintain it? Lastly, how long did the restomod and swap take?
The lift was $3,500 super easy to maintain I’ve had no problems with it, and it took a couple years to save up and collect parts but once I actually did it I had it done in 3-4 days it went together like a Lego set lol
@@beaverbuilds5502 so I’m debating on doing this to my s550 v6 , I want it to be a journey forsure make sure to get all the parts . Did you switch over the motor mounts from the old gt to the v6 ? And also how difficult was the wiring? Did you take everything from the gt and basically swapped it ? Did you leave any parts from the v6 alone ? (Wiring wise ) like under the dash wires , or did you swap those also
Yeah I had the same issue, I built custom harnesses for them, but later on swapped in a 2014 bcm, it’s the fuse box in the interior and its keeps the low beams on while the shutter opens (how it’s supposed to work) for the hid headlights and all you have to do is reprogram your TPMS. They definitely made a mistake with those 13/14 style headlights
@beaverbuilds5502 I'm. I have everything plugged up but getting a security code car won't crank but everything works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I haven't changed any wires in my bcm
i also have a 11' mustang that same color same engine v6 cyclone and i got into a car accident and i would to fix it up . where and how did you find the parts to fixs yours
how much would you estimate that it would cost me to do this myself? I want a coyote but dont want to spend as much as what the current market demands, have considered this project idea for a while, just questioning the funds. Thank you!
All depends on how good of a deal you can get a wrecked one for, I got mine for 4k and sold enough parts to pretty much break even, I ended up getting a lot of other aftermarket parts though
It has been my experience that 4.10 gears don't work that well with tremec transmissions that have extremely steep first gears, such as my old 2002 Mustang GT. In normal driving you are literally shifting into third gear before you make it across an intersection at a stoplight.
I’m sure you figured this out by now, sorry for the late reply, I had the same issue, the maf sensor plug is pinned differently on the v6 body harness so I corrected that and it ran great
Woahhh this was AWSOME like seriously how freaking cool I only wish I could build a little shop to work on my stang I want to gt500 swap it so bad but with the 5.8 to make 800hp so far I’ve got all upgraded suspension and wheels and tires as well as big brakes I’ve even pulled the rest end from a gt500 and that was built with 3:73s and mosier axles only had 2500 miles on it when he got rear ended but the guy sold the engine and trans before I found him otherwise u alr know I would’ve literally taken the whole guts out and put it into my little v6 dm me please I need the details about this @sandratha4.oh
This video hit the spot, this is ALMOST exactly how I want my future mustang to look
You did an amazing job brotha!! Would love to see more videos from you
Lots of work, good job
You can’t tell that it was ever a v6 lees alone crashed one you did a great job bro
7:10 damn that MK4 looks great
Awesome work buddy looks good.
Bro like what the heck?!?! That is so flipping nasty crazy🤟 you be scoopin!
Simply beautiful!
A job well done car looks good
amazing vid i wanna do this with my 11 v6
this was a long time ago but were you able to use the mid exhaust pipes from the v6 or did you need to get a whole new system? was it the same size?
I needed a whole new exhaust system, the GT exhaust is slightly larger
great job guys.
In the beginning it doesn’t sound bad for a v6

Price on the engine and trans if you don’t mind??? Where would you find one thats reliable?
I hope you used the s500 enging it has a better bottom end if you plan on boosting it.

Insurance companies hate this trick.
Did you change the engine and transmission too? about how much did you spend? What else did you change?
That’s dope bro I loved this vid ❤. 58th sub
Awesome job guys!
looking to do this to my 2013 did u follow a forum or anything
where did you get the fog lights in the grill? or were they factory?
Hell yeah bro I love it
how did you do the 13/14 headlights? I bought some in AM but the brights didn’t work.

hey where did you get that grille???
Was you able to use the v6 body wiring harness
Yes I was just had to switch a wire on the maf sensor
@beaverbuilds5502 is there a good forum that you used or did you figure all this out on your own. Great Job by the way.

@lanecouch488 you need to send in the ecu to someone to have the PATS security system deleted
This video is so underrated
What and where did you get the paint for the calipers when you painted the 5.0 breaks
I powder coated them, and just ordered the power coat gun and coating on eBay. They aren’t perfect but it wasn’t hard to do!
Very cool the way it came out, I’m literally right next to you I’m in Fayette co.
Lol that’s awesome, I live right by Uk’s campus now. Do you ever go to cars and coffee?

Some from Facebook marketplace, a lot from eBay and ford, just tried to find the best deals
Great build and hobby but i have to ask. How much more did you spend on buying 3 salvaged cars and repairs to make one car that runs?
2-3k on cars like that bc that coyote (1.0 and 2.0) has had time to be wrecked.
Did you have to change the fuel pump or anything with the tank?
I did not all that was the same part number
Nice build, what’s your career?
She ❤❤ should go with need for speed build and do body kit on it would look fire 🔥
Great video, and great build! One question, how did you get the 2014 premium cluster to work with the 2011?

Did you have to change the whole wiring system are is it like building a foxbody with the coyote swapp
I had to change the ecu and the engine harness, I also had to modify the body harness a bit, overall was fairly easy

They were okay on the v6 since it didn’t have a crazy amount of power but once the 5.0 was in I switched to 3.73
I like the hood you choose where is it from and do you have link or site that you can share… 💪🏽

What kind of headlight housing are those?
I got them on eBay they are 2014 housings that work with the 2011 harnesses

I’m sure you figured this out by now, sorry for the late reply, I had the same issue, the maf sensor plug is pinned differently on the v6 body harness so I corrected that and it ran great
How did you make the 2014 cluster function in the car I have a cluster but the setting buttons don’t work
You have to wire in the 2014 premium mustang buttons, there are some forums on how to do it
Where the 3.7 engine?? I’ll take it lol I can go crazy mod the one I have already 🤣
fire
buying 3 cars to build 1?
idk but that seems kinda expensive - wouldnt it be cheaper just to sell the v6 and buy a 5.0?
Definitely a lot less time but this car is special to me and after I sold all the extra parts I’m in the car for 10k
You did yo shit on this car
Badass
Nice
I have a 2011 v6 donate me the spare parts I’ll pay for shipping ✅
