My issue with it is that it looks like a mid-cycle refresh rather than a new generation. The SN95 to the S197 was a major change, and the S550 was a major change from that. This one just looks too much like the previous generation that was already 8 years old.
The SN-95 was split into two “generations,” the SN-95 and the SN-95 (internally called SN-99) “New Edge.” The S197 was split into two “generations” as well. The S197 that debuted in 2004 and the S197 II that debuted in 2010. This is literally no different.
Exterior will probably grow on me but there's no argument that last gen interior looked way better. The new gen interior looks like it'd be at home in a crossover or a pickup truck. Doesn't look appropriate at all in a sporty car. The iconic double hump dashboard design is gone too, which is a bummer.

I like S550 premium + digital cluster more. Both inside and out, has a nice mix of new and old. But the new body style specifically in the convertible option actually looks nicer than last Gen imo
This is one of those cars that you have to see in person to like, I saw the Bullitt version and it was absolutely beautiful, it had this metallic green paint and the way it wrapped the curves was amazing

With modern cars, every single one looks better in person. Wasn't a huge fan of the exterior design of the maverick truck we were going to buy when I saw it in pics. But in person, the maverick looks fantastic. Especially when it's painted in Area 51. I've never seen a car that looks worse in person.

The new version doesn’t look bad but I’m still a fan of the last generation. I had a 2013 supercharged RTR when the S550 came out and I hated it but then it grew on me and I have had three since and currently have a 2020 Gt500. They always seem to grow on me once you see them on the road in person.
Yeah, never happened for me that way. 2013-14 was the best looking modern Mustang by far and will be the last one in my little world until the design team tops putting lipstick on this pig. Of course if they bend to the unsustainable EV fad pressure it's pretty much over for this car.

I feel like there are enough features on the 2024 Ecoboost, like Auto Engine Start/Stop, and the higher resolution screens, to make me want a 2024 over something like a 2019 or 2021 Ecoboost as my first Mustang. But there's no way I'm gonna be paying $15k more for those features when a 2019 Premium Ecoboost with 25k miles is only $25,000. 2024's are just way too expensive to be attractive at the current price.
The Ecoboost makes 70% of the Horsepower of the GT while costing half the price to own. This is is a point every sheep spouting the same BS doesn't understand. Sometimes paying twice the cost for Insurance, gas, and maintenance and only getting 30% more power, isn't a selling point to those of us with more sense than money. I say this as a person who could have easily bought a mach 1. Balancing of responsibilities and Fun. Strange concept I know.

I have, and love a 2018 GT premium conv. Perf pack, magna ride , active exhaust , forged wheels, GREAT CAR. THE NEW ONE IS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL. I am sure there will be improvements in most areas of the car. That’s what they do. I would love to drive a loaded Dark Horse 10 speed.
The car looks nice, I do really like the looks of it... but it just doesn't look intimidating enough for some reason. Previous Mustangs had that growl about them, this one just seems neutral and rental-car ready. Maybe with upcoming variations and appearance packages it'll look a bit meaner but even that GT they were talking about didn't look all that fierce. Hard to explain, but it just looks too friendly for a Mustang, still a nice-looking car though, fitting for the period.
i have the S650 GT performance pack on order. but had the 2016 ecoboost. What frustrates about all reviews on the ecoboost is the lack of forethought. The younger rev heads do actually buy this. because for low 30s, you can chuck on a big intercooler, intake and tune from PD tuning (90% of ecoboosts...) and you're 100kgs less than a GT, with much more torque and around 380hp pretty reliably. Like, i took mine to a track day here in australia and i did better times than the GT's. Maybe driver mod, but the GTs would walk away on the straights, but not by much, and through the corners i would make up 6 carlengths. My std brakes didn't fade either. the GT's brakes were done after 3 hotlaps. i felt slight fade after 8. They are both great cars, but for totally different reasons. only reason i'm going to the GT is because i've done the ecoboost journey. Do i want to do the exact same thing to the same car? I am older and naturally have more money, i can afford the big engine car as well. But there is a big appeal for a lightweight turbo front engined rear drive sports car that can extremely easily be tuned to really, really change the car.
A base gt is like 40 grand. Try to find another recently redesigned, brand new 500 hp RWD sports car that looks this good. The challenger is dead, the Camaro is dead, the new z is slower than the s550, so it's going to get gapped by this new car.
No. The 2.7T wouldn’t be powerful enough. But the 3.0 and 3.5 would overlap for the most part with the 5.0. While the ecoboost would offer more Torque, the 5.0 offers more HP which is more appealing to buyers.
The 2.3 Ecoboost is frankly an excellent engine. And not enough horsepower for a Mustang? It makes more power and torque than a naturally aspirated Ford 302 V8. Carrol Shelby himself said you cant' really use more than 300 hp. in the street. Not and keep your license. The Ecoboost with the performance pack is an excellent street car that will make you laugh out loud you're having so much fun in it.
Imagine… paying $44,000 for an EcoBoost. 😢 Dealership markups will take these things over $60,000 USD for the base trim if Doughnut has taught me anything. The worst part? People will pay it 😭

I am sure everybody will get used to the new look, but I wish the body was a bit tighter and less bulky. Reviewers, please, if you're going to show a convertible, show it with the top up from different angles. Love the convertibles, but truth is the top will be up most of the time!
Just like with the M2, M3 and M5 the previous gen Mustang was peak. 2015-17 still looks the best and if I ever upgrade my Cobra that will be the years I get. Also, 45k for an ecoboost...yikes. That is also the reason I won't upgrade to brand new the car prices are just insane, i'm not paying that much period. I can have just as much fun in my Cobra and I paid half that.

Reviewers, please, if you're going to show a convertible, show it with the top up from different angles. Love the convertibles, but truth is the top will be up most of the time!

Just like with the M2, M3 and M5 the previous gen Mustang was peak. 2015-17 still looks the best and if I ever upgrade my Cobra that will be the years I get. Also, 45k for an ecoboost...yikes. That is also the reason I won't upgrade to brand new the car prices are just insane, i'm not paying that much period. I can have just as much fun in my Cobra and I paid half that.
I Still Like the 2018 - 2023 Headlights But I Do Like the 2024 Taillights. Go Figure?
