GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! The first embargo lifted for the all new Mustang EcoBoost! Let me know what you think in the comments section!
It's a good car for me to buy one Joe!
Good Morning Joe! Sorry I'm a little late just woke up lol. But boy oh boy what a pony to have in store for us. I really think Ford improved the Ecoboost model for 2024. Being a Gen Z I love the updated tech, and the interior touches are very nice. 👍🏻
P.S. I could tell you guys were in California based on all the Graffiti lol😅😅

If I was a car salesman, I’d just put your videos on at my desk and let customers make up their minds. You’re doing 50% of their jobs for them.
That is so awesome of you to say Richard!
As a salesman that is the ticket way out to the front door with the customer 😢…
He works with the dealers, he really never mentions dealer mark up prices, only starting price and that’s never accurate.
It’s sad what the dealers and manufacturers are doing to the average car buyer
@gogo7702 well it doesn't matter since every dealership accross the states will charge different prices for these cars. Aslong as he's stating the hard facts that are universal such as MSRP and specs. He's doing a great job
Undoubtedly. But test drives still make a huge difference, and a huge decision-making impact or deal breaker.
I like it when the cop passed going the other direction (21:43) and Raiti got quiet and checked his rear view mirror twice.
ayaya hahahha
Bro had to make sure 😂
Raiti Status: “Ball so hard mf’s wanna fine me”

sports car NOT!!! 😆 I referred him to you joe so let him have it lol 😆
@@wl6279 Technically - they call it a "World car" - But yes, it is definitely, a sports car. The money you spend nowadays for one may seem like a lot - but I've got an 18 GT that's my daily and other than gen maintenance, it's been truly flawless, fun and a true pleasure to own.

The hardest part of raiti doing reviews is deciding what snack names to use per pocket
You know it!
How about a brisket bbq sandwich from Qwik Trip?
As I was watching this, there was a Kit-kat ad that popped up 😀
I remember when the first mustang came out in 1964. I was a young kid at the time and my neighbor who was a firefighter and a car nut bought one for his daughter. The Mustang was red, 6 cyl with a 3 speed on the floor. Fortunately she was friends with my older sister so we all got rides in it. It was a cool little car at the time.
That’s such s cool story! Thank you fir sharing!
Your comment on the horse power issue is spot on Joe. Apparently anything less than 400 hp is garbage. It’s out of control lol. Most of those people don’t even go to the track either
Most regular people can't handle a fwd 200hp car let alone rwd and 300 to 400hp lol.
I understand the need for more horsepower if you have a 5,000 lb SUV or truck weight is a real thing but on the street In your average sports car or sports sedan is more than enough to have fun without going to jail this is the something most German cars miss cough audi
@@mattjingles5758 exactly. So many of these buyers aren’t skilled enough to properly handle these cars. For example the mustang has a bad rep for crashing but I’ve driven the s550 v8. If you don’t have respect for the power and the skill it takes to handle it, then you’re bound to crash.
@@TwoDollarGararge lol yup. It blows my mind when people say a car with 500, 400, and even 355 hp is slow. The vast majority of those people didn’t even track their cars and are the ones driving recklessly on the roads
@@rd4809 in the streetcar The way the power is delivered gearing and weight are far more important I'm a back road coneseuir myself 220hp tops
I drove a 2019 eco-boost, and was floored by the performance in sports mode. I think it’s very reasonable power for the price also very exciting.
300hp manual rwd not many sports cars like that anymore that aren't 60k +
I own a 2018 6-speed manual base model, with the wheel and stripe package and 101A package. Only performance upgrades are a custom 2.5” cat back exhaust, strut tower brace, and COBB Stage 1+ kit (CAI and access port with OTS 91 octane Stage 1 tune). I love taking it on twisty roads, and rowing the gears.
@@E52O4 that’s awesome bro. I have a 98 civic with a NA JDM Vtec engine paired with a manual gearbox. Love rowing gears myself
And here we are, waking up to watch the new Mustang. Great car by the way, easy to drive and powerful enough to have some fun.
You know it Omar! Tomorrow morning is the GT!
You nailed it right in the head, omar!😂

@@SickMy_Duckthis is so very true!
Fun fact: My old V6 from 2014 got better gas mileage and the same HP basically.
But have you driven the 2.3? It just doesn’t feel quick at all. My Lexus gs350 feels quicker still. It just seems to run out of breath after 5k rpm.
I was 16 when the Mustang was introduced. My first new car was a 1974 Mustang II four on the floor V6 with a sunroof. I had it for over 100,000 miles and 12 years. Then my family increased in size. Finally in 2017 I had my second Mustang ---- a Mustang EcoBoost premium 6 speed auto. So much fun to drive.
Hay man, being watching for a while love the vids on mustangs went and got a 2018 Oxford White with black vinyl stripes 2 months ago, I'm 56 years old and today got the courage to put the ehaust in sport mode haha love it..im still scared to floor it but I love the sound.. My only problem is my mates keep wanting to have a drive which the answers is sorry no ..just want to say to you big thankyou cause your vids made it look so good and the car is everything and more, thanks man...
Exterior looks great, interior is much improved and premium looking, and the little Ecoboost performs great with good fuel economy. Id still rather have a GT manual but can see this being perfect for a daily driver for mild climate locations.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
I had 3 GT's and a Cobra in my youth, and this ecoboost has more power than any of them. I don't like the lack of a MT, paddle shifters, nor the piped in sound, but it looks like a fun car nonetheless. I need to research how to remove the piped in sound. Thank you for a great review!
The shape of the headlight harks back to the pre-2018 model, I think it looks better than the out going ones
Great daily driver. 315 hp and (potentially) 32 mpg is like having your cake and eating it, too.
And while the GT will always be the king of Mustang, not everyone will need (or even want) the gas-guzzling V8 just to impress a couple of ladies.
Another great Raiti's Rides review.
It will impress men more than likely.
@MrVanhalen93 well it's a ford so yeah. Ford men like men.
Woman get impressed when you are emotionally available not a V8 Beast. My wife is not impressed when I start my car, she actually gets annoyed because its too loud. Thank the Lord I have the active exhaust haha
@@satchelpalomar5160Yeah fr Ive asked about 3 girls im talking to and they all dont even care thats its a V8 or mustang they like trucks or things that look better 🤦🏻♂️
@@satchelpalomar5160 My point precisely
Great review as always, Joe! In looking at it more, I think the S550 is a sexy beast while the S650 is more of a bruiser. Both are great for so many reasons, but it really will come down to what the owner is looking for.
It never gets old ... Anytime I get the notification, I know something new just dropped .. kudos with the consistency Joe
Thank you Eric for being so supportive
Great review. At 21:46 you passed by a cop and looked in the rear view mirror. I thought you would say something like “he’s turning around, I gotta go on throttle”. Great sound car for a 4 cyl.
I met joe when he purchased his Honda civic type R, I was a salesperson at the dealership he’s really down to earth ❤️💪🏽
The inability to get a Supra after being on a list since May '22 (with a deposit) and the increased price from 59k to 61-62k for nothing extra, I made the call to go fully specced 5.0 where it has all the tech, comforts, and performance that actually makes sense for the 61k price tag
Thanks for another through review Joe! I have ridden in my Nephew's Elantra N and has very similar screen layout to the Mustang's. I remember many years ago given a six cylinder Mustang with manual as a loaner from the dealer. VERY lackluster in that time. This entry level Mustang cooks! Looking forward to the GT video Joe! Robert
I really appreciate that Robert! The GT drive will be insane!
I had the plain Jane 2018 ecoboost, but I put the power pack, which boosted to 330 hp. Put subframe connectors front and rear with tower braces and installed light 15 lbs wheels. Made a world of difference while still getting great gas mileage! These cars are highly tunable. I miss my ecoboost, though mine died while parked because a city truck hit it, and I bastardized to a BMW after city payout... think I need an eco back in my life.
I was at the '64 World's Fair as a pre-teen. 6 yrs later I was driving a Mustang. It was more magical than anything on the road, even the Corvette which was considered as the "rich old guy's car". Mustangs were affordable. My 428 CJ Mach 1 was under $3900 OTD. A '68 289/302 is all I really needed, but those tape kits, shaker scoop, rear louvers and hood pins suckered this teenager right in.😂
That is freaking crazy!

I appreciate that Paul! Tomorrow is the GT
Fantastic review as always! Although I do find myself leaning more towards the previous gen... Perhaps time will tell
Thanks for this review. While I'm sure the GT is great, this seems like a better choice for a daily driver. I'd probably bump up to the Premium though. Not loving the screens though. The only other car I'm considering is the new Integra, but I have a feeling that's apples to oranges😊
What’s different in the premium? I looked on the ford website and couldn’t find a difference when comparing them together
Rick better fuel economi , better quality and some features
Great review Joe, as always your videos have everything enthusiasts need to see. I can't wait to hear how the GT compares to the 6th gen Camaro in handling and dynamics. If Ford made it almost or basically as good as the 6th gen in this regard, they hit a home run and I will own one. They took the S550 and applied everything Chev did with the Camaro and put it in one package. For the people that aren't "I will only buy a XXXX brand car", this seems to check the boxes.
That is some great insight!
Love your videos. I got a ‘19 Eco boost with the performance pack and I’m very happy with it. I wish I’d have known about your videos back then I might have made a different decision. Wish you’d put the speed up there on the screen to see how quickly it gets there.
Got me a 22 ecoboost premium! Drive great! I get 28 mpg driving 100 miles to work and back!
So excited for these S650 Mustangs, and your reviews/drives!!

315 Horse and 350 Torque is good numbers. The Torque will help out a lot.
Big time!
What does 350 torque mean? What’s the difference between that and the horsepower?
@@Dnt461yes.
I’m guessing the manual seat backs is for easier rear “seat” access? Power seats for that would be pretty slow, unless they add some other access function. I have a 16 that has other bells and whistles, but still manual backs.
I am not buying it.
@@RaitisRides me neither. I like my paddle shifters and ventilated seats and rag top and hand brake.
I personally don't see why people want power seats, it's so slow, you can call it more high quality or high tech/advanced and all that all you want, but the practicality and usability of it is the exact opposite, a manual seat is simple and faster and way more practical imo.
Thanks for video! it is really informative. Are the mustangs successful in Toronto winters? coz of the rear wheel drive?
The tail end on these new Mustangs is where it's at, even to the point I can forgive the Camaro like rear fenders. Amazing design.
The front reminds me of the new gen Accord, and that's not a great thing.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one
I knew I wasn't alone in those headlights looking very Honda. Not true to this car at all. Every generation before has had at least one circular headlight on each side
Except the rear has nothing to do with the Camaro. It actually goes back to the original 1st gen Mustang lol

That 2024 TRD Toyota Camry sound better than this
It has that sharper edge styling that updates the Mustang, beautiful car! Everyone wants these tablets/screens on the new interiors of most cars, Ford would be criticized for being out of date if they didn't do screens. I myself am thinking of a used Mustang to get the old dash. But Joe mentions the steering & suspension tuning seems better in the new model. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

Hey Raiti, since Ecoboost does not come with paddleshifters anymore (unless you get performance package), does this version feel as sporty as previous generation with the Sport mode on the automatic? I absolutely love that mode on the exiting ecoboost.

The seats look lush, I do not like the displays up front, too much for me but lots of information. I still like a quota of analogue! 🤣 Great review thanks! 👍
I know how you feel John
Think it would look so much better if the intergrated the screens into the dash somehow, instead of just sticking up right there without any kind of flowing dash that could have made it look cleaner! Just don't like how they just stuck a tablet like screen right there and thats it, but it's pretty cool tech!
All the car companies are just tacking the screen on top of the dash. At least it will be easier to replace without taking apart the whole dash

@@RaitisRides that’s great 😃
100% Camaro vibes from side and parts of the front angle view. The back tail light area reminds me of Hyundai Elantra with the sharp angles.
Decent for a heavy Murican car that you can daily drive. You have to up sell to the V8’s to move all that weight.
If I had to guess, the reason the seatbacks are manual because that’s the only way people in the back can get in and out. If it was electric and the power was cut after a crash, one would be trapped in the backseat.
An important aspect about the Ecoboost Mustang: you won't lose power at higher altitudes. .It should be quite powerful even at the altitude of the Eisenhower Tunnel west of Denver, CO.
This is such a good point!
Rented one of these on a LA trip. Best gas mileage I ever seen on a regular gas engine!!! I got 24mpg in the city, and over 30mpg on the highway. Decent handling. Cheap plastics. Tons of power for a 4 cylinder! Engine sounds like its straining tho. The screens are not user-friendly but cool. I would get the Coyote V8! However, in California I would consider the 4.
