Personally, as someone that graduated high school in 1992, Mustangs will always have a place in my heart. I don't know who the first person was that mated some OG Flowmaster 40 series to a 5 liter, but everyone owes that person a giant THANK YOU! Outside of some exotics, it is possibly the greatest sounding exhaust note of all time lol. Easily recognizable from literally a mile away! Awesome review Sarah!

Graduated in '94. I bought a '65 Mustang with a blown 170 cu inch straight six. I dropped an '80s 302 small block into it, and had some pipes bent for 2-chamber Flowmasters. Didn't go very fast with the stock 3-speed transmission and one-wheel-peel rear diff. But it sounded amazing rolling into high school.

I loved that era and I bought a mint low mile 1991 Thunderbird Supercoupe, fully loaded with a rare 5 speed in the year 1999 for like $5k. I actually wanted one of those just to be different from the Mustang guys but when they were new they weren't cheap and I couldn't afford it. I still miss that car even though it was just a 3.8L V6 but it had an Eaton M90 supercharger from the factory and with a few tweaks it gave you 350 torque which was more than a stock Mustang. But it NEVER sounded anything like a Foxbody and too heavy so it was slower than the Mustang too lol.
Inexcusable having sharp metal in a place that can cause cuts. Shows that Ford do not care about customers and penny pinch everywhere. I owned a Ford for 17 years in Australia and will never own another.
Really amazed (and pleased) to see a car like this in todays market. Seems that Ford really decided to go with the driver experience. As you say, end of an era. All these 'last' models are going to be so sought after in years to come.
I have a sneaking suspicion that those screens are going to look extremely dated within a year or 2 and they will make them more classic or better integrated on a new model.

One thing I love about coyote powered cars is they make power so easily. Super charging it with low boost on e85 will easily put you over 700whp. N/A route also makes easy power. Long tube headers, tune on e85 you’ll be above 500whp easy. And on top of it it’s reliable power!
By far the greatest 2024 Mustang review yet! I just got the same car except atlas blue and 10 speed. The new or revised shifting software in the 10 speed took away all the clunky mess and firm shifts of my 18 gt 10 speed. The car as a whole is much improved

Initially started watching your channel because of all the cool things you do, But I am truly being entertained in addition. That in the fact that we both live in Arizona.

It's basically just the Tech that stands out, and the induction sound from the dual throttle bodies.. which i'm sure you can find a way to swap onto an earlier Coyote.

Got this Mustang in this exact colour in England, obviously in RHD and chose manual, fantastic car, although BHP down a bit because of RHD conversion, still plenty quick enough and surprisingly economical on a run.
Sarah, from 15 and newer, the irs is a super 8.8. That rear is shared with trucks in live axle config. It has 34 spline axles instead of 31. The standard ratio of 3:15 has a carrier that won't except lower ratios. I bought a center section with a 3:55 for my current project. All of the 15 and newer units are posies. Nice review. :)

I am really amazed people are excited about some car pictures on the dash. This would have had "wow" factor 20 years ago. Now, given all the technology we have in our lives, it just seems worthless and w/o value. The interior looks strange with the gargantuan screens. I would much rather have the S550 interior with a more tasteful information screen. After seeing it a couple of times, what is seeing a picture of a mustang on the screen going to do for you?

You are absolutely right on the MT82. Lots of criticism but mostly from non owners. I have a 2013 Mustang 5.0 with the MT82 and it's the best manual in the GT by far. Still works like new and has taken everything I've thrown at it like a champ. I've had a couple GTs with the TR-3650 and they were both clunky and the '03 had the balky 1-2 shift.

I know a lot of people criticize Mustangs but I have had a couple and loved them. Would love one of these. Like the styling, the engine note is immense. What's not to love? If you cant keep it on the road thats your issue.

Our 5.0 13/14 GTCSs have turned out to be very reliable and lots of fun. If you get pure gas and drive it conservatively you can get consistently 24 MPG on the highway. Love the review. It is sure a fun car to drive and yes, you have to be careful with it so you are not the next Meme about mustangs on the web. My experience is don't do anything stupid until your tires warm up. Then you have the traction to have fun with it.

As an owner of a 2016 GT with the addition of the Ford Performance Pack 3 upgrade, it allowed the throttle response to be much quicker than stock and upped the HP to almost S650 level. I like it! I'm a bit wary of the magical robotic sprayed on cylinder liner...so glad mine doesn't have it.

I test drove a Dark Horse prior to getting my G82 M4C(though that was an huge ordeal in and of itself)and I was throughly impressed with the new Mustang. Quite a difference from a decade ago when I last test drove one. Ford has made huge improvements across the board especially the interior. It/they sound better than my M4 but it was not quite as quick. I will say I would be happy to own one if not for my BMW. Great review btw.
I have an S550 and I couldn't be happier. However, I totally understand the appeal of picking up one of the S650's. I would wait a few years so they can iron the tech out, though. Every time there's new tech, we don't find out the glitches until it's out for a while. Otherwise, I agree. G7 carries the Mustang banner very well. Finally, I love that this car seems to represent the middle finger to the EV's out there.
So for those trying to enjoy the last hurrah of the ICE and stick-shifts, would you suggest the Mustang's aural V8 thrills or the sportscar joys of a new 86? Not a hypothetical, as I'll actually be making this choice shortly. :)
It actually uses more robust parts than a standard 8.8 Its literally called the "Super 8.8" It has 34 spline axles and AFAIK the ring gear has more robust mounting to the carrier (but its still 8.8 inch diameter). This is probably one of the strongest IRS diffs u can buy And EVERY S550 stang had a limited slip diff, regular ones have a Ford Perfomance clutch type diff while the performance pack has a Torsen. FWIW I like the shift feel of the MT82

The Dodge Challenger is still the only American muscle car that still looks like a muscle car. The Mustang, Charger, Camaro and even the Corvette all look like sports cars now. This Mustang looks a little more muscle than the previous, but it's not quite there yet.

I don't hate the Corvette, but I'm disappointed that you can't get a manual transmission anymore. Also, I would have preferred it remain front-engine.

I can say that at 5"5", it wasn't too bad sitting in the back seats of a S650. Pretty cool car for sure

It's very area 51ish, which is arguably one of the best colors on sale today. But I think it fits SUVs/trucks more than it does on a sports car.
Bullitt green is not British Racing Green, it’s called Highland Green and it has a dark olive tone, British Racing Green has a dark teal tone.
Yes. BRG would be a great colour on these.

The Dodge Challenger is still the only American muscle car that still looks like a muscle car. The Mustang, Charger, Camaro and even the Corvette all look like sports cars now. This Mustang looks a little more muscle than the previous, but it's not quite there yet.
