Very nice and for a reasonable price even for small gigs musicians. I’ve tried budget ones and found them lacking but these sound amazing on my monitors. 👍👍👍
I bought it this weekend for a fashion show gig.. I love it in alot of ways. It's clean, it's got the tuner built in, sturdy etc BUT and this is a big ass but.... It's not reliable when it comes to signal drop out AT ALL. I had the receiver placed 5 meters from me and it still dropped out. Now how often does one perform in a shopping mall with thousands of cell phones, wifi and other disturbances? I also did a nightclub gig that same night with no issues at all but I will go for a system with diversity feature such as the Line 6 G10S (which still is pedalboard friendly AND can be powered from my pedalpower AND charges the transmitter in the receiver) I still think the Sennheiser is great but it only has one - built in - antenna and this might be an issue. For me it's a deal breaker and unfortunately I had to learn the hard way. Great video anyway!
Thanks for the heads up Gabriel. That’s not awesome. WiFi issues can probably only be avoided by having more frequencies that automatically swap when detecting disturbances. My Shure GLXD16 never let me down on stage, but then again, we‘re talking about a different price there. These Sennheisers are great for simple gigs, rehearsals and for practicing without being attached to a cable. For more serious jobs I’d stick to my Shure I think. Cheers!
@@KrisBarocsi So one works really well and the other doesn't. That 2.4GHz is also used by the cheap + or - 50 bucks gear (like the Getaria) and also very popular with routers and mobiles phones. Defeat from the jaws of victory I think. Better to use a system that is in the UHF range I think.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way I watch your channel often and love what you do get every time I see you paid promotion I always wonder if your people are really giving their honest opinion on gear I'm interested in a wireless system
Wow, I haven't seen these one's around. I really like the fact you can plug it in like a belt pack and attach to your strap. Using it the other way like a dongle just gets in the way of the trem bar. Very cool idea, take my money Mr Sennheiser 💰💰
Yeah it’s really good value for money. If you want something that is more professional you need to spend a lot more money (like on the Shure GLXD16). Cheers!
I like the idea of the pedal version with the tuner. I adore my Line6 wireless setup, so wouldn't be changing up now, but if I was looking for something, this would absolutely be near the top of my list. Thanks Kris.
Old Man Zen Yeah, the Pedal Board Set reminds me of a much more expensive wireless from a big competitor. It’s just way more affordable. 👏 The Line6 units sound surprisingly good too. If only the transmitters were more sturdy... 🤔
Kris they are amazing I bought a cheap set it was all middle and the highs rolled off Loads of interference I'm really impressed As for the playing ..well I think.i need to practice more ! Thanks Mr Barosci sir !
Paul Dugdale My first wireless was also terrible, I know what you mean. Haha! They got so much better luckily. This Sennheiser sounds really impressive and so easy to use. Thanks for watching Paul!

Hey Kris, If you compare the tuner of the pedalboard system.. is it fast tuner? Compared to a Boss TU-3? I like the size and the option of the tuner but i think that maybe a good old tuner like the boss or the Polytune could be much more faster in tuning and muting.. u know.. theres not much time on stage 😎
Could you use a wireless transmitter to the pedal board receiver at the beginning of the chain, and then a second transmitter from the last pedal on your board to another receiver plugged into your amp?
Hey Kris, great video as always - did/could you try it with Bass, as I heard some wireless systems have issues on low frequencies and only Line6 G90 would do the job?
Hey Kris, I am currently looking for a wireless system, how does this compare to the thomann t-bone pedal format GigA PRO pedal set? (if possible without taking into account that you work for thomann ;)). I can't find many tests of the thomann system and I wonder how it sounds vs a cable.
Chris Jeneson Thanks a lot Chris! Here in europe not at all. I’m not sure about the US and other parts of the world unfortunately. All continents tend to prefer different frequencies for wifi and I know that 2.4 GHz is a busy range in the states. Could still work well though. Sorry man, I’m just guessing. 🤷♂️
@@KrisBarocsi Hey Kris, thanks for the reply! I bought these HB units so that I could do away with the rat´s nest of cables around my desk and amps, just unplug from one guitar into the next. I am in Spain by the way. The HB cheap units work well, they do the job but, as I say, they knock out my WiFi and that is unacceptable. I do not know if it is only the HB wireless that does this as I have no others to try, also, the broadband here in Spain is crap!
Chris Jeneson hmm. That’s weird. I have three different wireless units here, all three working in the 2.4GHz range (Sennheiser XSWD Instrument set, XSWD Pedalboard Set and a Shure GLXD16) and none of them mess with my wifi, nor with cellular data. I don’t own the Harley so I can’t tell if there’s a difference.
Hi! I bought this sennheiser and the sound is really good, I have a jazz bass (2005) and precision (2010) american standard with original pickups, when I connect the transmitter to the bass it generates an annoying hum and the transmitter is even closer to the pickups , even with the extension cable bringing it to 15 cm squares of the pick up, I changed 2 units and the problem is the same, can it be that all 2 are defective? or it could be a shielding problem, I also have Line 6 relay g30 for 5 years and no rustle problem in more than 300 gigs, thanks for the answers, Mario.
Can this be used for the pedal board out to the input of amp? I have the sennheiser ew wireless for instrument. If this would work for the amp I can go completely cable less.
I’m pretty sure it works. I would use this between the guitar and the board though and the ew instrument between the board and the amp. This one has a really good tuner and mute knob. That’s very useful at the beginning of your pedalboard. Cheers!
@@KrisBarocsi That's very encouraging. My only experience of wireless is a set of JOYO JW-01 which were so cheap in a sale I couldn't resist trying them. That was a mistake. But at least we are getting closer to a cableless future, so the next generation of musicians will no longer have to suffer the spaghetti tangle nuisance we've all put up with for decades..
I bought it yesterday and.......I m very disappointed. The hiss issue is present enough that I m thinking to return it back. Boss was far better. All my basses are active...I don't know if that is the reason.
I know that what I fixing to say has nothing to do with this Video, but this is the only way I have to contact You. A little while back You posted a great Video showing Your Beautiful Harley Benton Silver Sparkle Fusion Guitar. I asked You if it had an actual Maple Top because Thomann's USA Website says the Roasted Maple Bengal Burst has a Maple Top with an Ultra Flame Maple Veneer. You said all Fusions have a Veneer Top. I had Emailed Thomann's about this also. A man Named Benedikt Schlereth replied to my Email and said it has a Maple Top with an Ultra Flame Veneer. I'm Speaking of Speaking specifically of the Roasted Maple Bengal Burst Fusion because that's the only one I asked Thomann about. I didn't read the Description of every single Fusion Guitar but I know there's at least one more of the Roasted Maple Neck Fusions that have the same description on the Thomann USA Website. I'm thinking maybe the Roasted Maple Neck Fusions have the Maple Top and the Plain Maple Neck Fusions have the Veneer Tops because I've read the description of several Plain Necks and they all say Veneer Top whereas the Roasted Necks (at least the ones I've read) Say Maple Top with an Ultra Flame Veneer. I hate to keep asking You about this but I'm trying to find out which is Correct because My Nephew is wanting to purchase one and I'm trying to find out for Him because He works all the time. Plus I'm the one who works on His Guitars. Thanks for anything You can tell as to which is Correct. I wish Thomann had a store in Raleigh North Carolina. Raleigh is the State Capitol and I live in Coats NC about 30 miles South. God Bless You and Your Family. Much Love to Y'all. Jimmy in NC....
