I definitely needed to hear the FOD patrol 😭 my 8 and 9 year old just walk over whatever is on the floor 😒 I always have to ask them to pick it up.
FOD patrol to the rescue. LOL. It can be a game to see who can pick up and put away the largest number of items.

I would add two things:
- we learned to always wash our hands with soap and water right before sitting down to eat. Comes in very handy now ...
- never go to sleep or anywhere else in anger. Always say "good night" or "see you". You can be angry again in the morning or when you meet again and you may continue a discussion then - but never depart in anger to sleep or anywhere else.
As children we were not told it's because awful things can happen and the last remembered word was spoken in anger. I know that now.
Just tell children every one will sleep and feel better.
And their anger is not forgotten it's just postponed and they will be listened to. (And keep that promise.)

Don’t pass it up, pick it up :) my 1 year old can find EVERY little thing that doesn’t belong because I enjoy cleaning so much. She has a child broom stand and definitely is a daddy’s girl.

Such a cute video Angela! I did chores when I was younger. I was paid though. I got $5 a week when I was in elementary, then $10 a week when I was in junior high, and then $20 a week when I was in high school until I got a real job. Lol
