Great video thanks, you drive the DAF XF I will be driving the new DAF XF being released on 9th June in IRL like you I use to be a HGV driver for many years but it came to an end when I suffered a stroke, now all I can now is drive on a truck simulator my friend built for me to use on Euro Truck simulator 2, not the same but close, I even get to fall asleep at the wheel with no harm done, please keep making great videos thanks.
Another brilliant vlog Luke. Thoroughly enjoyed. Pretty tiring working on a flat bed with all those straps and nets. Suppose that is the advantage of a curtain sider. Great video and thanks. Stay safe and take care.
That was a beast of a Hyster truck! Makes the one I drove at EMR look like a Dinky toy! D4Drivers is the company I used for my medical, theory test done and hazard perception just got Mod 2 and 4 plus practical training and test to get through for class 2😊 see you at Devon Truck Show
Passed my class 1 yesterday first time only had 14 hours training, passed it with 5 minors and 1 of them was on the reverse as I had to shunt lol. Now onto the big boys.
Hi Luke! I spent many years driving over the road in the USA. The last few years before I retired I switched to local. All of the local work was in containers. I had one of those containers dropped by the Hyster and it landed partially off the chassis. It gave my tractor quite a jostle and scared the crap out of me.
Right near my yard! Yes it does look tighter then it is in there. Great video. Been watching from your 8 wheeler days, and you got me into the industry. Keep up the good work.
Hi Luke. Love the vlogs. And nice to see you visited my home town of Felixstowe. I work on the Port @ 86park for an empty container storage depot, similar to some parts of Pentalver. Drive safe. 👍
Hello luke love your vids, your an inspiration for new drivers, and for kids to watch, iam also a hgv class 1 driver ill keep my eye open for you,,, and again great work, your professionalism shows in your vids.
+6 degrees isn't cold, sir. I used to grit the roads of Edinburgh. Some nights out in winter storms -12 to-16 degrees. Before parking up, use a huge cold water hose to get the motor and especially the back end spotless of the remaining salt. I'll never forget that job.
Mr C. Have to say your videos are getting better and better. Great editing, great tunes.... with the sponsors and various other bits its all looking rather professional. Coming together nicely for your future plans. As for the extra 15 minutes in the lay by, we all know you had a sausage fest for the additional time..... :-) Have a great week.
Thank you Luke another great video Enjoyed and interesting. Do like your LED lights. Be nice to see them when it dark. Thanks again. Take care and Stay safe and safe Trucking.
Hi mate good videos just subscribed. Felixstowe is an absolute nightmare!! I’ve been many of times and I must say I don’t miss the place. London gate way is the best place for me as it’s all robot controlled 👍👍
Hi Luke i hope you and your wonderful lady partner and two daughters are all well and safe , and i hope both of your family,s are all well and safe has well . another great video with great views has well keep up with the great work that you do and keep them great videos coming has well my friend, i cant wait till you bright out two videos a week i know i will be watching them all i love watching your videos when they come out , drive carefully and stay safe luke my friend.
Luke if you took the 3rd exit then 2nd exit at the next roundabout when leaving the yard you could of gone down to army and navy roundabout then to the A12 that way
Another spot on vlog as per mate, very easy collection of the container, in and out in no time at all ;-) Added bonus of an early finish on a Friday aswell, can't complain :-)
Hi Luke, just subscribed to your channel 😀 I know nothing about hgv vehicles 😅 but I find your videos very entertaining thank you. Just a quick question if you don't mind? Are all the hgv vehicles automatic? Just seems like I never see you change gear 🤣
Just looking for your opinion. Few years back on the motorway driving behind a low loader and giant massive chains came off the low loader and onto the motorway right infront of me. What would the pentanlty be if this hit my car?
Insecure load, and insurance claim. There won’t be any penalty points awarded to any licenses but I should imagine there would be a fine or two. Plus Maybe made to pay damages to your vehicle
Driver supply at an all time high? Is that why businesses are crying out for drivers and paying bonus rates through the roof (if you know where to look).
We worded it wrong mate , should be driver demand at an all time high , our mistake but it will be fixed. Were not perfect by any means but trying to help drivers out and get the message out to every driver that now is the time to take control and get rid of agencies.
the advert is a total lie. The supply is at an all time low and companies are desperate for drivers. Although you wouldn't think it because most companies still treat drivers like shit.
@@samhay4665 We stay away from traditional agencies Sam and that's why we have the big contracts coming to us. We pay the driver more because any rate the haulier sets goes into the drivers pocket( We take no cut). The app also gives you the freedom and control to chose your work instead of an agency dictating where you work. So with us the driver decides where they work at higher rates. By no means are we perfect but we are on the drivers side and working to get drivers better conditions.

Do you think Glastonbury festival is actually in Glastonbury? No it’s 6 miles away in a little village called Pilton I think you might be getting my point here…
Hi Luke, could you at sometime show your punters the layout for the cameras, alexa, etc across the front of your cab as I wish to set up the front of my motorhome in a similar way. Thanks
Stopped watching after 2.17 mins, thought I was watching an advert for D4drivers, may as well get the truckers handbook and stick in the camera as well. used to like the content but all about money now.
Big up Luke - Keeping us all entertained
yes thank you luke and congratations on your wedding byee from norwich

I’ve driven past that builders yard on the roundabout many a time and always wondered about it, looks a lot bigger once you get in there!
Hi Luke. I do container work out of Immingham dock. That big old machine's called a toplift.
I’ll be at Malvern Truckfest this year
Been with my dad for years
Hi Luke great video a little bit different mate keep up the good work and stay safe. 😷
I like where the camera was for the first pit of footage
Loving the forward view camera, but the constant flicking between the two cameras started to give me a headache.
What's the alarm sound, say at somewhere around 12:00. Some DAF specialty but what does it mean? Thanks!
That lay-by is usually fairly quiet compared to others around in the area.
Enjoyed the vlog chap..top man
Tell Avail to change the Comic Sans font pls haha, great video as always!
We will sort that out mate ! You're spot on and it will be sorted in the next video!
Luke, get yourself one of those seat belt covers like Jenko mate, bussies cant seem to tell these days if you are wearing your belt. #thumbsup👍

Nice one Luke

Why does the Avail AD say "with Driver supply at an all time high" when it's at an all time low? ((: weird.
They also say they want to get rid of agencies when they are an agency!
the advert is a total lie. The supply is at an all time low and companies are desperate for drivers.
Although you wouldn't think it because most companies still treat drivers like shit.
Our mistake guys, Its meant to be driver demand at an all time high but it will be sorted for the next video. We know we aren't perfect
