Quality video showing what lorry drivers get faced with and how to deal with tricky situations and tricky maneuvers. Good video
I'm a truck driver from the US and I'm glad to see that we share common problems. Absolutely no cars on that narrow road and the FIRST one you see is parked exactly where you need to turn. LOL!
well done great driving
massive repsect to you
Really enjoyed that trip Luke. It never ceases to amaze me how poor the facilities are for overnighting in this country.
They really are proper crap in this country .
@@carlharris2808 One day someone might reinvent a transport system that runs on rails to major depots from which dozens of small lorries transport the goods to their local destinations 🙂
I love your videos! They've actually inspired me to become a truck driver...
Good that you made it into 2 vlogs for us rather than cutting out footage and showing the struggle is real and how easy the truck can get stuck 🙂👍
Loved your video mate for us truckers going to places which can be tight, I’ve started new job last week with Farmfoods there are few stores can be tight and challenging but good for experience as well, your last drop to the farm was challenging for you and you’ve done brilliant job, keep on trucking
What a brilliant heart in mouth vid! You were so lucky the white car owner was close by; they could of been out on a 20 mile ramble! LOL!
Your patience with stupid and or ignorant people is commendable my good sir, that's all I'm gonna say after watching quite a few of your videos now, you deserve a sub on that alone!
Absolutely fine driving and careful of others, Luke you are the epitome of a courteous driver, and a good vid producer too.
The joys of everyday trucking, these kind of video's let car drivers see from a truckers point of view the shit they have to deal with on a daily basis, some of the places they get sent into is a piss take space wise, well done mucka, nice safe and confident driving ! A big shout out to all our truck drivers out there, stay safe guys
Hi Luke Paul from Kent again love the channel your driving skills are very impressive especially down the narrow farm lane keep up the great work Paul
Excellent trip riding shotgun with you Luke, brilliant series of videos, all them miles and you still manage to churn quality videos out all credit to you.
Enjoyed your trip Luke 👍 could feel your pain 😉 have been down very simular narrow roads with an artic in Devon lol.... edge of your seat waiting for a truck to turn up and make your day!!
2 great video cheers bud
Brilliant video Luke. That guy parked on the corner appeared to be in no rush to move it. Thought he was then gonna drive down your left side🙄. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Fantastic mini stream Luke C😆 Enjoyed every minute, keep them wheels spinning 👍
What a umberleaveable guy you are awesome.thanks for letting philip follow you to Scotland and back what a trip you just don't need that snow and ice.i will be glad for you when the summer arrives take care buddy and enjoy life phil.
All 3 videos watched back to back, great insight into the life of "tramping" in the U.K 10/10 Luke, keep um coming!
Seeing you as a reflection in the windscreen is a cool effect
One thing I'd like to see is, when you're reversing, is an above shot of your truck so that I can see how you shape the truck to get around corners or into gateways.
Really enjoyed the tightness of the place in Wales, it was cool to see you handle a somewhat tricky situation.
Great video Luke and awesome driving! Good insight and scenery. And nice to see you in my home town in West Wales and then saying you are travelling to where I now live in Tonbridge!
I wonder what Scott Andrews would say about those roads…..”normal” for him!
Great 2 part video Luke, might be worth carrying a couple of bags of rock salt around with you for when you get stuck. 😂😂
Winter tires would do😃 Having 3peaks on ecotires and beliving them for winter is fooling yourself.
Great video Luke. Good skills.
Great video, Luke..... To the part of 7.26 I like that affect of seeing you in the window at night that's a great idea 💡
enjoyed both videos, I live in AOTEAROA new zealand with my brain injured son so we are shut in and house bound, feel like I have been on a wee holiday, was fun. thank you.
Lucky Luke 👌 bet ye panicked a little bit there, that farm was a bit tight getting in 😬, Nice 1 Luke 👏💪💯
Got sent right down that road further than that turning in a 6 wheeler horrible reverse back up the lane turned out it wasn't the right address 😂, fair play getting down in a artic 👍, every road in Pembrokeshire is like this 😂😂
Love vlogs Luke, a little tip. I always carry a bag of grit on my lorry in the winter, you won't believe how many times it has got me out of the shit.
You certainly earn your money Luke!
Nice one Luke. Great video again. Keep up the good work 😀
Hi Luke, I love your videos. Keep up the good work, i used to live in houghton, where the van stopped for you, but i moved 2 years ago to Northern Ireland.
During the winter months I always carried a couple bags of cat litter just for moments like you had. Loved the videos 👍
Great video again luke long journey for you did good luke stay safe mate keep trucking
Great content mate you and trucker tim are defo my favourite
Bloody hell Luke bit of a nightmare that one. Massacre as Iwona would say. Really enjoyed it though, being an ex lorry driver felt for you on those dodgy roads. Stay safe. Live near Tonbridge hope that’s the next video. All the best. Mick
hey, thats my local ASDA 😂😂 Glad you got turned around OK, and safely to your drop point
Love the content . Warts and all .
Thanks pal
Another great vlog Luke that drive was epic … keep up the great vlogs Luke 👍🏻
Congratulations Luke. There was more than your fair share of difficulties!
Thank you Luke One great video. The look on your face when you said we made it well worth watching and recording But please don’t do a video like this one sitting on the edge of sit till you said We made it. But Thanks again did enjoyed it not as much as doing it. Take care and stay safe and safe Trucking.
Nice one Luke, thanks 👍👍
Nice one Luke you got in and out of Pembrokeshire unscathed great video as always
We had a lot of I've and sleet here. Absolutely sucked. Drove 300 miles and it took close to 10 hours. Most amusing was getting stuck trying to get to the track parking behind a McDonald's. Had to get the police to block traffic to get out. I feel your pain.
Brilliant vlog Luke.
25:21 they should supply you a bag of road salt for those cold conditions would have help or not to melt the ice around your wheels
Nice memories for me as I lived in Burton the next village to Houghton for 7 years and all the rural roads around there are tight. Found it ironic you taking potatoes to pembrokeshire as the region was famous for the produce. I guess your collection was at Princess gate bottled water plant. Nice bit of travelling over the two videos , thanks for sharing.
Bottled water was about the worst load I ever carried, 26T of pallets, all in 500ml bottles. The problem is, they all move & react as one. Come to a bend, or worse a roundabout and they all lean right, as you turn left right as you try to turn left, they lean to the right. Try to slow down and you feel the massive load shove, as the entire contents attempt to carry on at the same speed, accelerate, & the load pulls you back. You can feel the entire trailer trying to resist your attempts to do anything. It must be like having a large liquid tank on the back, without any baffles.
For 5 years I drove goods for a drinks wholesaler from Bedford to Norwich every night, but never had the same problems. 25-26 tons when full, but barrels of beer, bottles of wine & spirits and beer, pallets of cans, & whatever. he point was, they all behaved differently, according to their size & amount of space they had available, not as a unified body.
Great video. That's some mileage from Peterhead all the way south in that weather.
Really enjoyable vlog Luke .
I only ever knew 1 driver who had jacknifed his artic and that was on a dry road, the old man of the firm wanted to fire him but the gaffer overuled him and so he was given another chance. Everyone to this day wished the old man had had his way because a few months later whilst taking a load of tin plate down the A34 in Oxfordshire to AC delco in Southampton he swerved to miss an army truck coming out of a lay by and went from the first lane through the crash barrier taking 2 cars alongside him then straight across the opposite carriageway taking another 2 cars and finishing up in a field.
The horrific crash killed 2 and made 2 others into vegetables unable to live without 24 hours care.
Last I heard he was driving a small van as a self employed courier.
Thank yourself lucky me boy.
Love ur vids keep up the inspiring and amazing work 🤩
About time you got yourself some chains.
Awesome video as always mate. Really enjoy the long distance journey videos!
Love the fact you haven’t got a clue where you are without the sat nav. Falkirk is before Edinburgh 😂
I bet your heart was racing ! i was doing a removal in a class 2 fully loaded ,we were on a slippery road near a grass verge and got stuck ..started to slide but my mate switched the diff lock on and got us out of trouble . I was impressed for sure ... and some say drivers just drive !
Get a bag of grit and keep it in your truck. Then when you get stuck, put some of the grit under the tyres and it’ll help you get out
7:26 "Use the Force, Luke!"
Great to see you on a much longer journey. Do you enjoy these long jaunts across the country, or do you prefer the shorter journeys?
If I was you Luke I would buy a couple of those big bags of grit just in case you come across frozen roads again at least then you know you can get out of the sticky situation etc
Hi m8,great 2 vids pretty decent driving aswell ,really enjoyed watching.
When I saw the bridge I knew what area you were in. I took a bus ride from Milford Haven railway station to Pembroke Dock railway station. It went via the back roads. It was only a small 30 seater. Sunken lanes hedgerows hitting both sides very step hills. The bus from the other way had to wait for us to clear one section. Must be a nightmare harvest time.
Great video luke
After watching your Videos I don't think truck drivers get paid enough! What a difficult job
The editing but where you can see the road and see you i excellent but you should adjust it so your face is shown smaller in one of the top corners as watching the road is hard with a distraction in the way👍
GREAT VIDEO BUD👍👍ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING WATCH ESPECIALLY AGAINST TIGHT LANES AND CRAP WEATHER 👍👍NICE ONE BUD 👍👍
Great video luke 👍
The fact you got stuck one after another is crazy. Good luck with not getting stuck again.
Looks like you broke that TV in the cab, check connections, maybe it would be a good idea to carry a can or two of de icer or some table salt, to get you out of holes like that
Great vlog Luke 😊
Fantastic vlogs Luke,take care :p
a tip for you luke carry a bag of rock salt with you i used to put mine in my side locker in 2 bags then you will get out [s try doing international like pick up north of inverness and take that to southern italy thats a long drive but i use brittany ferries from portsmouth to st malo france as you get a 12 hr break on that ferry
Nice to see you having a break in Abergavenny side of the railway line👍
A very good Saturday evening luke from Alan in Lowestoft buddy
@LukeCinaHGV1 what is that luke
Love your videos cant wait for my weekly luke c in a hgv fix
would it not be handy to carry a bucket of grit/salt with you so if your stuck or parking on ice you can pre grit your own tyres and area
I enjoy it very much - thanks.
Hello again Luke. Great video. Regarding your little test in the dark. Personally, with the little poppies, and their reflections, and the cameras at the top in the middle, its a little too much. Looking forward to the road, its like travelling down a tunnel. Sorry, but doesn't work for me. When you got to the farm, and looking to go straight on down the track next to the farm buildings, I would not have even thought of going down there, seeing the large puddles. I was looking at a potential sticking in the mud🤣🤣🤣. I will tell you this Luke, you have done some neat driving. When you mentioned your truck changing gears at odd times. I'm not really surprised. The poor thing has done nothing but skidding. On ice in Scotland, on ice in Preston, down really, really narrow lanes, going up hills. I think the poor truck needs a holiday. Hey, you were correct, take the spuds to France🤣🤣🤣🤣. Looking at the farm buildings, I'm wondering how they were built, getting the stuff to that place with metal sheeting, etc. Good job you didn't come face-to-face with a cyclist. You have to give them 4ft+ according to the Highway Code🤣🤣🤣
A very good Sunday evening to you all
So glad we don't have to deal with this crap in Australia.
That effect is known as a peppers ghost, cool!
Love the vids Luke business keep the good work and you have made me want to be a lorry driver and now that is my dream job so thank you by the way I’m 12
Love the ghost view !!!!
If you watched Trucker Jay's videos, you'd see why he recommends carrying a bag of sand in icy weather.
That new effect was pretty sick keep that 🔥
Again the Welsh farm the use of what3words would have sorted out all uncertainties. I can't understand why all parties are not using it to it's full extent 🤷🏻♂️
I would of happily watched this as one video! Engaging as always
Another great video Luke
Another great video.
that lighting works well
nice video luke
big hello luke have a great next wk thank you byee from norwich
42:00 And now you know why we use tandem drive in Sweden.
Heads up. There's more parking at Route 74 opposite the main entrance to the right. About 30 yards up...
Looks like you need some new drive axle tyres with some decent treed on them Luke 👍🏻
At 10:44 those driving lights, if low beam, say to your serviceman to fix them and oncoming traffic will thank you. sorry for bad english
I nearly forgot about the time I nearly jacknifed with a short empty flat trailer which nearly pushed me into the back of the company boss who was driving his car in front of me. It was a wet road going downhill and I'd only just started with the company and being new to the industry. I'd connected up earlier but was unsure as to whether I'd connected the susies correctly. In those days the quick release valves on the susies used to leak so when they were u connected the fitters would fit air taps on them and unfortunately some fitters didn't know which way was correct so a tap handle may be turned in line with the airflow to be on and in other trucks it'd be the opposite. Nowadays of course these taps are illegal. The result was that I'd inadvertently turned the susie taps off on the service line and as I was following the boss down the road trying to stop I applied the brakes but the trailer pushed the tractor unit out of line and started a skid. This was unexpected and I realised that I had to bring it under control pretty quick unless I careared into the bosses car.
The remedy of course in such a situation is to stop braking and steer the rig a few feet then reaply the brakes which miraculously worked. I never trusted the taps on the susies again but it also taught me how to stop a vehicle which was out of control, an experience that I ended up using many times in emergencies in the future. I've had brakes failure in every type of vehicle on the road and I can only assume that my experience over the incorrectly fitted air taps saved many people from what could easily have been some nasty incidents.
Take care because lady luck should never be taken for granted.
I'm may soon be made redundant from my WFH IT job. Always fancied truck driving but I have a dog and nobody else to look after him. Would this be a barrier or are there many employers who allow drivers to take their dog with them?
Your videos are great keep it up 👍
nice driving luke just couldn't understand why take potatoes from one farm to another and not to a distribution centre
Stop asking Siri question u set my homepod off every time 😂😂😂😂😂
I've actually emailed him and commented on exactly the same thing! Keeps setting my phone off calling people haha
@@simon091068 last week was the best one when he asked Siri to set alarm then at half 2 my home pod went off lol
@@ballsy_84 Worse one for me was when I was watching at 2 am and he asked Siri to call someone. I have two phones and both started calling people. Talk about a mad scramble to not wake someone up! I've now learned to hide my phones in a drawer when I watch Luke's videos.
