Chat/Comment Guidelines:

The Rules:
1: The timer starts when walking away from Professor Elm after receiving the starter Pokémon.
2: Only the Challenge Pokémon may participate in battle.
3: No items in battle, except Balls from the bag.
4: No evasion-increasing TMs, and no Rest and Sleep Talk TMs until every other option has been exhausted.
5: No intentional uses of glitches or exploits, except the Teleport glitch after the SS Aqua.
6: No Rare Candies until facing Red. Rare Candies will be used in a 3-3-4 pattern.
7: Timer may be paused for breaks in recording, but no inputs may be made when the timer is paused.
8: Save states are permitted in the overworld, but no save states may be used mid-battle.
9: If the challenge Pokémon faints, the previous save state must be reloaded and progress regained.

I feel your pain. I've got very few of my "elder" family members left. I haven't lost anyone recently but I've been to more funerals than i can remember. Both of my parents, all of my grandparents, and the vast majority of my aunts and uncles (and I'm only 36). Not counting the friends that have gone, for one reason or another. So, I don't know you but I understand the pain and heartache you're going through. You're not alone. I'm glad you took the time you needed to process things and I hope you're in a better place now. Even though i know it'll never be the same now that they're gone. Much love and support from the U.S.
He's back! SUCH a nice surprise to see a new video. We all missed you dearly. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss - I really hope you're doing what you need to take care of yourself. Obviously everyone handles grief and loss differently, but I've certainly been in a similar spot. I lost one of my best friends during the height of the Pandemic (I found out while I was playing Pokemon Go, actually). Playing any kind of video game was so hard for a while, because as you said, when you're deep in a session, your mind wanders quite a bit. Something that helped my healing process was adjusting the way I thought about my relationship with my friend. Though he was gone, it didn't mean that our relationship was too - it just lives on through memories, reminiscing with mutual friends, and celebrating his life every year. Every loss is different and everyone works through loss differently, but I hope you know that you're not alone!

The best way to work through grief is to talk about it, and if I've helped just one person feel like they're not alone in struggling, then I can hold my head up high.

Glad to see you back. I think having a full list is interesting because it's lets you see the comparative strength of the pokemon, including those times when a first form can beat out something fully evolved. But you do whatever works for you

Welcome back! I'm glad you took the time for yourself to understand your grief, it's different for everyone but never easy.
Primeape is one of my favourite fighting types! I had Pokemon Blue growing up so I never got to use it in the Kanto story until I got Leaf Green. You had me at the edge of my seat beating Nidoking's time, what a close one!
Sorry for losses brother. I’m sure they will stay with you forever, speaking as someone who has also lost people. Always tell your friends and family you love them! Glad you’re back, missed your videos and onwards and upwards for the year!

Grief is such a quirky thing in our lives. I have deep sympathy for what you have been going through. It is in those quiet moments when the ongoings of life no longer distract us and the pain can crash right back over us. I do hope that in time those moments will become more sweet than bitter, where the memories that arise keep your loved ones present in your thoughts, and remind you they are still a part of us, always.

I've recently lost someone myself, and I fully understand how you feel. I fortunately/unfortunately got sick almost immediately after, and I had a solid few days stuck in bed alone with my thoughts to really process everything. I'm glad you're doing better. It takes a lot to be transparent like that.

I get ya. I had two people very close to me pass away last year. Sometimes, the thoughts just come onto you, and you can't shake them, can't shake the grief. I'm sorry for your losses, Squidgy.
I always get a little scared when speaking english, but it's worth it. Grief is necessary, also painful, I'm glad you decided to understand it rather then ignore it. When I lost someone very important to me I didn't really understand grief, and to learn about it was rather intense. What I mean to say is to mourn someone's death is to understand yourself and what you feel so you can heal, maybe never fully, but to look at a scar and remember how that person impacted your life
Now, on a less serious note, I would like a different podium for the not fully evolved mons, since they are kind of destined to be super low

Man I missed your videos so much ! I subscribed like 4 or 5 months ago and I watched all your videos while redacting my PhD manuscript and preparing my defense, it really helped turning my brain off for a moment.
Then you stopped posting and I was worried so I checked your channel info to see if you had a SM link or something and when I checked your Twitter I saw the news. I’m truly sorry that you had to deal with a lot of losses in such a short period of time…

Hp ghost is so on flavor with primeape. Annihilape is my favorite gen 9 mon.
Ghost/Fighting is such a powerful combination - I've been working on an Annihilape backport for an upcoming stream, but the Rage Fist evolution method is proving to be a little difficult to code in.
Once it's all working, though, I reckon we're gonna see one of our fastest ever run times!

Its great to see you again Squidgy. In regards to different leaderboards, I think it would be neat to have a Little Cup group (first stage pokemon) and possibly an Egg Moves leaderboard, to see how different pokemon perform when they are given a better start. Then you would have the Master Leaderboard with all pokemon (minus Egg moves).
What you've described is exactly how the leaderboard program functions at the moment - we've got the giant leaderboard (which isn't shown on videos, but is sometimes shown off on stream), and then we have different smaller categories for all of the different run types!
It shouldn't be too hard to add a Little Cup category to split the first stages off!

On the subject of loss, I do feel you there. Now that I'm 30, I have lived through a lot of deaths. My manager who I was close to died 5 years ago, my grandmother died, and then my father passed away too about 2 years ago.

Hey man, good to see you back. Sorry about your losses. I lost my father in December, had my first child (son) born in January and my mother passed away 2 days later. I had the same issue with free time and my thoughts, I hated having days off because I couldn't shut my mind off about everything that happened so quickly. I know it's hard but it does get easier, although it's always going to hurt. Try to remember the happy memories with them and remember that they wouldn't want to see you depressed and hurting. Stay strong 🙂
I couldn't comprehend losing both parents within the space of a few weeks, and having so much joy in the middle of both horrific events.
I hope you and your family are doing as best you can in the circumstances.
