For those who haven't heard it, Billy Corgan's version of "Landslide" is really good too -- just Billy, his acoustic guitar, the sound of recording tape running thru a 4-track unit and ambient traffic noise coming thru a window left open in his room, and it was originally released on the Smashing Pumpkins' b-sides, covers and outtakes album "Pisces Iscariot" (came out between "Siamese Dream" and "Meloncollie..."). For the longest time, that track had been my all-time favorite Pumpkins' song -- 'til their single originally released on the Lost Highway soundtrack, "Eye", that is.
Better than the orig... What? His voice and guitar are better lol. More clear and since it's one guy controlling both the playing and singing the two forms of music combine more consistently. Plus it's John... Dude is music incarnate.
