I think no matter who you are or what ever music you’re into your instantly drilled into johns presence and the way he distributes he’s style of playing music. He created that style of playing. Just like Hendrix created he’s own style back in the day. They make it look easy aswel. Like they were only born to do that. 😇
@@barrypinney6723true! John really has that quality. I enjoy listening to anyone that gets lost in their playing, and it’s just them and guitar. You know who does that to me as well has always been Kurt Cobain. Listen to all of his acoustic work, especially since they put out they put it those “Montage of Heck: Home Recordings” where it’s just him playing, but for me ALL those old acoustic recordings have that same effect that your talking about. The long version of “Old Age” is probably my all time favorite. In a different way, Jim Morrison does for me as well from a lyrical standpoint in that spoken word album, of which, interestingly enough from my understanding the music was added posthumously.
Everytime I see this version it reminds me of my past. A newly sober person trying to re-adapt to the world and still not comfortable with anything. I’m so proud of him. I don’t know who was looking out for you up there but they saved thousands by saving you. God bless you John Frusciante
Vicky Jost yes, you can notice is at the way he feels the music while playing it. Thanks to his music I encourage myself to teach myself how to play the guitar, and thanks to him I have found my favourite hobby. So if you know him tell him that Thank a Lot, from Tijuana, BC Mexico.✌🏽
thats why i love john, he makes songs and does solo's/chord progressions'/riffs that aren't difficult and flashy (though he could) he just does whats best for the song. i've seen him show what he can do and its mind blowing.
this is how i kno hes my favourite.. im on my 6th day of heroin withdrawal and i feel like shit... and his music fills my soul and helps me//// god bless frusciante and god bless all the spirits playing through him
Crazy to think this was 19 year's ago today I will never forget this came home early from high school on this shitty day ! And this forever changed my Life.
I watch this every Valentine's Day. This is kind of a big deal that Much Music, the biggest pop music station in Canada at the time, let him promote his album and do a live set.
I feel so happy for John right now, back everything he does 100% and I feel he is really beginning to come into his own as a solo artist now, he will clearly go down as one of the great minds along with Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Beethoven, Da Vinci...the list is endless.
On the studio version there's a sound effect near the end that sounds like a space shift about to take flight. It gives me goosebumps. Live version is amazing. That whole album is amazing!
I agree…rhcp is more surface mainstream level, radio friendly…but his solo works actually make you think about life ..btw how’s the guitar playin going again?

wasn't so sure about frusciante's voice when i first heard his solo stuff, but now i really love it, hes kinda got that deep singin voice which is unorthodox, yet he can go really high pitched.
Emre Tamer personally i appreciate him much more outside of rhcp, not saying that I prefer josh in replacement to him, but the music he makes outside of rhcp is so amazing and i think he's doing what he loves whereas he wasnt happy in rhcp ygm
yo,yeah dude, john is the man,the album this tune is on to record only water for ten days is sheer genuis!!hes got such a unique sound,he can play any style with ease, superb!funky monk!

for me, when he plays his $10 guitar and screams sooths my soul more than when he is recorded with the chili peppers and make seemless and perfect. dont get me wrong his work with the chili peppers is spell bounding, but there is nothing i would give to see him live, warts and all. what a musical genious...
John Frusciante in one of his interviews: "Sometimes I find playing guitar easier than just talking to somebody" true legend
he said it about a fucking jimmi hendrix's solo

Brilliant insight into what I've always felt about Frusciante, but I've never been able to put into words
And God bless you ❤️
Newly clean myself, trying to dedicate myself exclusively to music & other worthwhile pursuits...
Damn, this man went through years of addiction, closed in himself, isolated to reborn into something this pure… Thank you John, from all of us!
He's a real artist! he's pure! He's not doing it for money but for music's sake!
Vicky Jost It's not hard to just focus on music when you have lots of money though.
Patrick O'Neill John really loves music u can trust me!!! I know him well!

I'll tell him when I'll see him.
when he began he had nothing and he was already a master of guitar so your theory...
wow, I think I enjoyed that even more than the album version. stunning!
ik same the guitar is so perfect and his voice
Yh same
What a privilege sharing this time of existence with this being.

Such clear sentiment, such ambience. One man, one guitar. Brilliant!

This is definitely the purest live show I've ever seen.

That’s awesome
John anthony frusciante.. my favorite human.. i wish i could see him.. just once.. for a second.. before he die or maybe before i die..
Im gonna see him next year in mad cool festival in madrid with the red hot. After that i can die in peace

Fucking amazing
This is godly music there is no music like this
Frusciante's best song, the studio version has everything that I love with the music he makes.
I feel so happy for John right now, back everything he does 100% and I feel he is really beginning to come into his own as a solo artist now, he will clearly go down as one of the great minds along with Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Beethoven, Da Vinci...the list is endless.
The best guitarist of his genre... Not a monster of technique... But his creativity... Is unique...
Gênio, gênio e gênio. A essência do que um músico precisa ser se resume nesse cara.

That album is perfection.
It's a great album, I find this song in particular really powerful
I'd give anything to listen to his solo stuff live..
Just learned how to play this song. Super fun to play along to!
This song made me pick up guitar again. I love that his solo work is his best
I agree…rhcp is more surface mainstream level, radio friendly…but his solo works actually make you think about life ..btw how’s the guitar playin going again?
You don't throw your life away
Going inside
You get to know who's watching you
And who besides you resides
In your body
Where you're slow
Where you go doesn't matter
Cuz there will come a time
When time goes out the window
And you'll learn to drive out of focus
I'm you and if anything unfolds
it's supposed to
You don't throw your time away
sitting still
I'm in a chain of memories
It's my will
And I had to consult some figures of my past
And I know someone after me
Will go right back
I'm not telling a view
I've got this night to unglue
I moved this fight away

I’m pretty sure this song is about Eckhart Tolle’s book The Power Of Now. Or at least he is singing about something very similar the book talks about.
