Unlike many other makes, Hondas defrost the windshield much faster when the 'Recirc' is off. The design is just different. I found this out as a technician, who went to work for Honda after working for Chrysler and Ford. Within a few weeks, I wished that I hadn't wasted my time working for Chrysler and Ford. I said, Honda, where have you been all of my life! The quality was incomparable. I started at Honda in 1996, a year before CRV was introduced.
mine have a defogger and a recirc button so which do I use?
I still have my CR-V, bought around October 1997. But it's down at the moment though, something wrong with the ignition key switch housing.

I don't understand my 1997 Honda CR-V manual,when going uphil in road i fell its struggling,low power it only take 60kpm even i already in full throttle,I already replaced clutch kit,fuel filter,air filter,diff oil.transmmision oil.but in straight flat road,It is good.I dont know if this is normal for honda crv? please help,need any idea.
typo have the pre refresh engine. It doesn’t have enough power, so it struggles on grades
These NEED occasional valve adjustments. Yours is probably due. If you wait too long, you will burn a valve. It's a pretty easy job and there are many videos on UA-cam that cover it.
