I've been looking at my native Jackson MS currently under flood waters and that boat would be of such great use there in helping the residents. Great build. Sure is nice to finally take the boat on water after working on it a while. I got a project boat (Carolina Skiff) last year with a good Yamaha, it was way worth it in the end once it’s done.

Watched from the beginning you really did a great job. My only comment is the boat seemed slow I would think it would do 40-45 mph with that motor. Maybe it needs the pitch adjusted not sure how much hp you have 75 maybe. But nice job no matter how fast it goes.

By far the best build you’ve done! You hav me wanting to find an air boat now 😂 gotta get my Carolina skiff done 1st lol
The motor starts to bog when you give it full throttle. Those gas tanks(with the clogged fuel line) have a brass tube that dips into the fuel. On the end of it they braze a brass screen as a coarse filter. Over years those become corroded and clogged. When you blew it out it made it ok to run. If you want to get it to take a full fuel load you need to unscrew the fitting out of the tank and remedy that clog. That will give you the fuel flow you need.

Awesome job man. I’ve enjoyed watching this build come together. We run a lot of airboats over here in southeast Texas and I’ve personally rebuilt 3 of my own. It’s cool to go out and buy something, but it’s a completely different level of sentimental connection when you restore something and get to take it out for the first time. Great job and keep up the great videos man.

Its nice really good job you did on it. Prop is great. I think you could put a more powerful High performance VW motor on it. That motor sounds like it misses at the top end.

So you splashed it finally. Yea! The only thing I would do to it is install some type muffler(s) to quiet it down a lot. Especially if you are planning to fish from it. But otherwise, I like it!
i grew up in South Florida always had a thing for Airboats although i haven’t owned one yet you did a outstanding job on the one in the video btw ive owned 16 or 17 other boats in my life so far
