- Logitech just released the new Pro X 60 wireless gaming keyboard. With a lack of rapid trigger switches or any real features that makes this relevant in 2024, let's take a look at why you should absolutely avoid spending the $180 when there's numerous other better options on the market.

That intro had me on the floor
Also well said, this is the biggest BS I have *ever* seen from *any* company in my life. Thanks for nothing, Logitech.
This really does look like a board that Logitech forgot to release 7 years ago
I think they were in a rush... they have a life too like mabye need to hurry cuz there flight is on the move or whatever
@@JB-DJ But for $180, just nah. U could just get a better keyboard for under $100
agree :D
Yeah and double so compared to recent Corsair's outing, even they defected to the 2020s already
Logitech increasing prizes but same quality
where is this prize they are giving out
As do alot of brands
(*prices ) but yeah inflation and what not ig im more and more inclined to choose these newer/smaller brands like wooting etc
Literal shrinkflation of tech
Worse quality*. They used to use better switches that weren't proprietary
That shake test got me LMAOOOOO
God that sounds awful, like a bag of rocks.
my 915 is painfully similar
I’m not retarded but I like rocks
That intro implying the keyboard is a POS I love that 💀
The intro really spoke 1000 words about this keyboard
I rarely comment but it’s really nice to see a big reviewer calling out a big company’s bullshit 🎉
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen him this disappointed in a product. Thanks for the honesty Frank!
why do i feel like logitech just mass ordered it from alibaba like a custom RJ61 or GK61
Please don’t compare it to keyboards that are actually good for the price 😂😂
I own a the Gk61 is a god send
@@ambasing69basically it is a GK61 with a massive price hike from greedy Logitech. @techNo1geek made an accurate statement.
BECAUSE LOGITECH DID JUST THAT HELLO!!!???
the gk61 is a good starter board for new pc gamers. but if this Logitech board was even 40 bucks i would not tell anyone about it or recommend it lmfao, and the gk61 I've recommended to many.
Keyboard designer: I can design a new keyboard that cost noting to make but charge an arm and a leg
Logitech: You are promoted
have you noticed they kept designing but not acknowledging economic elasticity?
I'd honestly fire the product manager on the spot. This is completely unacceptable. 180 dollars is another price increase when keyboards are getting cheaper and more refined with each release. God save Logitech at this point. Huge L once again...
Having a keyboard from 5 years ago at the same price as a set a really nice custom is just sad
And that typing sound is brutal, sound like a $20 cheap a*s keyboard
Damn $180, I'd expect machined aluminum body.
Glad you did review it. I like to hear your thoughts on unreasonable products.
That intro and ending were so damn good. I don't even care about the keyboard but now I do. I care how much it sucks because you did this video so well. They need to really take notes from all your points as much as they should know this stuff already.
Ah shit, now we only need marques to drop a bad review on it & we getting rid of Logitech with this one
i like that volume rocker form factor and placement ngl, hopefully others implement similar ideas
Love the translucent keycaps on your wooting, whats the name of these?
That intro is CRAZY LOL!
I know a lot of focus has been brought to the intro, but the abruptness of the ending? That is the exclamation point to your "No thanks" right there.
To be fair, he used a fade to black rather than a hard cut. Haha
Love the new vid style bro!
I upgraded from my Logitech G915 to a Varmilo Minilo. Even though it's plastic it's such a big upgrade. I don't miss the key rattle, or lack of gasket, no dampening, bad stabilizer, proprietary keys etc...
The best part about this keyboard is the promotional ASMR unboxing video they released was more of a warning than an ad
The Intro dudeee 💀 bruh iam dead
Intro was pure 🔥!
Rfp you have a positive cantal tilt. I'm so happy for you!
The clicking of the pen for sound reference at the start is a great basis. Kudos to the person who came up with it.
I'm dead happy to see some negative reviews because that means being brutally honest for the viewers.
Mr. Frank, my buddy was in need of a windows key. I remembered watching one of your videos way back when, and you plugged a website for buying windows keys. Do you remember what the website was?
Great ( & honest) review! Well done Frank 👍
Man ... that intro is killer. The toilet paper on top at the end was chef kiss. I could hate the rest of your review, but it's a very creative and funny intro.
This is the kind of honesty we need nowadays! nice comic inference with the Seinfeld bit awesome!
So whats the alternative for a 60% wireless mechanical keyboard with exteremely small latency for gaming that has rgb and 60 hours of battery life?
That intro was too good lmao! I bet you thought of the intro idea while actually using that very same toilet! Lol
Frank, that intro... boy, you are an absolute savage❤😂
The pull up BEFORE the wipe in the intro was wild
can you do an updated review of the apex pro tkl? they did a few firmware updates to try and keep up and im curious what you think of them
Love that Aesop Intro!
Have you checked out the Polar 65 by Arbiter Studios? It’s a great keyboard and it’s up there with the wooting
Was hyped for this video. Thank you Frank.
@Logitech at this price point you need hotswappable hall-effect (ideally universal) switches if you want to actually sell this
Man I hate how these are such good videos but they get no views and the comments are almost all bots. But keep it up! Keep making these awesome videos.
I also think it's crazy how a big company like logitech can get away with this. I mean they have some pretty good other products, but holy, this ones bad.
Agree!
Google Logitech DEI and you will find the direct problem.
The saddest thing is that for $180 they give you a $50 crappy keyboard. When there are options like the Womier S-K71 which is full aluminum, plus it feels and sounds incredible for a modest price of $80-90
intro was fire Frank
This really should've had the PowerPlay treatment and had actual support for aftermarket optical switches. Then I can see a point for it costing the way it does.
Very honest and good criticism
i like how they started from inexpensive but really good quality to cheap but pricey products, like their last par of headset they released for 250$ with little to no improvement just that they are wireless
Hi, could you recommend a good gaming keyboard please? And also a good mouse. I play competitive Fortnite, where every millisecond counts... Thanks
Man that intro was hella great :)
Best.Intro.Ever.
Solid Vid as always
You are a king. This video was pure gold. 🔥
Jajajajajaja Mr that intro deserves some thumps up grettings from México 👍🏻
That intro alone explains the state of Logitech's products, good work as always! 💪
0:20 :O .....oh he went there 😂😂
180 for a green PCB is crazy
If you want to know why Logitech advertises "Key Control" as a feature I think it is because for years now they never had a keyboard that could be fully customisable with the macros and remapping on each key and only on their keyboards that contained macro keys on the side did they have this available as a feature and even then only those specific macro keys on the side were customisable and not the rest of the keys. As far I am aware Corsair was the first with this feature which they added to their very first K70 RGB which BTW was the very first RGB mechanical keyboard and it also had per key RGB lighting and was the first for that too because before that any keyboard that did have backlighting only had a single colour and when the keyboard did have a lighting effect it would just be some sort of flicker where all switches would change together in synchronization. Corsair working together with Cherry pioneered RGB mechanical switches that could be individually controlled back in 2014 and that was a WHOLE ASS DECADE AGO. Logitech took 10 years to do that
When looking at this so called "Key Control" feature from the perspective I just talked about it is all the more shocking as to why it is being advertised as a feature which has been given its own special name. because NO ONE ELSE advertises it as a feature let alone give the feature a specific "cool name" since they have gone and done that feature years ago. I remember I think it was JayzTwoCents who did a video on a Logitech full size wireless keyboard like 3 years ago and was shocked they did not have remappable keys on that keyboard except for the macro keys on the side
10:18 That shake test is shocking....
good thing I'm looking at going with corsair products from now on then right?
Thank you.
I wanted to ask what website (9:56) that is, I'm quite curious.
The very stock green pcb got me rolling. Havent seen that in a while
Yeah I know right. It looks so archaic. But then again, they could'nt even properly make it hotswap so its not like you will see it anyway.
I have an Idea for logitech, build on the g915 platform with magnetic low profile switches with pbt keycaps. Would buy it in a heartbeat.
WELL SAID. Funnily I wanted to get this when it was first announced but now I will wait.
IMO - It's an adequate keyboard. Just not good enough for the "pro" label and price-tag.
Imagine _Redragon_ (of all the companies) having a K617 with magnetic switch and 8k, while Logitech has this thing, oh boy.
My Logitech G710+, which I believe was Logitech's first mech keyboard, was giving up the goat on a few keys after 11+ years of use. Looked around and ended up on the Wooting 60HE+ and honestly couldn't be happier. I have Logitech's Superlight 2 (got it for Christmas) and it's been a great mouse, but in general I agree that Logitech is charging far too much for a lot of their stuff as of late. If this Pro X 60 came out and had rapid trigger keys but Logitech's software that would let me set profiles per game and automatically switch to those profiles when I launch the game? I might have canceled my order and stuck with Logitech. I also really like their Lightspeed wireless tech for my mouse, and having the same tech for my keyboard to be fully wireless would have been fantastic.
I've generally liked Logitech gear and at one point nearly all of my peripherals (speakers, mouse, keyboard, headset, webcam, mouse pad/mat) were all Logitech. My headset gave up the goat pretty quickly (partially my fault), and when my keyboard finally did as well nothing of what Logitech offered made sense for the spend.
how long until you post your viper v3 pro review? this week? next week?
When the embargo lifts 😶
You can get the pre-built version of the Luminkey65 for 179 bucks. That's a true, proper (gasket mount, aluminium case, copper weight) custom keyboard.
Man I have a 25 bucks 96 Mechanical Keyboard and it doesn't make a rattle sound like that. As if Logitech thinks the eSports fans are easy to fool.
the only thing I commend them doing having a switch to turn on or off the function of the windows key
They just plop a generic kb pcb, added their ghub integration. add some dial and extra buttons.
I'm still waiting for a damn wireless Huntsman Mini.
I have a G915 TKL, It bogels my mind how much more expensive this is. At least the G915 has a metal brushed plate on it.
I have a Razer Huntsman Tournament with optical switches , a nightmare when playing race games like F1 and dirt rally or wrc.
Fantastic video :) Logi gotta be sitting in the lab thinking "didn't know the P is for pissed off".
Similar boards are available for around $50.
I have to nitpick about the negativity on 1kHz polling rate, though. Fractions of a millisecond is absolutely tiny compared to anything else involved in a key press. If the point was that you can't go slower, I'd like to have seen where that matters - other than technically not having control over it.
With the mentioned best gaming keyboard, the polling rate is changeable but at 1kHz at max.
Im fricking love the intro lmao
Waiting for Frank to drop a huntsman v3 pro review after this!!
My suggestion is Logitech should make a 65% and 76% version, cause it has the arrow key. Plus upgrade the G305/304 mouse to 60 gram. This 2 should sell well. Heck even a low profile slim version with 65 or 75 % would be nice...like keychron.
Unexpected well thought intro. Love it
Logitech released this as if the HE keyboards didn't exist. They probably put more money into the office space products than the gaming since I see a ton of the office products ads lately.
Nah that intro was somthing else 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im so glad to see randomfrankP still doing content after so long. I remeber being 14, drooling over some of the tech shown on this channell. Im now 20, and here we are still. Always loved your content.
Hoping this is the transition to Frank James Rebrand coz man is entering his villain arc💀
NO. This "villain arc" meme has to stop. Calling companies on their BS is NOT villainous. Logitech is the villain here.
@@Marrrrtin real
That Ric Flair WOOOO! convinced me right away
I love that intro haha. That key wobble is very attrocious, I have a Keytronic membrane keyboard from 1999 with less wobble than that Pro X 60 sheesh.
I'd rather get a keyboard like my buddy's which is a Langu GK65 Tri-Mode which costs around 30 USD and sounds thocky stock, not like a cheap plastic toy like that Pro X 60.
Great review ❤❤❤
The tolerances on those switches, plate, and caps make me physically ill lmao that shake test was very telling about the quality
The beginning killed me 🤣
GK 61 + Logitech Esc Keycap = $180
great deal
Love the intro! 😂
That intro was so EPIC!!!!!
Hey can anyone tell me which website he used to show the most used keyboard and mouse in the video?
you should honestly be a product manager or something. you have better ideas than most of these top companies lol
It would have made sense if it was made of aluminium also why are there so many random protrusions in the bottom of the case?
dont worry i copped the wooting yesterday 🙏🏻
I was waiting to see the whole clip, but that intro haha is the best hahahaha Ready to see unearthed to bury it again!
Holy crap, the intro got me rolling
We are at an era of keyboards where doing absolutely nothing special is considered bad. That is a good thing but it makes it harder and harder for new companies to stand out
The intro is f*king fire🔥
Amazing Review!
