Fred Meyer’s is owned by Kroger’s, but only on the West Coast.
Similar to a Walmart Superstore (full grocery store, electronics department, clothes, hardware, home goods, etc) but more upscale

If you clean that big speaker you can sell it for half of what it would have been worth on facebook market place. Don't trash something that if it works will still be sell-able.
They probably had it for years and it broke, then they bought a new one and returned it with the old broken one in the box
Megabits Mb (usually data transfer over modem) vs Megabytes MB (usually data storage size). If it's capitalized it's a Byte if not it's a bit. A Byte is 8 bits. Modems and then ISP's have always used bits because it was a carryover from when a bit was the common form of data measurement and now it's a more impressive number when explaining data speed even though we have used the Byte when talking about data size since the 80's. An old 56K modem was 56 Kilobits. It sounded better than a 7K modem if they were to have used Bytes. You only hear gigabyte GB or terabyte TB when dealing with data storage now but internet providers can't change from bit to Byte now or their advertised speeds would be divided by 8. Spectrum advertises 200Mbps starting download speed. It wouldn't sound so great if it were 25MBps starting download speed even though it's the exact same speed. Cheers!

Fred Meyers are located in Seattle Washington that I've been too/seen. It's really a mix of everything, electronics , clothes , groceries, home furniture .

a store just opened up near my job that basically does this. They buy a bunch of returns and liquidation pallets and just toss it all in these long huge bins and instead of marking everything with a specific price they just blanket charge the same price for whatever you find no matter what it is. but the price changes throughout the week. So Fridays when they get their new stock in its $10 for whatever you find. Saturdays still $10, then Sunday it drops to $6, Mondays are $3 and then Tuesday everything left is $1. then they close for 2 days and clear the bins, recycle anything left and then refill them for the next Friday. Its wild. I got 150 dollars worth of power tools for 32 bucks on a Saturday.

That JBL charge 5 had the wrong model in the box! I have one and it has a USB C on the back, not that weird cover port and you can tell by the side of the speaker

There are warehouse locations in California where you can go and bid, there are also some sites, like Direct Liquidation, where you can bid on them, but the shipping is often exorbitant.
So the JBL aren't in collaboration with Harman, but Harman owns JBL. Just like Samsung in turn owns Harman

The JBL Charge 5 isn't even a Charge 5, the JBL logo on the speaker doesn't even match the one on the box. Since the Charge 5 series, they changed the logo.
They gave him a Charge 3 lol
Someone got a free upgrade, they put their old charge 3 in the box and returned it and kept the charge 5

@@randomfrankp my bad, I should've timestamped at the time, panned through the video twice now and can't find it, was about a 5 second bit of no audio from your microphone roughly around the midway point. Would probably be easy to find if you had the audio data from the video, looking for blank parts of audio around 3-5 seconds long.

mystery tech is a pretty convoluted name for e-waste.
You gotta remember that amazon sells stuff from small stores... They still handle all returns and payments but not the shipping out sometimes. Company sells on amazon, amazon handles payment and returns but company ships directly
