Love it. Working on mine, similar combination. Be in Texas mine is left hand drive. Looks like mine is easier to work on. Except for the cold air intake, that took a little sorting out. Really enjoy your channel, never miss an episode. Thank you for keeping the MK1 alive.

This car was at b5 last time I was there in August...I couldn't stop drooling over it, beautiful motor 👍
Looks like great fun, Quite funny hearing that talk of a DSG after you have just changed the gearbox. A DQ500 would fit in their just nice and it would be even more mental. What were the changes like with the new SMF . That friction plate looks well heavy compared to the DMF version. As it's a stroka motor and doesn't rev so high and the box should have good synchros then the changes should be good. You and Germain looked you were sweating more after driving the car than changing the gearbox.
The smf made it quite quick to rev, the red line is lower than before and despite the longer final drive it still eats through the gears in no time! Bit of practice required for perfect changes me thinks!
Sold my TT 3.2 but still watch your videos , only issue is your making me want another mk1 TT 🥸
Its only when you put these cars up against other quick cars you really see the power! Nice to see you behind the wheel Bryn giving it the beens!!! From mk3 A3 I think, airbag fits ok as its single stage like the TT
I'd love to see this car, but with pd130 6 speed 02m gearbox internals for the longer gears (as mentioned in the video, the gears are too short). I'd love to see a 3rd gear pull on a 1.9 box in this car! BTW, the gears are direct swap into this box, cases are the same

DWS TT do you have any info on the ignitron ecu and the tablet he uses i need that set up on mine , great channel by the way I've been hoocked the past 2 months ever since I've had my tt and picked up some good knowledge along the way , thanks

Its not too difficult

You need the DSG from mk2 TT, biggest problem would be making the inside look nice and OEM.
Wouldnt be too bad- just use the mk1 v6 interior bits

Depends on how you build them. This car for example is driven daily and is reliable, and is over 600bhp, but i know of stock cars that are unreliable because corners are cut

How is this turbo in every day use? Is the spool good or it sleeps like 3076?
The 20mph pull gives you an idea, but on a 1.8 its more laggy. Better than a 3076 but still laggy

@@BWSTT, definitely does 600 hp. Or even more.. But it runs slowly because of the driver's weight :)
