- One question we get quite often is what sort of maintenance to do on your new baitcast reel. Be it the new Komodo SS, Helios SX or one o the many other reels in the lineup, self maintenance is fairly simple.

Should it be grease for the worm gear??
Can you please tell me is the handle loose on this Komodo SS reels,I bought new one today ,feels kinda loose when reeling,like it has 0.5mm of free space when you grab the drag star and try to pull in,out.Sorry for my bad English hope you understand my question.Maybe its normal?

Okuma Fishing Tackle USA No, part number 37 on a Coldwater 354 LowPro. I did figure out the twist part of the side cover by watching another guys video and then was able to figure out the rest.
We need a makaira baitcaster!!!!

Good reel, but mine doesn’t cast that far....and found out that the gears got a lot of grease!
I just got a new Abu Garcia black max combo about a month ago when should i start do the lube ?
I have no idea what Abu Garcia recommends for their reels. You may want to check with them. But in general, every couple of uses is a good idea.
Just picked up the combo. Curious myself.
