It's crazy weird to see someone win by striking without a knockout. Dude's hits don't even look that hard tbh. To a casual it looks like his opponents are throwing the fight.
I have a feeling that Roman was studying in a medicine college, or anywhere else, anatomy of the human body. Man his body kicks and shots are so precise! I love it! He reminds me of old school boxers who knew that in order to have a clear punch to open head with the guard down, they first got to throw some good 2-3 punches at the body, especially in the liver area. And Roman is doing exactly that! And he hits not only the liver, he finds all weak points at opponents bodies. Hope he will learn fully how to defend against takedowns and this guy will become a threat to the top-5 of his division.
He has crazy speed AND power, and also a mixture of leg and hand strikes that is basically unheard of in the UFC. He's very similar to Wonderboy, but with about twice the output, and twice the power. There's nobody in the UFC today that can throw so many close range combination punches the way Kopylov does. The way he sets up his offense, his strikes actually provide defense, which is what makes his style so unusual. TJ Dillashaw in his fights against Barao showed a similar high level of footwork and boxing, but I can't think of anyone who makes it look this good.
true, but i just knew he was going to have problems with ground game, happens every time a guy is too good at striking. they always end up getting taken down and submitted by wrestling/juijitsu skills.
Hes good but there are so many great prospects right now the sport is growing at an exponential pace. From illia topuria, to Khamzat to shavkat....its a great time to be a ufc fan
I look forward to watching this guy work his way up in the UFC. Definitely champion material while on his feet. Unlike other fighters, most of his kicks and punches to the body targets the opponent's liver. His opponents should do the same.
Watching his style and the difference between how he executes combinations instead of just throwing a 1+2 or whatever (he still throws it occasionally) is awesome to watch. I cant think of anyone aside from maybe Justin G who will lead with a feint, high kick and then throw hands with it in the same combination having massive success with it due to nobody being ready for it. Crazy mixups and speed+power 😊 also, his machine gun straight/jab/cross combos while retreating are insanely fast and accurate.

He only smiles after 4 straight wins, following his 2 losses like a proper Siberian stoic. (Great hands with newly acquired grappling skills. Tough as nails).
Keep the videos coming.
Very talented fighter, a gentleman, too. After watching this video, I became a fan, I will be following his career.
He’s got a solid head and torso kick ☠️
.....he moves excellently, dodges, changes angle and guard like a cobra, hits technically perfectly, that's why his K.O. kick is violent and devastating. , he is fast, although he doesn't look like it, and he doesn't spend an iota of energy more than he needs to, a smart fighter...he's not a showman, he doesn't insult his opponents, he's only focused on what he's in the ring for and he looks like a well-bred guy...good luck to him and I wish him all the best and most important thing - to be healthy...
Extremely talented and humble! Wish him only the best!
MMA history has shown you can't simply rely on being a striker, nor rely on simply having a good ground game. You have to possess both equally to rise to the top of the game. I hope this young man does well. He looks like an exciting fighter. Time and experience will tell.
he lost his first 2 ufc fights due to the grappling i think. since then hes been on a 4 or 5 fight win streak his his striking
Does anyone notice that this channel refers to Black men as Dutch, Spanish and French?
@@archangel2781Maybe because they were born there?
if you actually have a keen eye he's stuffed every takedown ever since training in dagestan. But it's easy to be armchair experts that have no depth in their analysis
A good enough striker doesnt need a ground game, he can put the opponent down the way a man fights.
I am not a big UFC fan, but Roman is the embodiment of the truism that hard work leads to success, and he remains true to himself.
Well this video title didn’t age well. Roman just got owned and choked by guy whose nickname is “Fluffy” lol.
Fluffy would fluff your ass up
But yeah that nickname is “questionable“ 😅
I guess you don’t watch ufc to know how good Hernandez really is
03:02 vicious spinning attack. Man, you had me 😂
3:00 😂😂
Allowing the Brazilian to end the Round with a Vicious Spinning Attack.
WTH man 😂😂😅
was that sarcastic?
@Randyfisher obviously it was, that kick was far from vicious, if it was anything, it was lethargic.
The reaction of commentators to that kick also is there for comic effect.
This guy is a badass holy
Glad to see your channel popping off!! The views and comments were way too low for the quality of content and hilarious never ending metaphors ❤
FLUFFY HERNANDEZ!!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
15:30 seeing him come back here after his anime training arc and looking so confident after being 0-2 in UFC is inspiring
VoteSport is awesome !!!
8:36 never seen so much respect from a round Starting glove touch 👊
I seen "next big thing in UFC" and was hoping it was about me? My 0-0 record is legit!!
@sycamore5493 ...fair enough 👍
@sycamore5493Shutup
I got you beat.
I've been undefeated at 0-0 in the UFC for decades.
I retired undefeated.
Damn dog I'm pulling for you 😂🎉
Your narration is by far the best in the business :)
No tattoos, no comedy, just discipline. Keep going brother.
I wonder how did Roman "discover" hand-to-hand combat.
The same way any kid discovers it, getting slapped in the face.
Been a fan of his for the last couple years. Future champ.
