- Metal Detecting the first house of the year after months of hunting through early settler farm fields and we decided to go back to a house that we started last year. When we were here the first time the yard was loaded with targets from all through the centuries. We found coins from the 1700s, 1800, and 1900s, several amazing old buttons including military, hunting, and everyday garment buttons, plus interesting old Victoria earrings, rings, charms, and other incredible old relics. We are coming back again now to try to do the areas that were too wet the first time we were there as well as do another pass around the property as a whole because no place is hunted out and man did we get a TON on this return trip!

All great finds but that large silver Cowboy brooch is out of this world! The ladies today still love those one of a kind large brooches. Since the stamp location is in a different spot than the one you found online, I think that means the artist made probably a select few of them. Wow!

@14:11 Over here in the UK I have found about half a dozen what we call two piece sporting buttons. The back marks have a variation of the words " Sporting Design " on them. Dating from the Victorian era. The designs are all from the hunting scene ie horses, hounds, foxes, ducks, rabbits etc. 🐎🐕🦊🦆🐰. 🙂.
War Nickels were made from 1942-1945 from all mints P, D, and S. The button with the "Animal" is a "Cub Scout" button. Displaying the Cub that represents the club. 😁 Rich's Sterling is amazing!! Happy Hunting!

Old houses rock! So many great finds already but Rich's sterling cowboy is as unique as any item I've ever seen posted- simply epic! My greatest success in houses has always been in the front yards, so I'm really looking forward to next week's episode (plus I'll be 1 week closer to retirement!).

The rail hook you found could also be a waist pin for hat went on a women’s skirt during the Victorian era and they would attach items (watch, pen on a retractable chain, etc. similar to a chatelaine.)

Man, I just wanted to say you have inspired me. I've watched almost every one of your videos. I'm a recovering fentanyl and heroin addict. I'm going on two years clean on the 25th of this month. The item you call a picture hanger looks like a chatelaine holder, it hooks onto a belt or sash and the chatelaine would hook to the bottom. The fox button is some sort of livery button.
