Darn, I have missed watching your videos. You provide such a wealth of information with such passion and delight. Oh and I think Kiddo's filming is truly AMAZING.
I grow Lemon Grass and my neighbor has peach trees. I think those two would make a really lovely shrub.
Oh I think so too!! I have lemongrass growing as well.
Thanks Correne, I picked up a book on Shrubs last yr, I use apple cider vinegar ( mostly cause I make my own) but love the idea of using rice vinegar. I have also used white wine vinegar and have a delicious recipe for watermelon basil shrub. Thanks for your recipes can't wait to try them.
I love using ACV too because of the health benefits, but there are just some fruits that DO NOT go well with it. Also... watermelon and basil!? Amazing!
This sounds delicious!
Such a great flavour combination! I love experimenting with new shrub recipes.
I love your chanel so much and you are so pretty big big love to u keep going 💕
Thank you so much!!
This looks wonderful!
I'm going to make it today as I have an abundance of basil.
I did make blueberry hyssop shrub.
I used anise hyssop which I would not suggest because it's a little overpowering so regular hyssop is better .
I am looking forward to using the combination of white wine vinegar and ACV you suggested as the ACV alone is a strong flavor.
Thank you for all you do!!
You are most welcome! I love the combo of hyssop and blueberry though. I wonder what the anise could pair well with in terms of fruit since it has that fennel/licorice flavour to it. Hmmm.
After you strain it and if you keep it in the fridge how long will it last? I made the blueberry and lemon balm. Love it. Trying to stop drinking soda and replace with these shrubs.
I store mine at room temperature and they keep for at least a year!
Is a Shrub and Cheong kind of the same rhing? Looks really delicious
I had to google Cheong, but it appears those are just fruit and sugar. The main difference would be the vinegar you choose to add.
Thanks, that’s sound delicious will be on my to do lists for sure
Hi Correne. I have a question about oregano. Can I harvest oregano after it flowers to use in a tincture?
For tinctures I prefer that it is flowering. Ideally early in its flowering season. If its too late the plant will not have the potency you are hoping for. Hope that helps!
Thank you!❤@@SpiraeaHerbs
