    Really enjoy listening to Ed Diaz on the FA 06. I have just bought one of these fabulous keyboards, however I have a question For Ed please: I am a Korg man and have a Karma which I split to play Bass in my Left Hand and Piano etc. in the right. I had another Karma on top of my rig to play my organs etc. I have both global midi channels set to transmit and receive on midi channel 1. I took midi out of both Karma's via a midi merge box and had the midi in of my vocal Harmonizer following the chords I play on both Karma's to get my harmonies. PROBLEM I CAN'T GET THE FA 06 TO TRACK THE CHORD CHANGES where as the Karma still works fine. I'VE LOOKED EVERYWHERE I CAN THINK OF TO GET SOME HELP TO ACHIEVE WHAT I HAD WITH THE 2 KARMA'S. Ed can you please help me.Chris.

    I watched this video but could not find out how to copy loops so they keep playing when u add other tracks?
    If the loop is only two measures long then the loop stops when u add other instruments on other tracks ... after two measures.
    How do I keep the loop going?
    I could not find anything in the manual about it.
    Any advice?

    Ia the only way to get sounds into the DAW using the SD card, or can you record directly to the DAW via USB? I noticed the manual says their USB driver is for both MIDI and audio, but the only demos I've seen show the player always dumping tracks to the card, then putting the card into the computer to load the DAW. Why does the driver say "MIDI and audio" if the SD card is the only way to export sounds? Thanks!

    My problem is when I make a song I change the sixteen sounds to my liking. I save my work. I turn off and back on, load my work and the sounds in my song are now preset sounds and not the ones I was was using. What am I doing wrong?

    Is the FA is actually the new Fantom??? Did Roland replace the Fantom series with the FA series. I asked because I'm trying to sit out for the new Fantom and not get cheated like years ago when I bought the Roland X6 and with in 3 weeks Roland released the Fantom G series. I want to upgrade from my Fantom X6 but I want to wait out on the new Fantom. Or is the FA the new Fantom? If so.... I'll upgrade to one.

      I have an X6 as well, bought in 2007. The FA06 is the new Fantom indeed, it's got much better sounds than the X6, and an analog modelling sound engine. It doesn't have audio inputs and it seems samples only apply to the pads, whereas you could sample on the X6 and play it as a patch with the keyboard. Who knows... maybe they'll do an OS upgrade with those possibilities for the FA series. Oh also... the Fantom X6 has a fantastic semi-weighted keyboard. The FA06 has a cheap, not weighted keyboard, so the action is not as nice.

      ***** Are u asking or saying tht it does have audio input???

    • @JeremyRobberechts
      @JeremyRobberechts 10 років тому

      True. Don't remember how I got it wrong. It doesn't have multiple audio tracks in the sequencer though, but that feature might be added later on, as they did with the Fantom X. I've played with it for a while in a shop and the action of the FA06 is quite horrendous, the keys are very short.

      ***** So at the end of the day living in today's generation of technology which would u want to be left with? The Fantom X or the FA 06/08???

      SuperNatural sounds are great indeed. Got the pianos in my RD300NX. I don't know how to have sounds such as Mellotron or CP80 in the FA06/08 and that's quite a problem for me. Seems it's possible to expand the sound banks, I haven't seen how yet.
