We have olive wood floors in our bedroom (herringbone pattern, no rugs) and it feels very warm and inviting. It does seem to attract lots of dust and requires frequent yet gentle cleaning. We are however used to "harder hard flooring" where I live (we used to have cement tiles in our previous bedroom) so wood definitely feels "soft" in comparison.

It actually depends on the size of the tv. And it's really all about preference. Many love their tv above the fireplace and others prefer it to be lower.

I love the floors, what a beautiful difference from the previous stain. I'm in love with the chandelier in the living room it really caught my eye. I definitely would have gone with dark walls in the study. Also, the master bath is really nice, I have the same tiles on my floor and I've been trying to decide what color to do the counters. Valentina, count on ZZ plant. It cannot be killed. You keep it in the dark or without water and it still looks great. Also, it is buget friendly. I got mine from Ikea. I have them all over my house, even in a dark bathroom.
So true, I eventually killed mine after it had grown into a giant one by forgetting to bring it inside in... early january. Other than that the poor thing thrived in any condition and loved being both inside and outside (under an awning to protect the leaves from sunburn)
