- I am so excited to take you along on this cozy fall home tour! Last week I shared many of my recent fall finds with you, and gave you a few sneak peaks of my decor. I love to take my time decorating each season, and finding the perfect spot for everything, and I am so happy with how my fall decor came together this year!

When you said to examine our hearts when we decorate and ask why. I am 72 and live alone. Yet I decorate for every season because I love to acknowledge the changing of the seasons . If no one ever comes, it doesn't matter. The joy I get from a plump pumpkin, a glowing candle , greens and berries and trees and foliage makes my life a celebration. It can be subtle or a little extra. I do it for me. If someone comes and gets pleasure from it.. its a win,win. Its a cozy, nesting thing that is just ingrained in my soul.

Good for you!! I am the exact same way. I also live alone. I love to decorate my home. I do it for every season as well and many times even every “holiday.” I use the same items each year for the most part. Maybe get a couple little things here and there. New candle etc…and I’m usually the only one who ever sees it as well. But that’s totally fine, because that’s who I do it for, me. 😊
So true. I also am 72. I love to decorate and no one really comments about my decorating , meaning my adult sons and their wives, and it use to dissappoint me but i still want it to look inviting and welcoming even if nothing is said. So i basically do it for my own enjoyment, and that's ok! It brings me joy!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Hi Andrea, you have an incredibly homey home…a great haven to be…I SO appreciated when you shared about feeling pressured to decorate for every season! I live in Canada, and I don’t get it WHY women these days feel they have to do that… I can’t imagine what it must cost to have the latest decor trends bought up…and then taken down and stored somewhere…and then get onto the next seasonal flavours! I love fall too, but I enjoy the natural beauty of it, the air of fall, the changing of colours everywhere, harvesting flavours, the process of the leaves falling down with the wind, certain flowers that will still bloom until heavier frost comes, eating vegetables like squashes, pumpkins, and fall fruits like new tree ripened apples, pears, prune plums and more…canning and freezing, etc. My husband made a comment the other day after I shared how this seasonal decorating has become so highly important…U-tube is unreal with the necessity to decorate as a show home…anyways he said that it’s become like an idol to a lot of women! The seasons don’t last that terribly long and I guess that what I have in our home stays year round! I do some special decorating for Christmas, to honour Jesus Christs’ coming…but I don’t have any Santa, elves, gnomes, grinches, or other decor that takes away from the true meaning of
Christmas… So when you said, what is your motive to do certain things….we make choices every day and if we are true believers in Jesus Christ, we want to make
choices that are God honouring… Yes, I do like our home to be a place where you enjoy being…. Oh, and I am SO done with seeing pumpkins on U-tube channels…fall is SO much more than pumpkins! And Halloween coming up soon….. There’s sure a lot more to our precious life than constantly decorating! We have countless homeless Street people and with all of the Covid catastrophe with people losing their jobs and homes, and many families are having an incredibly tough time just barely making it month by month, and anytime we will be going into the governments’ last demands with jabs, masks, restrictions, mandates forced and probably lockdowns again… So it boils down to what is most important to us…what are our priorities… Jesus is coming soon! We need to be ready!
I love you, Andrea…the love of Jesus emanates from you, you are a beautiful woman of Almighty God, and your heart is desiring to live for God…that means alot to me! God bless you and your family…immeasurably! You can be a beautifully strong light for Jesus on your U-Tube channel, you can be an awesome testimony to other women who are SO needing to find the love of Jesus in these difficult days! God could continue to

Last week I posted a comment to say that I think it is less typical for people in the UK to decorate their homes seasonally but honestly when I look at your home I now feel inspired to add a little autumn to my home. Oh, I so agree! Many people decorate for Halloween in the UK, but not for the actual Autumn season. I started decorating my entrance door with wreaths and malms a few years ago and actually some many people stopped by to say how nice that I do that. Now, my neighbours anticipate a new wreath for each season. What will it be this year, Joanna? 😂

Andrea, I love your house and decorating style but if I’m being really honest, I continue to follow you and watch not because of that but because your light shines so brightly for the Lord and every video brings me joy (not to mention fun decorating ideas). You are an encouragement to me and this ole Mimi loves to see you doing real life with those precious boys. Keep doing what you are doing. Andrea, I love your use of negative space. Your shelves are not loaded with objects. I have cooked from scratch (generally) my entire 48 years of married life. There is nothing more pleasing to me as to see a well used kitchen. “Designer unused kitchens seem such a waste”. You are an encouragement to young moms. ❤

I had a mom who instilled in me a love of home decor and making things beautiful. I feel her presence when I shop, decorate, or host family and friends. I always incorporate her items into everything I do. So yes, home decor is personal and not silly at all.

I was born in late 50's and my Mom was a stay at home Mom... raised 7 kids. She cleaned all the time - constant laundry. But she had a plague with a Chinese proverb that hung on the wall in the kitchen - that said "My home is clean enough to be healthy, and dirty enough to be happy". We didn't have alot growing up - but always love in the home. Taught morals and respect for others. Would not trade it for anything. Your boys will always remember the love in their home.

Your home is beautiful! I raised 4 boys too and my home looked like a rumpas room most of the time! But, our home was filled with love and laughter and the boys knew it was always a welcome place for them and their friends to hang out.

My youngest son is 33 now and for the last 18 years I’ve had Grandkids here a lot!! More love and laughter and finally some more girls in the house!! We have 5 Granddaughters and 3 Grandsons!! So much to appreciate !!

Your home looks beautiful and cozy for fall. I love that you feel led to encourage young moms. I am now a grandma and both of my daughters get so discouraged sometimes with their homes never looking clean and neat. I loved the tour. I'm sure it is a lot of work getting it all picked up for a tour. I have been following along for a long time and always love what you share. I am not a young mom but if I was in this day of so much to see online, it would be hard not to feel discontent with all the people buying so much. I enjoy decor and interior design so i watch a lot of videos, but it can get to be overload at times. Esp with fall and christmas a lot of people buy tons of things and fill their homes. I can appreciate it, however there is beauty and calmness in a scaled back approach too. I appreciate this video and tour for this reason. You don't have to buy all the latest decor to have a beautiful and welcoming home.

Andrea first I applaud you for being able to get your home in order for filming for us with 4 children under tow!! Thats a Blue Ribbon award fist! 😊 your home looks so beautiful and peaceful. Feels like a welcoming space for your children to grow up. There is nothing more comforting for a child to feel safe and loved in their home and the memories your boys will have when they become men will be with them forever. I hope you film your times around the table for your personal treasure trove for your boys to have to show their families one day. Thank you for being open and real for the young mothers. I was a mom of three boys at a very young age. 15,18 and 21. So yes me and my husband married at a very young age. Just celebrated 42 years yesterday. We now have 7 grands 4 girl's finally lol.. You have such a calm demeanor! I think the peaceful feeling your home has is a reflection of your personality. It is a good lesson for all of us, that our home is a reflection of our personality. So if we make a conscientious effort to remain calm, move through life deliberately, live simply, choose quality over quantity, and peace over drama, our homes will reflect that. I surprised myself when I couldn't help but start crying at the end, when you shared real footage of kid life. I needed that. God knew. Mama of five under 7. I hurt myself physically, mentally, psychologically, and spiritually trying to keep my home as styled and clean as possible. Even though I just turned 60 I’m a young 60 if I do say so myself (teehee) and now raising grandkids. I am going to share your channel with both of my daughters, who are young moms. I am a difference, maker, and life coach for widows and illness has kind of sabotaged my business in a big way and so this video inspired me with how you just have a heart for young moms and I have a heart for widows. I think the reason we change our decor is to acknowledge the different seasons and to make memories for our family; I know my granddaughter is always thrilled when I change things over; she looks at everything and we talk about the significance of each item.🍁🍁🍁🍁🎃🎃🎃🎃

I love the changing seasons. I adore the new decorations and never stress about any of it. Everyone in the house enjoys the change up. We don't do anything in our house to impress other people. It just makes everything feel exciting and different. We tend to be homebodies so the change is nice. Most of what I have is thrifted and I like to see it again and again. We also change our menu for the season also.
Women are the ones responsible for creating a warm and loving atmosphere for their home. Which I love doing.

Hello I really enjoyed your lovely video as always. Your home very beautiful and I love the touches of fall simple elegance. I also raised 3 boys a blended family almost 40 years ago, 12 years later after getting married welcomed a daughter. She just got married in July. So I know what the days are like, but enjoy everyone of them, it goes fast, we now have 8 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Take care looking forward to next video lovely person.

Your home is beautiful and so inviting. I love to decorate. Maybe to much I'm trying to downsize on my decor. Its been hard because i love decorate ,but I'm getting older and going up and down a ladder is getting challenging at times. Arthritis in my knees. I have 4 grandbabies ages 13 to 2 and sometimes my house looks like a tornado went through but i try to remind myself they don't stay little for long. Enjoy thise precious years. I have 3 small lamps in my kitchen and its small not a lot of counter space but the lamps give it more light and make it more cozy. I don't get a lot of nature light, thats why i love my lamps. 😊

This is my first visit with you...where have you been? I LOVE your house!!! You have done a fabulous job making it what you love. We started out in a house built in 1902, making every inch of it what we loved. Then, after 17 years there, my husband's work changes caused us to move--just 30 miles away, but to a different house, much more modern, this "new" one built in the mid-70s, but still another "old house" for the late 90s when we moved! It has gone through just as many changes as our first home, but it still lacks the character of our first home.❤ Thx for sharing, young mother/wife! I'll see you again!🎉
I am not decorated yet for fall, I minimize my fall . I keep it up till after thanksgiving, than I start on Christmas which I go over the top. I decorate for the joy and how it’s makes me feel. I personally would love to see more of this, hearing the boys in the background, preparing you dinner, just a normal day.
Brought a tear to my sixty year old eyes remembering my days homeschooling our three beautiful boys. You have created a warm and welcoming home- but more than that, as our home did, you can feel the peace and love throughout. What a precious gift to your family. Your attitude of self examination, less is just fine, doing things for the right reasons, and letting go of perfection, is wisdom, and will benefit many if they are wise enough to follow your lead. Your home is so beautiful, warm and inviting. I have enjoyed decorating and wanted it to look pretty but always ready for people to enjoy for family gatherings and make memories. Now that I am a senior in a smaller place with less large family gathering I still decorate to make our home special and cozy just for us. It’s important to feel your home is a soft place to fall.

I decorate for the season because my husband and children appreciate the effort and I enjoy the process. No one else really ever sees the decorations, so I'm definitely not doing it for other people. 😂 I also typically deep clean when I remove decor and before I replace it with new decor, so that helps me out with the whole process because I am not a person who genuinely enjoys cleaning and keeps a very squared away home. Kind of that shove I need to get things accomplished.

Fall is my favorite season. I like to decorate in natural/muted fall tones. However I decorate minimally, I have a small home so in my living room/kitchen area I have only 4 places that I decorate. The entrance table, the sofa side table, my kit hen table and the top of the refrigerator, that's it. It adds the taste of fall without being too overly decorated. Of course candles on my coffee table, tv cabinet and kitchen table.
I like your minimal approach to decorating as well, I remember having my family all home and its usually a bit of chaos so the less decorations I had it seemed to not clutter my mind up also.
I am glad you shared this very honest moment with us. Life is not supposed to be perfect 😊 And you are such an authentic beautiful soul. God bless you and your family ❤

What a gentle and inviting host. I love your home, is it considered cottage? Your front door is wonderful. My decorating is minimal, switching a couple of throws out and putting some pumpkins/Fall squashes in the kitchen. Yes, I eat my decor. What I focus on are seasonal scents......so glad you introduced the candle co. 🌞FL.

I am in Florida, and it is still in the 90's, so it's kind of hard for me to get into the fall season just yet. I did purchase a small straw cinnamon scented broom to hang in my kitchen for now. I loved this video! I also have a hard time with a lot of seasonal decorating because it can feel like clutter to me - which I find easily overwhelms me. I love decorating with sugar pumpkins because I know that once I’m ready to pack up fall I purée the pumpkins for baking. 😁 it was nice to see the real life clips at the end. Your home is so beautiful and seeing the movement of your day really showed the life and warmth of your home. Have a wonderful day.
Fall is my favorite season and I enjoy decorating my home with pumpkins and florals from my garden. I also love making many things with pumpkin it just brings warmth to my home and smells so good too! Blessings to you and your family Andrea!

I decorate for the season's because here in the high desert of Central Oregon we don't have the beautiful changing colors of season's. The first day of school is my day to decorate. My kids are 8, 7 and 6 years OUT of school but it's always been my day.

I have been so sick and overwhelmed with work that I have not decorated for years. I took some time off this month and I ordered a new decorative pillow and a knit throw for a chair, a placemat to set a wooden bowl of artificial pears on a desk in the living room. I found a very beautiful knit, olive green pumpkin which I will include in the decorations. Lastly, I'm tossing some very old artificial flowers and replacing them with some gold branches.
