I'm 34 and found you while in high school and begged my parents to let me study interior design. Of course they said no so I've worked the last 15 years in accounting. Today I enrolled in interior design school bc of you. I'm addicted to symmetry, scale and quality in a room and I learned from you! Keep on posting!
As a fellow accountant, I am able to pick up a lot from Rebecca as she emphasizes symmetry. Accounting is all about balance, symmetry, and form. I would personally expect that your years in accounting will give you some foundation in design. When I went back to my school for a PhD (in accounting, of course!), that calculus that was so hard when I was an undergraduate, was so much easier. I had just spent 15 years in accounting doing "word problems"! Best wishes for your new adventure.
Congratulations Rebecca 15 years of self made content and you're still here, there isn't any TV shows that last that long, hell some marriages....points is you're still relatable and relative and that's something to celebrate. Thank you for your content and positivity.
Every time you said " Alexa" she answered in my house! Too funny! Great Video, Rebecca. I find inspiration in almost all your videos and love the way you break down all the design tips so that we can all use them in our homes.
Hi Rebecca, I’ve grown older with you - fancy that! 😂 I believe you are one of the few people on UA-cam, that I have come across, who has explained UA-cam algorithms: e.g thumbs up, notifications, ads etc. Due to this I always “like, subscribe and notify” myself for your new posts. I’ve left comments on most of your posts (positive ones) and I’ve even left all your videos playing whilst I’m off doing other things (including ads). It’s my way of reciprocity your generosity over 15 years. Congratulations BTW. PS: When I play your videos I have to wear headphones as you set off my Alexa 😂🤣
OMG -- you have the M. Bed I want soooo B-A-D-L-Y! 😍 Then the 4-chair radial grouping and that painting you moved to your kitchen...Ooooh and the window treatments soooo "UP'd" that room! 👍 FAB, indeed!... TY, RR, and Happy YT Anniversary!...Ciao
I "thumbed upped" a lot of the below comments, so what I am going to personally include is "thank you for sharing your beautiful talent!! Blessings!!!😍
No overpowering or loud or unnecessary expensive items to decorate your style is totally based on personal style that everyone can easily achieve once we learn to balance and execute thanks for sharing your home is looking awesome and cosy all the furniture placements are just perfect
Oh, how I look forward every week to hearing your design tips, and all the fun and laughter you bring with it is a bonus ❤. Here's to 15 more years (at least) on UA-cam! YOU are the best!!!
I feel sorry for the haters!! They don’t know what they’re missing out. I loved the tips you gave. You’re always so good about explaining why you do things you do. I have learned so much from you and Sharah. Im always trying to see how I can make it look better but on a budget. Slowly it’s coming together. I’m always looking for new videos I. The design sessions as well!! Lol 😂 I love everything you guys do!
Rebeca, thank you for all that you post for us. This was a wonderful video. I always feel like my house is playing after Christmas. Thanks for the chicks and tips. Please keep posting you’re the best.
You are getting prettier every year….being a grandmother really becomes you….I REALLY LOVE WHEN YOU SING….YOU HAVE A GOD GIVEN TALENT…. THANKYOU FOR EVERYTHING ….I share you with all of my friends. One thing……why why why do you turn your books backwards…..please tell people not to just have one curtain panel at the end…it drives me crazy…and when they have two windows together they don’t put a panel in the middle. You agree !!!! I love you. Hugs from carolyn in Columbus ga. I will be 70 in may…..I am like you. I shop my house before I get anything new!
Your designs are absolutely beautiful. Been following you now for years and remember some that you did for clients. Your home in this video did not disappoint either. Thanks for the tips.
I am too back in 2008 a UA-cam member. I subscribed to your channel near that year and have been following you since. I have learn a lot from your decors and designs and trully been amazed with your projects the total transformation and improvements. Cant believe that it has been almost 15 years😅
Lol! You make me smile. While watching this video. I thought to myself this woman could also do fashion videos! I love your style. And there is a good possibility of Broadway, with your singing voice and theatrics ;)
When I was as a young teenager, I had an interest in interior decorating. I stenciled my closet. I ordered a home study course, but couldn’t get into doing it on my own without classroom instruction. Since then, I continued to have a passion for it my whole life. Now at 72, I call myself a Home Decorator wanna be. Just shows, it’s best to follow your passion as it never goes away. Stick with it. And Rebeccas’s You Tube Channel is the best!!!!!
You were my very first YT interior designer and remember dreaming of incorporating your tips in my future first house and here I am, finally have a house to decorate my own. I'm taking the slow route by curating what I really want as opposed to just filling it stuff.
Rebecca, I Iove your tripod lamp! It's unique and handsome. The word you were looking for was surveyor. Surveyors measure land, locate boundaries, make maps, etc. They use those tripods to hold their transits. Purveyors sell things, including groceries, rugs, antiques, and lamps. 😊 You continue to be an inspiration. You exude such energy and enthusiasm and beauty! Thank you for boldly being yourself! ❤
There are a lot of things I don’t care for on UA-cam, but I just can’t understand why folks feel like they must say something negative when all they have to do is move on!🤷♀️ I for one am thankful for your help in making our homes beautiful. Even if your taste isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, the rules are still effective in whatever style we choose to do. You have something for everyone! Thank you for your time and effort, I appreciate you and your team!
Hi there, I have been really enjoying all of your videos. I wanted to share that I spent over a year designing a home that I love that my son wanted to build for us on his property. This was going to be my forever home and we loved the way it turned out with all black trim in lodge style home on 16 acres of property . A year later, because of many conflicts we have decided we need to leave the property and now are pretty devastated to loose my dream home. I am watching your videos now to get inspiration to move on to what I’m afraid will just be a lower level rental for awhile but hoping to be able to turn even that into a beautiful peaceful place for my husband and myself. We love to entertain and want something that is unique.
✍️Who dares to say something negative about you, about your work here on UA-cam? More than a million people who are subscribed to your channel LOVE YOUR WORK and much more your personality. I ADMIRE YOU SO MUCH REBECCA and I have respect and affection for you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy Birthday! This is my 65th year too but, I am not a fabulous UA-cam content creator. Thank you for all you do to help your fans and never stop doing what you clearly have a tremendous talent and passion for RR-Your energy is infectious!
Thank you, Rebecca! You are doing a great job. I have been doing interior design for 50 years. I noticed how little was shared by other designers in professional organizations. You share everything. Better than therapy!!!! One of your signatures: white draperies. The white out effect. So clean and wonderful. Especially with your wood/stain window casings. Perfect!
I’ve been here since 2012💚 Looked up the best way to decorate a Christmas tree, and there you were, Rebecca!! Thank you, from Queensland, Australia xxx
I have the same color pallet throughout my home and I’m the queen of moving things from room to room …especially at Christmas. I’m very visual and if my husband catches me sitting quietly ‘just looking around’ he knows something is about to get moved …as I’ve already envisioned the move 🙃. Thanks for all the great ideas 🥰
I'm so glad you came to youtube, Rebecca because your personality is so infectious and your style and design is admired by so so so many people around the world. Just the other day I was watching a popular designer and while she was teaching us about creating a door hanger, she mentioned your name as a reference point, and my jaw dropped because I thought she was famous and here she is speaking of you as a reference to what she was speaking about. I started laughing out loud like I knew you personally and I was so proud and yelled out "You better go ahead, Becky! The world knows your name"! I just love you❤ You have brought so much joy to my heart, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for being you!!!!!!!
Wow Dawn. What a nice message you have left here. I’m humbled at your kind words. Thank you so much for being such a loyal and faithful follower. Means more to me than you know. I appreciate you taking the time to leave me this comment. Hugs to you sweet Dawn 🥰 RR
@@rebeccarobeson1 Oh wow I never dreamed you respond to my comment. I know you must get thousands of comments. I'm so humbled by your response. I will always support and defend you every chance the good Lord gives me the opportunity to do so. You are indeed a rare gem in God's creation. Thank you for your beautiful response.
Rebecca, I love your spark and enthusiasm, talent and whimsy. I am a design sessions member and my home is slowly moving from comfortable to lovely. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Love your idea of having lamps that can be changed around to freshen up your look. Your book shelves look magazine ready. Me? No. I'm a reader, so my shelves are filled with books I have read. But, I do accent them with family pictures, and little trinkets, here and there, that are special to me. Love your idea about a plant service, and plan to look into it. I don't have an eye for plant placement in the open spaces in an Arizona home. Thanks for shaking up my design ideas.
Your home is beautiful. You know my Mom used to move everything around in her house, regularly, and the daughters thought is was a quirk. It’s actually brilliant. You can refresh using your own stuff. I’m having ideas! Congratulations on your 15 years!
First your home is absolutely beautiful. I agree and love shopping within your home. Changing out decor from room to room, rearranging furniture does make a room look fresh, different. And last but not least plants and window treatments, two thumbs up. Rebecca you are amazing and fabulous. Have a blessed day.
Who could hate?? Love your design and how you make it doable for real ppl. These other videos with such expensive fabrics and custom everything are just impossible for most of us. Thank you Rebecca❤
I have a tripod like that that I inherited from my father. It belonged to his father. I have taken it apart to make a lamp, but I need the creative inspiration to take the time to do it. I appreciate seeing it as a lamp because it is absolutely gorgeous and does inspire me to make the creative time for it!
I'm celebrating your 15 years on UA-cam by spending $1500 on replacing light fixtures that were never right for our home and window treatments for the master bedroom. We've lived here 15 years. It's time!
Rebecca. I think you’re so good at this. Honestly. You just get better and better. Unsubscribed when you were working with your daughter as it felt you were holding back. I now have re followed and can’t get enough of your videos. 😊
I think I have been following you for 15 years! Your daughters and sons first place, your daughters marriage and children, home in San Diego and now Tulsa. I can relate to you in many ways as I was a PK and love home design and about the same age. We moved around a lot growing up and my mother always made our house a home even though we never owned a home until I was in high school. 😃We now have homes in Maui and Oregon, which is a dream come true! I have refreshed our Maui home and looking to remodel in Oregon. We too are wondering whether to build or remodel out existing in Oregon. I will be sending you some photos from our Maui and Oregon homes. Planning to have the hour or two with you soon. Much love. ❤
💚 you Rebecca. It's a "surveyors" tripod for mounting a transit. Antique transits built of brass and cast iron are becoming obsolete, so grab the wooden tripods wherever you find them. The wooden boxes the actual transits are kept in are especially well crafted small wooden containers worth using as a tabletop accessory too. Even the transit itself is a curiosity worth displaying if you see the beauty in complicated mechanical items. I had mine on display until I did away with my library wall to avoid the dusting. 😘
I’m not sure when I started watching your videos... probably around 2009 or 2010. It doesn’t really matter because I immediately binge watched everything prior to when I found your channel! It has been such a pleasure enjoying your beautiful talents, fabulous personality and getting to know you and your lovely family all these years. Not only have you spread your joy to your clients but also consistently to over a million viewers week after week! That’s an awful lot of joy to offset the handful of cranky pants! Brava! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Congratulations on your upcoming UA-cam Anniversary/Birthday! 🎉🍾🥂💗💗💗
Hi Rebecca loved this video I have been following you for nearly all the time you have been on UA-cam we are the same age 65 years you look a lot better than me though have a lovely evening love from Ellen from England xx
Fabulous design! My only suggestion is make sure all of the first floor spaces are handicap accessible. If I have learned anything in nearly 40 years as an RN, it’s ‘Prepare For The Future Now’.
I'm 34 and found you while in high school and begged my parents to let me study interior design. Of course they said no so I've worked the last 15 years in accounting. From drab to fab. RB you are an excellent designer. First step is lighting .
You are a fabulous woman and designer. I love your home decorating style. You are a joy to watch on UA-cam.
So glad to see the added component of plants. They are a bonus texture and such variety.

Fabulous design! My only suggestion is make sure all of the first floor spaces are handicap accessible. If I have learned anything in nearly 40 years as an RN, it’s ‘Prepare For The Future Now’.
I absolutely love your design style, probably because you confirm that I’m doing everything in design right!
❤ love everything, especially that gigantic garlic 🧄😅
