Narcissists always loose in the end because they never really experience love or happiness. Unfortunately defeating or escaping a narcissist always brings with it collateral damage. The loss of family relationships of the closest kind or financial destruction that may not be recoverable come to mind. Freedom isn't free. Best to choose wisely when your young and not get into a bad situation to begin with. ( Advice to a much younger me)
THANK YOU! Whenever I have a chance to talk to a younger me I tell them to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL about who you date, marry especially! They can destroy your life. And leave you hollowed out and sick in your heart head and body. I know from experience. If someone had only told me! But way back then I don't think I ever even heard the handle " narcissist." They're everywhere now though!
@tracytinnon2988 I'm sorry you have suffered from the abuse of a narcissist. I know it's hard to look back on all those wasted years. I think about it all the time. It's a shame the information about these monsters wasn't available many years ago. Like you I had no understanding of what a narcissist was or how they could totally change and destroy every aspect of a person's life.
They all end up lose while think they still won.

I remember a story about this husband and wife who were both attorneys in Orange County, California who framed this teacher because she had said their son was “a little slow,” meaning he didn’t come to the curb right away to be picked up. Just over this _one_ innocent comment, these two ATTORNEYS put this teacher through HELL, planting drugs in her car and getting her arrested by the police. They had EVERYTHING and threw it all away over this comment. Only now that I’ve had direct contact with a malignant narcissist, do I finally understand this level of INSANITY.
Something my ex narc was capable of doing. We were very careful about what we spoke in his earshot, afraid of his vengeance and vindictiveness
Several months ago, a relative intervened with my grandfather to steal a portion of the inheritance she left for her grandchildren. It was done in a sly, uneventful manner where one would miss it if they weren't paying attention. I witnessed the conversation where this relative brokered the deal to steal money from the rest of us. A few days after my grandmother's funeral service, this relative called me to reiterate the deal she struck with my grandfather. She called me irate two days after this to try to have me cover her tracks after doing this. Two days after that, after she told other relatives that she didn't actually work to steal the money, denying that the conversation ever happened, she sent two long text messages confirming that she did arrange to steal the funds. Rather than responding to her, I have the messages on my phone and took a screenshot of them. Several relatives besides myself have also had enough of her, so they began distancing themselves one by one. Now, she is working through other family members to prod me to renew the relationship.
They will cut their nose to spite their face. It's TRUE. My ex narc just shut his nascent law office and left the country leaving huge debts in his wake, ostensibly because I had become a believer and left the RC church. But as I later learnt, he had lost his pathological narcissistic space owing to his bludgeoning of the same church over a sexual molestation by a priest. He has rejected by the largely catholic community and responded by sabotaging his own career. 20 yrs later, his legal practice was again in the doldrums and he chose to leave the country again with new supply, a former divorce client. This time, I won't take him back, hoover or not. But I'm left to deal with the messy business of the divorce.
Why do i always think one day my ex will understand?
As much gray rock as I've done i still think one day i will be able to get through to her what she has done😢
This belief holds you back. You’re not dealing with a normal person and we all have to come to the realization… you’re dealing with a personality disorder… it’s like trying to understand a serial killer… it’s just not going to happen… best to you ❤

❤ hello rebecca thank you for sharing had to take th to court using thier kids as ponds calling people untrue acusations and lots of rumours in the neighborhood where I live in same apt complex as them and manager does nothings but says please dont call the police I said no and toldanagement if you keep taking their side I will take you to court for harassment and in dangerment for an elderly disabled lady

I believe she practices in Florida and California…. Another great resource for finding an attorney who specializes in high conflict / narc litigation is One Mom’s Battle. They have attorney recommendations in your state that they have vetted. Best to you ❤

Never try and negotiate by yourself with the narcissist. Find a good lawyer, go no contact and force him to go only through your lawyer. Try and get as much evidence as you can. Never tell them what you have on them. If you can stay at somebody else's house like a good friend that's a good option too. This will help break the cycle of abuse. Do not allow him to embroil you in Long conversations via text email or phone. They will try and take excerpts out of that and use it against you. So when I say no contact I mean not a single word. Everything goes through your lawyer. Any messages he sends you keep but don't answer. I hope this helps you I went through hell for 2 years but I made it to the end. This is what I did and it made a big difference. Do not let him goad you into losing your Temper.

My daughter hasn’t spoken to me for several years now! I’m always trying to get her to speak to me but she never does. I feel stressed & done since she stole money from selling our house of $780,000.! This isn’t a small amount & I need my money to LIVE!!!! I believe this is the reason she doesn’t contact me & I’m out in the cold wondering how LONG she’s going to do this eg Forever??? So I am the one that’s texting her to get what is mine! We’ve supported her ALL her life & gave her everything she wanted including her 4 children!!!! What do I do???
This is really hard but you have to let it all go _ don't go back_ sodium and gomorrah_ Lots wife turned around to go back and was turned into a slab of concrete_ your choice _ but your not a park bench _ your a child of God that's been scapegoated.If this Lawyer has no advice for u _ in my experience _ best to let it go for your sanity and health. I've waisted years of my life believing in narcs _ there's nothing to believe unless you're an Alice in Wonderland _ which was me for many years.
Sadly, often it's the ones that we've helped, supported & given so much to that they then go on to thinking that they're entitled to take what they want from us.
It's like they mistake our kindness for weakness. Having 4 children comes with a lot of financial obligation & your daughter no doubt feels that she can use the money she stole from you to lessen the financial stress from herself. She probably figures that taking care of her kids supersedes the fact that it's not rightfully her money to do with as she pleases.
I'd be taking your daughter to family court. They deal with financial abuse cases like this on a daily basis.
