- On this video I install the puddle lights and turn signal lights for sequential ones. Do at your own risk! Mirror glass breaking probability is very high!

My '24 aspec puddle lights went out 3 weeks after I got it. Thought the internet claims were overblown but sadly not. Dealer warranty for now but it's great to see how replacement works. Thank you for the video!

@Hondamobilemechanic I can't seem to make my own comment but are these new pilot lights still working? I am asking because I have a black edition and got mine replaced this past September and my passenger is dying. So seems like the new puddle lights are still an issue. Are there any aftermarket products? Maybe those will last longer...
@@maxiiimus2165 mine are going on 8 months but I’ve made some changes to them and so far seems like they are working. Most definitely can still fail but seem to be doing way better. No aftermarket options.

Thanks for providing the part #s for the puddle lights, my dealer will replace them under warranty & use the Honda puddle lights that I’m bringing in & giving me the crappy Acura ones 😆 They’re going in the trash.
The pilot ones can still fail although they seem to have a better track record. I apply dialectic geese on connector and clear vinyl to lens.

Awesome!!!!!!! Love the sequential idea!!!!! However I don’t think the puddle lights will last. The issue with mine was the mirror assembly actually holds water. When the Acura techs disassembled mine about 100mL of water poured out.
Wow, that’s a ton of water. I was thinking something along those lines although I didn’t see any signs of water. If they do stop working again then maybe a drainage hole will be made by me. Keep ya posted.
@@BCautosolutions A drainage hole sounds like a great idea. I'd get out my Dremel and make one if I know a safe place to drill it.

Why not just put some silicone on the led housing and power connector no Dremel needed.🤷♂️

@@BCautosolutions sounds good! and do you think if I bring the honda pilot mirror lights to acura they would replace them? Since one of my lights are failing, it would be covered under warranty but im not sure if they would do it since its not an Acura part

Have you thought about changing the mirrors so it has the auto dimming feature. I think the advance TLX comes with them
No, but even if possible, would cost a ton of money with harness changes and control unit

Both still working it’s been well over a month. Also all the ones that I know of are still working as well. Will do a updated short on them soon.

@@toshi_t2m the white is so much better, kind of disrespectful Acura went with soft white but it is what it is. The pilot ones are on backorder but I have 5 sets on order so hopefully soon 🙏🏻
@@BCautosolutions agree, a lot of stuff was left out from the TLX Type-S that should have been added (360° camera, white LED on vanity mirror, std. heated steering wheel, digital instrument panel, rear door sills, …). But even without those I love this car, looks, how it handles, and the color (Tiger Eye).

What’s your opinion as a mechanic of the Kia stinger Gt2? Do you think it will be reliable, and if it’s hard to say do you think the 10 year warranty can excuse any foreseeable issues it could have? Also want to hear if you considered it in comparison to the type s?
I think at the end of the day it’s still a Kia and reliability should be a concern (I know they have made great strides). Same thing goes for the type S tho, a lot of “firsts” for the car so we shall see. 10 year warranty is nice for sure but all that goes down the drain once modding starts which most people in this segment end up doing. At the end of the day, get the car that makes YOU happy 👍🏻
I leased a '19 Stinger GT2 and at least for the 3 years I had it, it was totally trouble free. Well, except for the pilot sports up front wearing extremely quickly. Only "issues" I had were a rattle in the sunroof and some rattles in the dash which are common to the Stingers and G70s since they're the same platform

Still going, although I saw one flicker the other day 🥴. Better then my few days that the original ones lasted. I’ll make a video if/when they fail.

If there are puddle lights and turn signal lights, absolutely
If you have a Canadian spec rdx I believe aspec or above the puddle lights should work

It’s off a 23 Honda pilot. I provided part numbers in the video along in the description of the video. I have 4 sets in order as they are in national backorder around the country at this time with the surge of everyone buying them.

Yes they are but 2-3 have failed. Mine are still solid

Yes and yes. The puddle lights can still fail although the seems to be fairing a lot better vs the tlx ones.
