      The best way to own a car is to drive it into the ground. Keep that baby around if she's doing her job. We have a 08' Accord and it's been great besides some problems from being in the Florida heat all day and few issues from being a first year. All covered under warranty though. Do you have the 2.4L Inline-4 or the 3.3L V6?

    Yeah, so I have had the 2021 tlx aspec awd since its release
    I've had the fakra adapters replaced three times. Clicking sound when accelerating went away and then would come back after a couple months. The third time, they found multiple loose ground connections when replacing the entire harness. At 7,000 miles, the steering rack needed to be replaced. Then, the rear differential was leaking at axle at 15,000 miles. Brakes, good luck. Tech told me they put to small pads and rotors, so basically, at 7,000 miles, I need new rotors/ pads. I will get pulsing in steering wheel when braking off highway and brakes will start to squeek at low speeds if it is started after sitting for 30 min. Everything has been good besides the acura airbag recall which keeps popping up in acura app. Brought it in and was told the part is currently being produced. Puddle lights though have been good after three replacements. Its been a year and both are working.

      Have they done the extended run for the FARKA the last time they replaced them? And damn, it sounds like you got an early production vehicle, glad to hear you finally have everything sorted out.

      @Terruu16 After 3 fakra replacements I just kept recording videos of it crackling. They finally agreed to replace harness. While replacing they found the lose grounds. They said they made sure when installing the harness there was enough slack by the fakra. It hasn't crackled since wire harness replacement.

    Happy with my 2018 V6 ASpec. I LOVE the look and feel of the new gen but after driving one for a week while mine was in for the crankshaft recall, I was thrilled to get mine back. Biggest issue was that the 4-banger gets abysmal fuel economy compared to my V6.

      @TastyRides  6 місяців тому +2

      Honda/Acura is reliable, but the first year of any new generation for any automaker is bound to have issues. Would agree that more electronics does not equal more better but this car in 2022-2023 and the new 2024+ mid-cycle refresh have been super reliable from what I've heard from other TLX owners

      @@TastyRides Even beyond the first model year, the Civic and Integra have been having numerous issues. From build quality (leaking hatch, valve cover gasket leaks) to a recall and another NHTSA investigation pending on the steering rack alone. A large number of owners being left with rentals for months with no end in sight.
      With Acura moving away from the touch-pad touchscreen interface in the future, it's unlikely they're interested in fixing anymore issues that might pop up. I wouldn't bother with them

There’s a lot of really great answers to the questions you have in the forums online… Look around for them. I can’t mention the websites by name or this post will probably get deleted. Are those issues fixed for the 2023 tlx Aspec model? Especially the brakes. Also what aftermarket interior LED lighting do you recommend because the stock is not very bright and I would like something that is not a pain in the ass to install and is brighter and looks overall better.

    • @MurderMostFowl
      @MurderMostFowl Місяць тому

      You can control the brightness in the “ vehicle settings” when the car is in park. I mean it’s not going to get crazy bright, but you have to decide what looks good to you. The TLX is going to lean towards subtle and actually useful rather than bold. If you want something that looks like ground effects in the car, get a civic SI and embrace a much much larger aftermarket

      It’s a popular Jeremy Clarkson quote “Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.” I’m not encouraging anyone to go speed if you do not know how to handle your car or know the exact conditions of the road you’re on. That’s what tracks are for. And my accident was from a medical emergency and I don’t have a ticket from it or anything on my driving record

      He's correct. Speed has never killed anyone. It's how fast you come to a stop. If earth were to crash into another planet going in our direction it would be the end of everything you know. Just physics.

    I had a 2021 TLX aspec, I also had some issues with the speakers having a crackling sound on the driver side. a creaking sound above the rear seats in the roof. Apple carplay would sometimes freeze and disconnect randomly. The screen would sometimes reboot randomly as well. Had it for a year and 10k miles and traded it in. Be sure and look at the recalls for the 2020… I think there have been a couple. If you have the 4cyl Turbo, be very gentle and give the car at least a 5 min easy driving medium speed warmup up before you do any heavy acceleration. And give it about the same for a cool down. And be aggressive about changing the oil. Replacing the turbo will run you about $3k with labor. I bought a 21 TLX and had a similar experience with the brakes. Had the car on adaptive cruise and the car in front put on brakes hard. My car braked hard enough to scare me , as there was a car on the side of the road stopped. My lane keep made the steering wheel wobble and the car came to a complete stop. My brakes recently have been a bit louder again, the electro servo system. I'm not sure why but brake pressure feels fine? The assistance features do scare me from time to time. The LKAS in this and my old 19' Honda CR-V can get finicky and it gets annoying thinking I'm not driving straight because it sees a jagged line or tire marks. Major thing I had for a while is auto start stop stopped working but I think it may have been from jumping a co-workers car. Recently did an oil change at Valvoline and I guess when they tested my battery they charged it and it's back to normal. Only thing not working right now is puddle lights but I haven't bothered. I think there might be a misunderstanding about the warranty: this model has a four-year 48,000 mile factory bumper-to-bumper warranty. Just because it is Acura certified doesn’t mean that warranty goes away and gets replaced with new terms , there may be an additional benefits from the CPO warranty extension, but the original warranty transfers to the new owner. Now, of course we’re coming up to the end of 2024 so you might not have much original warranty left (the date starts on the day the car was originally sold to the first owner which of course could be sometime in 2020 even )
    But don’t hesitate to use that warranty… The only thing that doesn’t transfer is the rust warranty .
    You should be absolutely aggressive about getting that stuff fixed.

    Why would you buy a used car from a dealer that states they have a 180 point inspection(probably never happened) that stipulates you cant sue for a lemon within the 30 days that they will fix whatever issue presents itself??? If they are scared of that liability, there is a reason for it!

    • @TastyRides
      @TastyRides  6 місяців тому

      Honda Certified Pre-Owned at all dealerships have a 182-point Inspection "Multi-Point Inspection", it's apart of the program for them to try and sell more used vehicles because of their warranty is extended to vehicles with higher mileage. The 30-day period is for returning the vehicle or dealership having to repair all issues being apart of lemon law protections. They way I said it made it seem more dramatized but that's a standard practice. Now I would've liked it if the brake booster worked perfectly after I took it out on the road the first few weeks but it seems to be something that went bad after words as the brake pressure was fine when I first drove it off the lot, it works fine now.

      I mean why wouldn’t you? You take the car to a separate mechanic afterwards and if they find anything wrong it’ll be covered.
      Also you can beat on the car the first 30 days to see if something is about to go out and get it covered.
