I too just watched the movie. It's a shame that I didn't knkw this story until now so many years later but better late than never. I'm a navy desert storm veteran. When I was in boot camp our commander got us in the day room and he started saying every racial slur for every race and we were starting to get really angry. Then he said I don't ever want to hear these words again in my Navy! And it stuck with me as a way to live my life. I was blown away by the courage and tenacity and determination these women had with a brilliant leader who wasn't afraid to stand up to adversity and fight for her troops. God bless these wonderful women.
Wow! I watched the movie, cried, laughed and educated. Never knew about another extraordinary history of African American; especially African American women. They all was so braved.

This was such an emotional movie for me, in a good way. Salute to LTC Adams and 6888 Battalion! LTC Adams and I have the same Alma Mater, Wilberforce University! What an honor!
This was a unit of Black American women who identified as Negro….stop trying to spread credit around to other nationalities that had nothing to do with the accomplishments of this unit of Black American women. Even the mixed race woman in TP film called herself a Negro meaning she identified as black….folks in the always trying to jump on the bandwagon trying to hijack black American accomplishments! There were no Asians in this unit as they were internment camps or fighting with white folks! I am speaking truth to facts!
