Amen, Amen and Amen… we need a Fannie Mae Holiday!!!! I love you, I’m so humble by your fight for me, our people and this country.. you are my true hero…Thank you auntie Fannie Mae Lou Hamer, what a sacrifice….
I told my brother this exact same thing. To be honest she took a beating in jail that deserves to be bigger than MLK’s story!! How she survived it makes me truly believe in a higher power.
This was an excellent documentary. I’m glad that Fannie Lou Hamer is finally beginning to get the recognition she deserves 💕 I’m so grateful for the sacrifices she made for our people. She’s a beautiful hero!!!
No you don’t! Move on up a little higher. She did her part. That entire generation and many of their children did their part. The problem now is the people have lost their way, corrupted by lying leaders. ‘ When iniquity abounds the love of many grows cold.’
What a jubilant woman, madam Fannie was, she went a lot of pain just to free her people from ruleville, including Caucasian and black citizens. Although, the congressional tried to no avail, to annual her winning streak and intelligence to circumvent the Nazis democracy in Mississippi, but she should have kept her faith by not calling them racist, because that was blind acceptance to something wretched that they kept as secret against everyone, including the police, and the black cactus, in political power struggle with American politicians with power broker in both sides to put the vote to test in preparation for the Vietnam invasion. To God be the Glory, things have changed slightly, in the pentagon, but the new black NASA have story to tell new generation in the fraternity group joining the police force, and have caused a deadly attack of a man brutally beaten and left to die in hospital. It beggars belief, to assume that they due the dirt to curb, racial disharmony, and protest in community at loggerhead with the police force because of past issues. May her kind memory be blessed, for future generation to be able to think carefully about these events in the past, in Mississippi and how they shape policies, in government agencies at present.
Fannie Lou Hamer is one of my heroes. This lady was fearless---she could have been killed for her civil rights work. She didn't let that stop her. I couldn't finish watching this documentary (it was just too heartbreaking) but thank you for posting it anyway.
YAHUAH PLEASE HELP US I KNOW WE WE HAVE TERRIBLY MADE U UPSET PLEASE FORGIVE US AND HELP US PLEASE YAHUAH FORGIVE US YOUR US RETURN SOON ANGRY WE HAVE TO LIVE BY YOUR LAW COMMANDMENTSTATUES I NEED TO BE YOUR CHILD U LOOKING FOR HELP HELP ME I NEED YOUR HOLY SPIRIT HELP HELP ME WHATEVER I HAVE DONE PLEASE FORGIVE ME LORD LORD
I was 36 when I heard of Fannie Lue, I’m 38 now and from Louisiana. That’s sad🙄. But thanks to social media my 16 year one niece will know her name✊🏾✊🏾
Fannie Lou Hamer, was a woman who had a fighting spirit against injustice. She spoke truth to power. The white establishment , when she was jailed got a Black informant to beat her. Yes he did beat her but her spirit wasn't broken. "We who believe in freedom shall not rest" Sweet Honey And the Rock. Rest In Eternal Peace, Our Queen Fannie Lou Hamer.
He was not a black informant he was a black mail inmate & he said if u don't do it I will do it to you & worse or somethinglikethat. Listen @ 28:30-28:37
She wasn't broken, by the Idea of black power, a new front ideology, for innocent blacks turned into a militant, she had already decided on what to do to counterbalance, her goals if she was denied of democratic wins, and seat in the senate assembly. It could never work that way.. Black power is an opposition to Nazis racist ideology, and she made it vehemently clear that it doesn't involve non-black. This country is the lord's doing, the truth be told, those babies being eaten by rats, is something I don't understand.
Politics is about making rational judgement about yourself, first of all. Education is important in building to the frame of mind, that would be well nurtured by your peers.. Lot's of people are gifted, with these knowhow, but applying it constructively, is where the footprint, attenuates their crowd. Moreover, it is important to respect the law, by appointing a lawmaker to guide your political interests, and dialogue with the opposition in win-win decision making that would bring progress to both parties. If as she drumming into the ears of the leaders, those representative of ministers would have no choice but to demote her efforts, because the pain she was feeling could be clearly seen on her face. She didn't have a therapist to assist her, such as travelling out of the country, going on holidays to relax her mind, and have fun. Those with powerful minds, were quick to call her ignorant because of her offensive style, in managing her deep feelings, and being left alone by black political elites to handle her constituency with the Nazis democratic party, that have proven their killing of black leaders from so called poor community, and communist agitators. It's sad, that every state is left to make a difference from the rest, and on their own.. Nothing as changed, wealth combined with knowledge is the order of the day, and nothing as changed from then until now in all developed nations. Those who reach out are only being helpful, but to empower a nazi party, after the second war world, that is a long bidding for common sense.
She tried her best, but could she defeat the devil? I doubt it. Playing fire, for fire achieve no tangible result, but only the wise understand that being black or white wasn't a mistake, but blessings. Disabled people didn't bargain to be born without limps, what do you expect then to do, with extreme anger or in civil wars? Those communities forcefully pushed to o live at the ground of potentially active volcano, and to whom do they run to, when the lava of fire rolls down on their properties? Education is vital supplement for well being, and skills learned is fun for survival. Great America, preparing the challenges for next generation, black power activists carrying guns killing each other. She would have set up a school for the upcoming generation. It's never too late to improve the living conditions. Finally, it's a shame that they didn't appoint a personal doctor for her, to attend to her high level blood pressure. She has spoken.
@2:07 gives me chills every time I hear her say it!! They fought so hard to keep her from being senator but my God in the hearts of our people she is senator Fannie Lue Hamer✊🏾✊🏾

I love Fannie Lou Hammer, I'm waiting on the movie of her life story, this woman has given me so much courage and inspiration, and she fought for our children and families. It's an honor to hear her voice and hear the stories, parents please let your children hear Fannie's story and always tell your children the truth because our children's schools are not gonna tell our children the other evil of how we were treated. Hello to all of you from South Carolina.❤️💯🙏🏾
One of my heroes!!! I love what she told another one of my heroes Adam Clayton Powell lol!!! It didn’t surprise me at all what Roy Wilkins told Mrs Hamer, he was something else. This documentary was beautiful. I wish they included how she used to wear the white folks clothes that she work for and stuff lol. Mrs Hamer was always a “rebel”. One of the greatest human beings to ever grace this earth 👑💯🙌🏾🔥❤️!!!
My Mother was a Civil Rights activist Fannie Lou was her Best Friend She was a Frequent guest in our House What did a White woman from Canada and a black woman from Mississippi have in Common ? A strong mutual Belief in Social Justice
Lord have mercy! Help us! I saw my very first Field of Cotton, 2024 in Georgia... And I'm an Early Boomer! Raised in Texas. seeing those cotton fields all over the place and I know the brutal feel of the plant with the soft top that grew Nations... I don't know how my Ancestors survived. We are indeed...A Very Strong Peoples!!! Thank you for this Broadcast on Fannie Lou Hamer's Life...and the so Positive message contained here on 'The Struggle' to realize Our Humanity!!!
Mrs. Fannie Lou was a fearless, smart, wise, and strong leader. And a great orator. She told the truth concening what was going on in Mississippi and America. What an awesome leader. She will never be forgotten and her words will live forever. I love you Mrs. Fannie Lou. And thank you for your service for mankind.
When I see things like this it continues to give me the strength to go on with sometimes this battle called life knowing what the ancestors went through that the most high will definitely get us through
Mrs. Hamer such a strong WOMAN she was given the spirit to be who she was . Iam crying as i write this . My mother didnot talk to much of her life in Louisiana she stuggle and going to chicago to the ghettos it was not good either. We have alot of history we still donot know. My favorite script Ephesians 6 putting on the whole amour of GOD and let me tell u they did. Iam just GLAD our history is coming out. Her words I AM SICK OF BEING SICK AND TIRED. GREAT DAY THE RIGHTEOUS MARCHING GREAT DAY
❤ An amazing woman 👠 her work is remembered by every Black 🐈⬛ person in this country! You are a special 💗 and spiritual woman that. passed on the 🖤 Black struggle to this next generation! God is blessing your beloved 🙏 and people who know 💟 you and. who continue to. keep your strong spirit of fighting this racist America. sometimes called " Babylon"
My question is.... how can every black person remember this so notably lady if they haven t been shown her story ?This should be thought in every day school yes every one of them private and mostly poblic school ,no more lies splease we are sic and tired of bean sic and tired.period...
All I could say was "My God, My God " after hearing what she went through. These people were strong and brave African Americans. So, proud to stand on there shoulders. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💜💯🙏🏼
A powerful , courageous lady. How it was. Her legacy lives on. My mother remembers driving up from the South from Florida with her parents. She still can still recall what she remembers about the stop she & her late parents had to make in Northern Florida. They acknowledged the local African Americans in the town. The local white population was outraged emy late grandparents acknowledged them. The whole town knew they were outsiders pasing through going up to Chicago.
This is one of the bravest, strongest, & courageous woman of truth I've seen. I am so thankful for this film she left. This is one of my best black history lessons I've had. She puts me to mind, so much of Harriett Tubman, with her strength & character, and both been touched by God, and we all know Harriet's struggle was far greater. But in my lifetime Mrs.Fannie Lou Hamer was one remarkable woman. What even amazes me more about her only working as a sharecropper, and 8th grade education but she could speak circles, around the President, or any in the Senate. She had God's Truth, in her, yes indeed. And it got me thinking, of Agriculture, is how she got it, because Agriculture is God's field. God has His way of doing things, to turn what was meant to be bad to Good. When I thought of that 300 bales of cotton that beautiful little girl was forced to do daily, up to adult, God was kissing her, blessing her, preparing her for her destiny. "Bow down and worship Him", doesn't always mean on knees. All those 300 years our ancestors were bowing over in fields, picking cotton, singing hymns, this was for God, and He heard everyone of them, and He blessed everyone of them. That's why you see so much talent in black ppl, generational blessings, the blessings of Abraham. That's why Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer endured that horrific baton body beating even a dog couldn't have, and we saw her walking with a strong, stout body, and speaking fluently with knowledge of government & rights, and just pure, sound, good common sense. You got to know all that came from God. I only wish I had known more about Mrs. Hamer's life, while she was alive, and met her, if nothing more, but to shake her hand. I remember seeing her on TV, briefly, some years back, as an activist, but I had no idea who she was then. I have cried several times during this film, of her telling what our ancestors went through, and what she went through from a little girl, to adult. Esp, when the cruel plantation owner tricked her to pick 30bales of cotton, for food, but his motive was only to test her strength, and the next day she had to pick 300bales. I had to pause right there to cry. Seeing a 6yr old picking 300bales is unimaginable. Slavery, racism, prejudice, white superiority all of that is all unimaginable to me. It's hard to imagine how a human being can have a mindset to think they're better than another human being. Who fed them that lie? We were just not raised like that. We were raised on love, to love everybody, all races. We were no better than no one else, and no one else were better than us, either. That's how God made this world. Everyone is equal, and we didn't need to read the Constitution to know that, we read the Bible, and saw this beautiful world God created, and used common sense to know God was telling everyone "I made all this for you all, be happy in it, work it, love everybody". And when we did those things we saw how God blessed us. As the famous rapper Tupac said, in one of his songs, "All you gotta do is SEE". And we could feel God's love for us, all around us just by seeing His beautiful world He made complete with everything we needed, to thrive and survive, and also through the loving care, of the parents, He chose to be our mama and daddy. All that ties together as God,'s beautiful gift, to us. And we don't take that for granted, or God. But someone had to throw a wrench in the engine, with a lie, and try to mess up God's plans. But God everytime turns a bad move, to a good move. Mrs.Fannie Lou Hamer will forever be remembered and probably sitting close by God, with Harriett Tubman✌️♥️🙏🌹🎶🏆💯
Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer is truly an inspiration and a powerhouse. We are grateful for her unwavering dedication to fighting against racism. Thank you, Mrs. Hamer, for your incredible work. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer revealed Mississippi as the beating heart of America 🇺🇸. And it's still beats today 2025 with every organ of each U.S. State keeping racism alive. Mrs. Hamer is one of my sheros. I pray to have her courage and advocate spirit. Keep her stories alive. ❤
I remember when I was a kid we all use to sing this song not know what it mean or where it came from we just made a game out of this song ,years later I'm just now learning the meaning of this song
I never heard of her, but I'll never forget her, and I have the utmost respect for her. God used her to do so much for people of color and others. I cried while watching this documentary. It's sad that things haven't changed much since then. Thank you so much for sharing her story. I will share this with many others. There are factions today in our congress trying to get rid of the voting act today. But, by the grace of God, it won't happen.
This is my first time of hearing about this Sheroe and her courage is amazing and she pierced my soul! I can feel her powerful energy and I get chills! Power be upon you Queen Fannie Lou Hamer!
When I look at the resilience of our ancestors I have never complained. My grandmother started picking cotton at 8 years old in Arkansas. I used to listen to these same type of stories. These were the real unsung heroes of the south. Our children don’t know the half of some of the greatest black leaders that ever lived. I’ve always said there were more than Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King. One way that we can educate the new generation is outside of the white man’s education is through homeschooling. If you don’t want to homeschool the children at least spend some extra time educating your child in the home. Don’t let them give our babies one month of black history, our history should be taught every day.
outstanding , Fanny u were a true soldier , we so need you now in todays times ,cause fanny they still don't care ,and we lost the drive and love to fight for all people and or people the jails are the new plantations they just throwing young men and women away and the killing just won't stop but because its not there kids dying no one cares , thank u Fanny rest in heaven Mama I learned a lot today (Blessings Queen )!!!!!! in ur words ( that's what they saying ) !!!!
My mother took me in the ballot machine with her when I was six years old and when I turned 18 years old I went and voted for the first time and never stopped. 💜💯😀
I truly am inspired and love the courage of Fannie Lou Hamer. My outspoken mother and grandfather are also from the Mississippi Delta region, and like Fannie Lou Hamer, they are not afraid of white racists and are not cowardly and fake like so many other Black Southerners. Both Fannie Lou Hamer and U.S. Supreme Court Justice called the NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of CERTAIN People, mainly pseudo-bourgeois upper middle class Black Uncle Tom (i.e., Roy Wilkins) and Aunt Jemima sellouts. Her signature quotation, "We are sick and tired of being sick and tired," is true in 2024. Amerikkka is still the "Land of the [judicial and political lynching] TREE and home of the GRAVE for Blacks.
YAH bless her, her mother and grandmother's and father and grandfather's. Beautiful , formidable Yashar'el. Sons and daughters of Zion. Wherever we are scattered. Our redemption draws nigh. HalleluYAH. APTTMHY 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
I got to say for as an American Black Woman I didn’t know very much about Frankie Lou but this spoke to me strongly, I’m proud to have seen this to learn more about my people. May the lord bless us in this world like it did for Frannie Lou and that we don’t stop fighting.
OURstory has so much emotions. Definitely downloaded this. Our history is always taken, erased n whiytewashed. This info is downloaded for the purpose of re-educating our ppl of our glory ,strides n accomplishments
This was truly powerful! A very well put together documentary telling the life and struggles of a great Black woman and child of the Most High God. Thank you, World Productions, for this piece. I had heard of Mrs. Hamer, but never this in-depth or to this extent. I truly appreciate your presenting this to the UA-cam community and to the world, for our knowledge and inspiration. May God bless all who participated in this collaborative work as you go forward doing even more good for mankind.
The history goes on. There are so many we will never hear about. They know there will be a day when that treatment then, nor today, will not be tolerated. Someday.
her story should be as big as m.l.k. tel the babies !!!!
THATS RIGHT

I’m just speechless. I’m so glad I found this channel. In a world of “woke-shaming,” and whitewashing, the truth still shines.

Ok ,ok,ok...its our duty to let them know the hidden thrut.
My mother was born in Cook County Hospital raised in Evanston.
As an African American thank you Mrs.Fannie Lou Hamer
🇺🇸🌍

National Association of the Advancement of Certain People yes,ma'am
Thank you for watching.
Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer is truly an inspiration and a powerhouse. We are grateful for her unwavering dedication to fighting against racism. Thank you, Mrs. Hamer, for your incredible work. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾

It's crystal clear, when your employer refuses to pay your salary by stealing your sweat. God punishes them himself. Lol
I might of learned about her but for some good reason she shining to the top never forget
Thank God for Mrs Fannie Lou Hamer. FEARLESS‼️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
It’s eerie 5:44 aspects of her speech could apply to today.
History isn't just history but a reflection of what is happening today.
Always ❤️ Love 🕊️🙏🏽
These are FACTS😢
Thank for people like you ❤️
She was a freedom fighter. I love This woman. She wanted the best for us.
We love her too! Thanks for watching.
Brillliant and it suitably honours a remarkable woman
This lady is an American hero, yet I'd not heard of her until now.
Thanks for posting this film!
She is certainly one of our heroes. Thanks for watching!
Peace and respect to the ancestor!
Thank you for sharing this historic woman. Thank You Lord for her life and journey, which helped paved the way for me
I remember when I was a kid we all use to sing this song not know what it mean or where it came from we just made a game out of this song ,years later I'm just now learning the meaning of this song
Thank you. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt response to this film. It is one of the many reasons we do this work.
GOD knows 🙏🏽
Set yourself free, ask for help.
LOVE THAT WOMAN. RIP.
"If I hate you because you hate me, I'm no better than you are"!!

One Of My Day One Hero's ✊
Mother of Humanity ❤ Luv u Ms. Fannie
Those days was sad that's why God changed things
her voice is the reason why the Anglo Empire will never have a foundational black American ever be president of the US
My mother took me in the ballot machine with her when I was six years old and when I turned 18 years old I went and voted for the first time and never stopped. 💜💯😀
What a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching the film.

More courage than most men I know .
The history goes on. There are so many we will never hear about. They know there will be a day when that treatment then, nor today, will not be tolerated. Someday.
