As a Slovak my opinion might be biased but I've been to Himalayas (in both Tibet and Nepal), Patagonia (in both Argentina and Chile), Peruvian Andes, Rockies, Tyrolean Alps, Dolomites... and you can't deny the imposing, sometimes even otherworldly and surreal beauty of these places. But High Tatras, despite being smaller have a different kind of charm, more like postcard-type beauty. I'm glad you liked the trip.
Totally agree with you! And wow, your list looks impressive!! 😯! The length of the Andes and the Dolomites are definitely on our list, but yeah, the High Tatras are just special! Tatry Zapadne & Belianske, too! It's just such a beautiful ecosystem right in the centre of Europe. It's hard to put into a category or even make comparisons. The Tatras are in a category of their own! Funnily enough, I'm not that drawn to the Himalayas. I'd rather explore the hiking trails of Spain, Romania and Croatia first. However, we'll always be returning to the Tatras, and the Slovakian part is one we have yet to explore more. I'm jealous you're from there! All the best!
@@somewhere_crowdlessThanks. If I may recommend another place it would be Slovenian (not Slovakian) Triglav national park in the Julian Alps. If you're heading to Croatia, Slovenia is just across the border and it might be worth a small detour.
Awwwww such a sweet comment! Thanks for tuning again. We really appreciate it 😊! You'd absolutely love the Tatras, and I'd love to be your guide there! It'll happen👌😉💙♥️
LOVE LOVE LOVE your introductions - I had no idea the Tatras were so modest relatively speaking, though not in scenery. Its taken me a couple of weeks but Im finally alone in the house on a Sunday evening, watching this with a cup of warm milk tea! Your finger makes a very effective pointer! I have to say Pato, at @6:32, that reminds me of myself going downhill- its pretty scary tbh, its a narrow ledge yous are walking although the trail itself looks like a modest slope despite the altitude. Youre so generous with your knowledge Pookie, so willing to share and that's a beautiful thing! Cant wait to be there with yous. Watching this is like coming home to you my loves!!! XXXXX
Bellissimo video👏🏻 and also very interesting much appreciated by those like you who love walking and hiking, in Slovakia I've only been to Bratislava I'll have to fix it...
Thanks for watching! Yeah, there's so much more to Slovakia than just the capital! The country is practically 90% mountainous! It's beautiful. So is Poland...although Poland is 90% flat, haha!
@@somewhere_crowdless unfortunately I've never been to Poland ... among other things, I have Polish friends who live near my house who keep recommending me to visit it
