Just as I was about to get rid of my cards from the past 50 years, you give us a great video. My brain is already working as I think I can take our wedding cards and insert pictures of the guests! Most have passed away but their signature is on the card so I probably match whos who! I can do same with the shower card ....at the time, my sister took a picture of every gift received and wrote in the card the gift so it will be a challenge to match the gifts since we got married 48 years ago this December!! Interesting binding can't wait to try it!!! BTW the back of the cards are excellent for stamping on!! Thanks for a wonderful idea!

What a wonderful way to reduce and recycle your greeting cards. Before my mother passed away 😢she wrote a series of stories to my son about her memories as she was growing up. She wrote about every day events, taking the trolly car to town or going to the Soulard market in St Louis. Your video has given me the perfect vehicle to preserve this small bite of history created by a family member who is no longer living. TFS your beautiful talents with us. Your friend in the Missouri Ozarks, USA 🇺🇸.

Natasha, this is so exciting! I want to tell you that 3 years ago you were my introduction to the JJ world. I’m so thankful that my foundation was built on your work. Not only are you extremely talented, but your eye for detail and professional tailoring are what sets you apart from ALL the others. Thank you so much for the teachings and inspiration you so freely give us. I’m honored to say I learned from the best❣️

My thoughts are that you are just an amazing teacher. You may think it’s too much detail, but for thous of us that still have a lot of learning to do, it’s so incredibly helpful. A beautiful idea for sure. I have so many cards I hang on to, and this is such a wonderful way to use them. Thank you for being patient with those of us that are still on the low end of the learning curve. Such talent!! You’re so awesome!! Thank you.

Hi Natasha, I've only recently discovered your channel and I love it, you are so creative and so generous in sharing your detailed notes. I have always loved art and crafting and I've been making things for as long as I can remember, working with whatever I had to hand, and collected paper- all types, card and fabric. Not everything has worked out as planned, but now that I'm retired I have time to dedicate to my craft, to learn and improve and you are truly inspirational. Thank you.

I do work part time but I’m always paying attention to things that can work in a journal. You have corrupted me! 2 ladies I work with are also hooked now. I directed them to your channel. I love all the creativity you have.

I’m going to do this with the cards and bits I received during my breast cancer journey! I may also do an anniversary one starting with my 45th wedding anniversary and going back a few years from there. The I have a drawer full of various greeting cards that have not been used that I received in the mail from various charitable organizations I have donated to over the years. Fabulous decluttering idea that can have function and serve as a beautiful memento! I too dream that maybe my kids or grandkids might appreciate them some day…

I knew there was a reason I have saved some of my special cards, I have a lovely velumy birthday card from my Nanna, about 35 years ago & a few letters from my Granny, both passed over 20 years ago, also some birthday, mothers day & Christmas cards from family, mainly Grandchildren, & very close friends ❤ I didn’t want to cut them up, but wanted to do something with them. You have given me the perfect way to preserve them forever ❤❤❤ Thank you Natasa for once again sharing your talent with us, you are one of my favourite go-to arts & crafts you tubers 🤗

And I have previously (2 years ago) bought bags and bags of old greeting cards from the thrift store; not knowing what I was going to do with them, but knew I'd figure out something eventually. And here it is; plus it is better than recycling them... Upcycle is where it's at!!! Thank you SOOOO much, Natasha! FABULOUS idea... as always.

I have a LARGE pic nic basket FULL of cards I have received. Haven’t gone through them in several years, but will do so to find some that can be repurposed into this fun project. Thank you for posting the binding instructions, too. I LOVE your written notes and instructions. I take a picture of them and make a hard copy which gets put into a 3-ring binder. I’m working on a junk journal for my daughter who will come visit the first week of October. The middle signature (will have three signatures) will be made from a thick envelope I received in the mail which will hold up well as massive pockets and will add fold out features. When I’m stumped for ideas, I hear your sweet voice….”how can I make this fun and creative?” 😬💝 Then something pops into my head and off I go…! 💝🧵💝✂️💝 Love you, Natasa!!! 💝🙏🏼💝

If I could record my comment you would hear me exclaiming in a loud voice “Oh my goodness, why have I never thought to do this!!!” And then bumping my head against my craft table a few times. I admit I am a card collector, card saver, dare I say card-a-holic? And this video has given me renewed hope that my hobby is not in vain. I literally have cards from my entire life that were given to me for every occasion, not to mention the cards I buy at a whim because they are unique or beautiful, not to mention the cards I make! I absolutely love this idea of embellishing them and giving them new life and practical use in this type of bound journal. This video alone could keep me occupied for the remainder of my craft life. Thanks so much for a really inventive and Fun Fun Fun tutorial! P.S. thank you for such a clear tutorial and written instructions on how to bind the books. Well done!

Hello. I am brand new to JJ. When I say "new", I mean I JUST discovered it 2 days ago. I only have $10 to spend on a Hobby Lobby gift card that was given to me (I haven't had any income for 4 months but I start a new job soon. Praise the LORD!) Anyhow, I am just learning and I need to use what I have. I have many, many greeting cards! I had just been thinking I need to go through them and throw them out. Maybe take pictures of them or something. I don't have a husband or kids to pass things on to. However, I do have many wonderful friends and now I want to make them all junk journals as gifts!
I have to say that this is THE BEST VIDEO! I have watched dozens in the last 2 days (it's what you do when you can't spend money.) You explained everything so well. I love the binding method and not having a need for a separate cover. I think I'm going to use it for my first journal. Thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration!

FANTASTIC...and a GREAT idea to bind all my sentimental cards together one by one into a book, so fronts and inside can be read.... instead of keeping them loose in a box. This way they can be read like a book. It can even be added too. I might start with all my Mother's Day cards....and then a book with my Christmas Cards. THANKS for the Idea! COVERS can be made noting what cards they are, but don't put on a back to add each years card!

I’ve made notebooks just to keep cards in ones that were special to me and I couldn’t part wf them.
Sometimes I make cards for people out of cards they’ve sent me over the yrs. I sent one out the other day (that was sent to me) back to the sender and she couldn’t believe I had saved it! I told her you should know by now I save everything!
    Yes... I’m a collectible hoarder!
    A sickness I’m proud of😑🙄🤣
    Love this idea of yours👍

This is such a nice way to keep the birthday cards you receive. I always hate to throw them away. And what an interesting way to bind them. I’ll have to give it a try since it was my birthday this week!

What a fabulous idea 💡 😍. I have a box of cards...I'm too sentimental to throw them away....now I don't have to hide them away! I might create journal of the cards for each person that has given me the cards...(lol...some journals might be thicker than others 😏). What a lovely gift of memories.
