I would watch a 5 hour video of you taking us around your studio and showing us all of your supplies. I would enjoy seeing you open all your drawers and cabinets and flipping through all the things in them. I would relish hearing your stories about how you acquired some of those things, what you plan on doing with them, and even how long you've had them. And if that's not enough time to go through everything, I would watch a 5 hour part 2. You are pure delight.
Never apologise for "rambling"!! You are the perfect tutor because you explain everything in such a clear way and never assume people already know things. Some of us are learning from scratch and appreciate the time you take to show us what to do!
Lovely. This could be used for many types of cards. A lovely gift for someone in hospital, or going away for a short holiday, or even as a sympathy journal card. I'm sure these situations and more would be greatly appreciated receiving such a gift at this right time.
I enjoy the rambling! And the simplicity, the added little extra touches, the ability you have to take something damaged and create it into beauty is a true gift and is amazing! Thank you for all the inspiration! I really love the fact that you show that you can do all this on a budget and don't need all the expensive tools many other people show online.
Absolutely gorgeous and please DO keep talking about your thought processes. They are really useful. Love your work. You make wonderful transformations. Ty!!
Genius!! Your idea for getting the beads on the ribbon is just plain genius! Why didn’t I ever think of that. I love these beautiful little Christmas journals. They make such a good gift, rather than just a card. ❤
I love your channel, not just for the beautiful creative abilities you have but for your wonderful personality that goes along with crafting with you. These are adorable
You are beyond talented!!!!! You are by far my favorite teacher for projects!!! Your inspiration is amazing!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations with us!!!!💖💖💖
Natasha you saved me. I am having 4 ladies for a crafting luncheon the first week in December and when I saw your idea I knew it was the perfect thing for the ladies to do. it is a lovely project I feel all of the ladies will enjoy. Thank you so much.
WOW!!! WOW!!! You are by far the most enjoyable teacher of all time, THANK YOU, you are one classy lady! My favorite, perfect teacher of Art & Possibilities!! Spread your encouraging words, and Again, THANK YOU,!!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your JOURNALs. I have never understood the "Junk Journal". I have always thought the paper and designs were beautiful......but they were all JUNK....there was absolutely no space for the Journal part. AND YOU have INCLUDED the journal part. THANK YOU!!!!! YOU ARE MY FAVORITE! They were beautiful.. Thank you for sharing. I was never inspired to create one because to me it was just JUNK.....a bunch of pretty stuff cramed together.....with no use. Now I am inspired to create one.
Oh please, don't apologize for rambling.....I learn so much as you teach, offering different ideas & your thought processes. These are wonderful & beautiful. You are so talented & a great teacher. And yes, I will be making these....most likely with birthday cards. Thank you muchly! 🥰
I bought my husband an anniversary card early and it’s in my craft room waiting for December. I think I’ll do this with matching scrapbook papers inside and add photos of us throughout the years. Thanks so much for the idea! If I film it I’ll tag you! Thank you, Natasha! Love your ideas!
I’ve been watching your tutorials for awhile-it has become part of my Saturday morning routine that I look forward to. Your tutorials are easy to follow and your voice is easy to listen too. There are others on this platform that may have other excellent content like you but they are sooooooooo annoying to listen too I just can’t get into them. They are either laughing too much, or conStanley showing me their cute doggy (That’s nice, but I am not interested in how much you love your dog), or their voice just makes my ears bleed etc. your delivery is excellent and I could watch you and LEARN for hours. Thank you for giving me the gift of your knowledge and sharing your experience.
I am definitely making this card junk journal. I have so many cards saved from the years past, I should have great fun turning some of them into a small journal.
Adore your videos..your clear directions, your happy voice, and you speed up repetitive points just enough (but not too much!). So appreciate your ideas..and the beading trick, the extra loop..lovely!!!
Just a super adorable idea, Natasa. You’re so creative and I love the things that you dream up, with helpful tips and tricks along the way…♥️I’m definitely raiding my card stash.♥️
I love this idea. I have seen people use cards inside a journal, but never use a card to make the foundation of the journal. What a fresh new idea! Thank you!!
Absolutely!...as I started watching, already I was thinking "what a beautiful enhanced birthday gift this would make ". The possibilities are endless. What a wonderful teacher we have in Natasha ❤️
I think I watched this 2 yrs ago, but no matter…I watched the entire thing again! Gonna make one TODAY! Love this idea of using a Christmas card from my brother or sister that I will keep, and it has special meaning because it’s from them.❤
YOU are FABULOUS 😊my goodness what an inspiration YOU are !! I have to say YOU are my #1 FAVORITE on UA-cam … those are sooooooo cute … I haven’t started making journals yet .. but this one here just might be where I start .. Thank You 🙏 for sharing your God given talent !! Have a BLESSED day or night !!!
I love that stitch that you have on your sewing machine. I have 70 something different stitches on my sewing machine and that one is not one of them and I wish I had it because for some reason that stitch just makes it looks so nice I’ve tried every zigzag stitch that I have and none of them look as good as that zigzag stitch so lucky you.😂❤
Your book came out beautifully!! What is am so interested in is that little loop for the dangle, and now I know how to do it!! Thank you so much for that useful information!! Can’t wait to put one on my current journal 😊 Thank you so much…very helpful!!
I save the majority of my Christmas cards each year. So I have oodles of them. How cool to take a few & send them back to their original senders as a book! Thank u for this wonderful idea! 🎄🎄🎄❄❄❄🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻
I make my own Christmas cards but I have a whole box of store bought. Guess what I’m going to be making!? Oh Natasha, I so get that perfection. You always make me smile with your videos. As always TFS! ❤️
I also live in Australia and have a beautiful crafting friend (vintage junk journals) in the USA. I'm inspired to make her an Australian Christmas themed version of this gorgeous journal. As always....Thank you Natasha...you are a true teacher ❤️
Loved this, simple put special! Doing a week of special adventures with my granddaughter the week prior to Christmas. I will make this and then add special photos and tickets from our week together and give to her as a memento!
I will definitely be doing this one. What a great idea. You always explain everything so well. Thanks again. Have a super fantastic weekend 💜 Sending love and big hugs Sherry
Natasha, it's been said before truly you were made to teach. Never stop rambling because what you consider rambling most of us see as teaching and giving it your all. Thank you for that.✨
What a great idea for the holidays! This makes makes me want to save all the cards I get this year and return them to the senders as journals next year. As always, thank you for the inspiration!
I'm not a Christmas person at all, but this was so fun and inspiring that I've gotten all the materials and plan to make journal/Christmas cards for all three of my adult children and their families. This make the purpose of greeting cards so much greater. Thank you for all that you give to us all year long. You are marvelously talented.
Anybody who can sing jingle bells on a bad day MUST be a good person! Those covers are to be treasured and makes me wish I lived in Australia ! Happy Crafting to you all!👍❤
I have an absolute blast listening to your videos. It is so instructive but loads of fun at the same time. I have to laugh! And you know what they say about that, " A day without laughter is a day wasted." Thanks so much for sharing your creative ideas. I am learning so much and stretching my own creative thoughts and ideas!
Addicted to your channel and have learned so much! Thank you for your attention to detail, it gives me confidence to try some of your ideas. Love this one especially! ❤
Oooo yay!! New video! Plus Christmas, I'm here with my coffee! ☕️ Let's go! Love your designs and ideas. 🎄 Edit: I can confirm going through your thread whilst binding isn't good. I'm still new to junk journaling and it's frustrating when I place the needle through the thread. It works still but I don't think it gets as tight and it's messy looking. Last edit: LOVE the Christmas journals!!! Oh my goodness I now need to go and make some! I have some vintage cards that my dad received as a child back in the 60's and I never knew what to do with them. Now I have a plan. 😃 😊
I absolutely love this idea….pocket ( envelope) could be used to gift some birthday money in a birthday journal card. You have such great ideas! Thank you!
These will be PERFECT gifts to make for those people I don’t usually give gifts to. And,,, I get so many greeting cards in the mail from charity organizations that I am glad to now have a good use for them. THANKS so much!
Hello dear, I am using larger envelopes for albums, with acordeon spine, like you showed in other video. Was a great tutorial. What I do: I cut a full size cover page for the opening side of envelope, slightly smaller in size. It is a little thicker paper to make the envelope tuck in side sturdier. Using double sided tape rather not to wrinkle envelope. Just apply glue, tape along the envelope paper and place the page. And beware, lol, not to fully glue it down, just on the lower envelope part. The flap I cover likewise inside and outside. If you do it larger, you can also attach magnets under the larger paper and the flap. I use large envelopes for papers, tickets, cards etc. So the magnet closure is very handy . Easy to cut, just like decorating am album page, and you can embellish as you like. Just a little suggestion. This idea for left over cards is very nice. I love your creativity, using lots of your great ideas, or altered, it's fun to play around. You are a lovely person, enjoy listening and watching. Have a wonderful bright and ever so happy new year ❤ greetings from Marika, Germany.
These little journals are darling. I've wanting to make some journals using old cards and this gave me some great ideas. You are just a delight to watch and listen to.
Again one of your great projects. Such a original Xmas present. And so easy to do, I think… I’ m not so handy but with your tutorials I have learned a lot. Thx so much for sharing
This is the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time! What a great way to use up cards, even used ones could be used! Thank you so much for the inspiration and your calm and precise way of teaching! Thanks for sharing! I am going to subscribe!
Thank you, again. Inspired, as usual 😊 When threading beads into ribbon, I find it super helpful to bend an ultra thin metal wire in half, (so that its got a 'looped' end; fishing line would also work), then push the looped end through the bead, thread the ribbon through the wire, and then pull the wire back through the bead, and the ribbon gets pulled through with it. Obviously it wouldn't work with really tiny beads though. It's the same method as using a needle threader.
Oh my goodness! Love the card journals. ❤ You make the world more beautiful with your creativity. I’m sure a lot of this stuff is thrown away. Let’s hope no more and people start making beautiful journals and ephemera.
I can’t wait to make a card journal myself now! Natasha is my all time favorite. Even if I’m not doing junk journaling at the moment, I’ll pull up one of her videos just to watch. 🥰 Thank you Natasha for sharing so much with us! You’re so encouraging and helpful. ❤️
I’ve come back to tell you that I did this and modified it for my toddler grandson for Christmas. It was a hit! I made themed pages (jingle bells, snowman, Santa, Christmas tree, etc) and made the opposite pages with removable parts (a tree that pulls out of a truck, a snowman that pulls out of a snow bank etc) but tied to the book with ribbons so he won’t lose them. Wish I could post pics here-it turned out really toddler cute! Thank you so much for the idea and inspiration! Love your channel. New subscriber!❤
Absolutely fabulous 😊 your videos have given me so much inspiration, Im very new to journals so have been looking for simple elements that give me the wow factor, I’m using your paper bows 😊, they look amazing in a journal, also your mini clip boards, your mini postcards from magazine pages and I’ve made my first ever fabric paper journal cover 😊. I volunteer for a dog rescue & animal sanctuary and everything I make is sold for them, I pay for the materials so 100% of the sale goes to the charity. My fabric paper is of dogs 😂. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with us all, you are truly talented xxx
What a perfect video for a beginner journal maker. Everything is simplified and I know now what a signature is, how to bind, ephemera, gluing, sewing, embellishments I learned all in this one very well edited and process simplified video. Thank you so much.
I learn a lot of tips when you ramble. So ramble on! I am new to making these journals. Recently I have given away a few and now have requests to make more. I love this crafty idea! Today I watched this video again and made this project! It’s not yet finished and not as neat as yours. I have noticed that I am learning more creativity as I make each journal. 😀. Thanks for showing how to do this.
What a fun, beautiful idea for a gift for great-grandparents! If l made this wonderful journal and filled it with photos of their great-grand children/babies, they would be over the moon! Love the vintage style cards you found... so much fun and really adds a special feel to this project. Gorgeous little special touches! Watched 3 of your videos, and this SB-er and card maker is a new subbie, totally in love with your unique creations and style of sharing/teaching. You are a treasure! Thank you so much! ~Ali (Nova Scotia, Canada). 🇨🇦
I agree , I just found you yesterday, and have been watching ever since, when I could. The previous comment are all correct. You are delight to listen , and watch. You explain everything in such detail , that it makes you want to do it! Thank you . B from North Carolina .USA😊
This is a wonderful project! I have quite a few Christmas cards from the 50's ...my mom saved just about every card she ever received, and I have saved many cards over the years. I want to choose my favorites that I remember from my childhood and turn them into memory books filling them with recollections of those Christmases. Maybe I'll and a few pictures to go along with those memories. Possibly, a book for each year. The creative juices are flowing this afternoon.
Natasha, that idea about the extra loop to hang stuff is genius and saves you money too. I am going to try this on my next journal. thanks for showing how to do that.
They would be good for giving money gifts to granddaughters with a small note $ in various pockets. How exciting to open each pocket and flap and find a small dollar bill. Thanks Natasha wonderful tutorial
I love this Christmas Greeting Card / Junk Journal idea Natasha. Only discovered it in January 2023, but will start on a batch for the Holidays. (One of my pockets will be used to tuck a gift card inside). Your attention to detail is the number one reason why I enjoy learning the "craft" of crafting from you. Thanks so much.
I love these card booklets. I always get do many beautiful cards at Christmas and I hate to throw them away, but I never know what to do with them - now I do ….!!!!! Thank you so much.
Absolutely LOVE this idea!!! Excellent tutorial!!! Awesome idea on adding beads to the ribbons! Love the loop idea for hanging the tassel! Thank you for sharing!!! Just Excellent ❤
Thank very much for this - my mother used to make celebration cards and when she died I kept all her paper craft. I have just finished making 2 of these card junk journals for my children using my mother's cards. It keeps her memory alive. I had been wondering what to do this year and then your video poped up. Once again - thank you.
Lovely, lovely journal and I really appreciate the tutorial on the tassels. Getting those wide ribbons into the beads hack was wonderful. Thanks so much Natasa!
Oh same! Let me grab a sandwich and a cool beverage and let's go! Haha!!
She is absolutely pure delight and she has ruined me for watching any other junk journal artist. I always think, "Well, she's definitely NOT Natasa!"
Yes she is so great to watch
Oh I missed that !! What's it called ?
yes! I mentioned in the past I'd love to see a studio tour, I really hope she makes one :)
“I won’t even bother with the sewing this time…or will I?” 😏 This video is not only a great tutorial but a lot of fun to watch!
Thank you 😀
Once again, another winner from you thanks! 👏🏻❤️

The budget thing is what really matters to me. Though honest I have too many expensive supplies I don’t use that I bought in the past..😅 lol
Absolutely gorgeous and please DO keep talking about your thought processes. They are really useful. Love your work. You make wonderful transformations. Ty!!

Great idea Robin!
I’ve been watching your tutorials for awhile-it has become part of my Saturday morning routine that I look forward to. Your tutorials are easy to follow and your voice is easy to listen too. I did these last year for my grandson’s school Christmas store. I donated them and the kids loved buying them for their families. Fun to do!
Just a super adorable idea, Natasa. You’re so creative and I love the things that you dream up, with helpful tips and tricks along the way…♥️I’m definitely raiding my card stash.♥️

Love this. If you had a card given by someone special this would be a lovely way to use it and see it often xx
Love them! I will definitely be making some. My granddaughters will love them 🙂
PPS when binding, I ❤️ the little loop for hanging dangles and trimming wide ribbon to a point to thread bead = Perfect 👍🏼

I love this idea - I have never thrown out my Christmas cards and always wonder what to do with them.
Love it!!! Will give it a try. I know the grandchildren will love it. ❤
Again one of your great projects. Such a original Xmas present. And so easy to do, I think…
I’ m not so handy but with your tutorials I have learned a lot. Thx so much for sharing
Thank you so much 🤗
Wonderful video. Simple elegance once again. Yes, I will make some of these for free gifts for our Hospital Chapel for Christmas. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you :) And have fun!
I love watching you! You're a hoot!!! "Let's just stop talking and do the thing"! Words to live by! Lol! ♡♡♡
This is the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time! What a great way to use up cards, even used ones could be used! Thank you so much for the inspiration and your calm and precise way of teaching! Thanks for sharing! I am going to subscribe!
Thank you, again. Inspired, as usual 😊
When threading beads into ribbon, I find it super helpful to bend an ultra thin metal wire in half, (so that its got a 'looped' end; fishing line would also work), then push the looped end through the bead, thread the ribbon through the wire, and then pull the wire back through the bead, and the ribbon gets pulled through with it.
Obviously it wouldn't work with really tiny beads though.
It's the same method as using a needle threader.
You turned junk into a work of art. My husband will cry when I send him a link of the joy I have just discovered 😂 Thank you for sharing! Subscribed.
these are lovely Natasha, thank you for the tip on adding the beads to the ribbons, never thought of that either!🙃
Again you made something out of ordinary pieces. I love them and will make one and give instead of a plain Christmas card. Thank you 😀🇦🇺🍀
Wonderful! Thank you
Oh my goodness! Love the card journals. ❤ You make the world more beautiful with your creativity. I’m sure a lot of this stuff is thrown away. Let’s hope no more and people start making beautiful journals and ephemera.
I so enjoy watching you transform something this simple into an eloquent item. You are quite talented.
Thank you 😊
3:49 I really like the totally "non functional" sewing border. This project is so great! Your creativity is amazing.
Thank you so much 🤗
I can’t wait to make a card journal myself now! Natasha is my all time favorite. Even if I’m not doing junk journaling at the moment, I’ll pull up one of her videos just to watch. 🥰 Thank you Natasha for sharing so much with us! You’re so encouraging and helpful. ❤️
My goodness! Ur amazing! So consistent throughout these years! Thank you for sharing Natasha!!
You ARE a JOY to Watch Everything You Do Brings Joy To My life !!
