I was so hyped when the bronco was announced it was coming back but with low inventory and the dealer markup my excitment for this vehicle is dead. Thanks for another good video TfL 👍👍👍

Just be patient. I figure in 5 years I'll pick up a 2024 Bronco Raptor. Let the hype fade, the new model kinks get worked out, and the first owners take the depreciation hit. Ok, that last one may not be too much--Raptors hold their value pretty darn well.

I know a few people that canceled their Bronco orders and bought Gladiators instead due to delays. They're all glad they did. The Bronco looks sick, it's just nice to have a Wrangler and pickup all in one. I love my Gladiator! I might still purchase a Bronco down the road and have both...V6 only.

TFL, I like your content, it’s informative and useful. But, I wish you guys would film from the back seat when able, so as to show us more of the dashboard and steering wheel. It’s very useful for potential consumers. Especially for vehicles like this one that are of unconventional size.

Great review but I would like to hear more about what the Raptor is like to drive on the road. Is it noisy? How much tire roar and wind noise do you notice at 50mph, 60mph, 70-80mph (freeway speeds). Also, I know it will not be very fuel efficient, but what kind of fuel economy are you observing. I have driven a Sasquatch Bronco with the soft top on the road near Palm Springs out to Yucca Valley and at freeway speeds you definitely notice some tire and wind noise. Man, that Sasquatch Bronco is good off-road though. One of the best off-roaders out there for sure and way more capable than anything I need.

Once you get some saddle time on the bronco raptor you really start to appreciate it, in regards to the fenders because the vehicle is so different and it’s not like anything else on the road and sticks out like a sore thumb, but once you get used to it you really appreciate the fenders I think they look awesome!!! and performance wise it’s incredible, coming from a Jeep 392 and now owning the bronco raptor I was spoiled by the sound of the hemi & the power but in actuality the bronco raptor is much more fun and comfortable to drive it’s just a great all around vehicle, But it does attract a lot of attention which I’m not used to, And it’s extremely capable off-road. Also it tows very well and tracks down the highway/roadways perfectly. Set up the R button in sport mode with Baja exhaust and shut off track control in the vehicle comes to life!!!

The Bronco Raptor suspension and chassis improvements are what make it worth it. The engine is meh and Ford knows it. Needs the 3.5L Ecoboost or better. The 3.0L should be an option in all the Broncos instead of the 2.7.

What is it with all the drag racing in trucks or SUVs??? I bought my truck because it is versatile, comfortable, highly capable off-road, tows my 6x14, and makes for a great camping rig. It has good enough power to complete all those duties and be "fun", but I don't care one bit about 0-60 times. If I want to go fast I have motorcycles and a sub 5-second car. And these days even that "quick" car is no match for most of the family EVs coming out, so it REALLY makes the concept of quick ICE trucks that much more absurd. Please. Give us content that matters. Test this awesome rig on the trails or even on the Ike.

The Bronco Raptor is too wide for trails because it’s made for the desert. So heavy it gets to 60 in a slow 6.8 seconds. Rare that you can’t get one unless you pay the 100k dealerships will demand. All that to get what? The Raptor name and some saddlebag fenders?

Same :) the closest thing the world gets to a diesel Bronco is the 3.0 L Power Stroke V6 turbo U704 Everest, it's also T6.2 based. If there's ever an Everest Raptor it will be quite interesting because there will be quite a lot of overlap with the Bronco in terms of capabilities. I suspect an Everest Raptor will be slightly below the Sasquash package in terms of off-road ability.

6.8 second 0-60? Seems a bit slow. Considering it’s a turbo engine, seems kind of slow even for Sedona’s 4,350’ elevation. Fender flares don’t look that great. Sounds somewhat anemic, but could just be how it come across on video. Honestly, now that I look at it, I don’t see much appealing over a well equipped Bronco. Definitely a niche product for the Baja folks, as opposed to the Raptor F150 which IMO has a wider appeal. Or maybe I’m just not the target market.
Throw in the fact that you probably can’t get one for a couple of years anyway, I just don’t think the appeal will hold. I’m somewhat disappointed, I expected to be more excited about it.

The Braptor is a disappointment in virtually every possible category. Even reservation holders can't get it. If you can find one, you are going to pay way over MSRP. Then if you get it, it's slower than a 2 door Jeep JL. Why would anyone buy this when you can go order a Rubicon 392 Wrangler and get it in 5 weeks for less than you'd pay for this slug of a truck?

The Explorer ST platform is insane - especially after a (torque sensitive) ZFG tune. The amount of accessible power left in that 3.0 engine is incredible and this Raptor will be no different. Gains on dynos report to be over 150hp and 150 torque to the wheels for a daily driver. The only thing that limits this will be the transmission’s ability to handle torque. Not sure what the Raptor has but if its Ford’s 10r80 transmission then there’s no issue.

While I love my fords I very likely won’t be buying another as the manufacturer is now forcing buyers to direct order. In turn discounts typically available usually resulted in prices below MSRP. Everything I’ve read indicates that you will not only pay MSRP but the dealers will add their costs ($$$$) on top. Many dealerships will fold resulting in even higher prices for new vehicles and specialized maintenance repair prices over and above. While I don’t like dealerships per say I do like having the ability to negotiate between them locally when shopping for a new vehicle.
The Ford manufacturer is screwing nit only the dealer but the consumer. Ford - 🖕🏼
