yes, very usefull, can you explain how enemy level scale ? can you just grind on normal? or you have to go next difficulty? do you need last difficulty as well?
@@RomanowRomanow1 Areas in the game generally have a level associated with them. There are a couple that level up with the story level, but usually they don't level up. For example, knuckledragger will always be a low level in normal. But in UVHM he will scale to your level. You can grind normal mode if you want because TVHM doesn't scale to your level, but you don't want to stay in TVHM too long because if you go into UVHM at let's say level 55, all the enemies will be at your level but your gear won't be higher than 50 and will not be as effective as if you went in at level 50.
@@agentlomax but I HAVE to go to tvhm, right? I am 42 on psycho, so I cant level up in normal cause all enemies are lower and gear is like up to 39 or so? I could get maybe 1-3 levels grinding uranus but probably i should move on, right?
Here’s a good tip as well if you have a high level character and starting any character (especially if you’re making a level 30 character), go to Normal mode and farm Uranusbot to get level 36-38 legendary class mods and if you’re lucky you can get one that’s about 37 so it has +4 on skills boosted. You can also get some excellent weapons here as well so your new character has an easier time. If you’re on console just sign into a new account and transfer the stuff at once, or use the Stash if you’re on PC.
Also, use dlcs in normal mode for extra xp. Gif you go through a headhunter dlc at lvl 15, then the first dlc at level 30 then go through the third dlc at 35, then do the Lilith dlc at 38. you’ll be at least level 40 in normal mode. I’ve got a level 42 Gaige from that. That makes TVHM go down from 15 levels to 10 levels. Really simple.
@@agentlomax I know this was made a long time ago and not expecting a response I am level 40 and still have not got the fastball or the herald should I just move on
Yea i had a slag weapon.... Also after my post I did go farm a bee and then got to uranus and been farming him from corridor. Easy legendary and 1 bar of xp per kill.
I've played through everything multiple times on PC, Xbox1 and 360 (I got two of the versions as gifts, and was like, yeah let's replay this for achievement hunting! :P) (once as Gaige, who is my all time favorite), and I've still learned new things from watching your videos, thank you, like the simple math with Nth Bullet, I never even thought about not maxing it or trading the 1 point in blood soaked for the faster movement / shield regen skill. Great Vids and I especially like that you explain your choices. Can't wait for the UVHM one!
Thank you! I'm looking to get the next one out in a few days. The thing with blood soaked shields was something I thought about recently because I always just maxed out both of those and had fancy mathematics on top of them, but now with 80 levels, you get a lot more options if you don't spec as many points into all the shield skill. Plus it's a little bit overkill imo.
I just got back into borderlands. I always ran Krieg or Maya and I really enjoyed this play through as Gage. I really hope you continue the uploads man!
I'm leveling my Gaige in TVHM, and I'm using your guide as a help with gear setups and farms. And right out of the gate, when I could finally do the Boll quest, he dropped a Fastball DURING the quest, the first time I fought him. Then I farmed Savage Lee, and he dropped a friggin DP Herold within 10 tries. And it's my exact level. I never had this much luck with farming EVER. This friggin makes up for spending 2 hours with my lvl80 Krieg hunting for a single Slagga near the Linchwood station.
Gave the Anarchy tree a try after normal mode where I ran a Death trap oriented build with zero anarchy. I'm having a lot of fun. Thanks for this guide
The shock tree is great for TVHM though. I usually level shock first, then anarchy far enough for discord and rational anarchist and then put the overflow into the BFF tree.
this is sio definitive i need this series!!!! i wish i found out about this later when the series was complete so i can watch the whole thing at once lol
I love that you also mention the worst case scenario when you have to make do with a green gun, showing me which options I should take if I only got green guns available.
Thank you very much for these videos! I enjoy playing as Gaige because of her passive benefits of increased chances to apply effects, her health and shields, and Anarchy! Really looking forward to your UVHM guide video as I'm currently on that mode with my Gaige and I am having an absolute nightmare...
No idea what happened with my OP. Anyway, I'm playing Maya using your Maya build and the Gaige walkthrough. I'm struggling... could be me, not sure what's happening. Gonna try to respec. In TVHM, made L33 farming Knuckle Dragger. Made L34 on or before Flynt, who dropped a L35 Tinderbox. Now virtually all enemies one shot my shield and two shot me. Also, virtually none of my L30 weapons are effective. Already mid way to L35 and haven't reached Sanctuary. The gold Skullmasher was 1 rnd for 5 hits. In TVHM it's 5 rnds per shot; quickly depleting my ammo.
After getting the badaboom, I just farmed The Bunker. I got millions, hundreds of eridium, and chances for The Sham and got good corrosive weapons. The rocket laucher can kill bunker in a full 23 hits or less
thank you for the guide,in just 2 days after my first ever bl2 playthrough i ended tvhm ,excellent guide, cant wait for part 3 on caige and guides on other heroes too(mostly cause you are very good at piking the weapons to farm and explaining how to get them and when )
@@agentlomax awesome!for the next vault hunter may i request the krieg,he seems a little akward with new players, just like me(i dont know what weapons i need ,probably roid shields i guess) but you are excelent at giving farming places order and itemazation (ive seen your point skill guide and im following that currently) but definetly a series for each vault hunter 1-72 when to do what quest and farm what will get you tons of views and apreciation, also on part 3 are we finally doing side quests for specific weapons ? i heard uvhm is a little tricky on when you wanna do your quests and whatnot ,again thnx a lot!
@@savvamon I have a poll running for the next character and so far it looks like Krieg will be the next character. And part 3 will have more gear recommendations than the previous 2 parts. It's going to focus more on farming to level 80 but I will recommend a bunch of gear at the end.
@@agentlomax btw i forgot to mention that, but on your upcoming videos(like krieg or caige part 3) feel free to mention dlc weapon farming too, with bl2 costing 5dollars for everything its safe to assume most people have acess to the dlc by now
This is the kind of guide that I needed, thanks! Are you going to do this kind of videos with the other characters and/or TPS ones? Would be really helpful.
I plan on covering all of the BL2 characters eventually, but once BL3 launches my focus will be there. & I don't know pre sequel enough to route an efficient farm, so I probably won't cover those characters.
12:40 TL;DR: I personally found the top of the hill much too "busy" to farm safely for the Badaboom, but it's probably better for XP farming. Of course, YMMV! Detailed: I would actually recommend against the top of the hill spawn for King Mong, even on PC. I would suggest *maybe* checking it only if King Mong hasn't spawned near the entrance to Arid Boneyard. It's a quick run across the bridge to the lower spawn location if you use that as your save point (sort of like when farming Slagga with the Lynchwood waypoint save), and only a single turret to worry about interfering (which really isn't at all, since Deathtrap will likely draw its fire). The top of the hill, on the other hand, has dozens of other 'mongs and rakks which are VERY problematic in comparison, and can also result in fewer Badaboom farm attempts from taking them out incidentally with the skyrocket (or even just keeping yourself safe from them) and result in hitting 48 sooner than a Badaboom can drop from the extra XP they give. Save the top of the hill when you are farming XP later (if needed as suggested in the guide) after you already have a Badaboom. Time for me to hit Data Mining (Badaboom-less for now)!
honestly once you hit tvhm you should be good to take those points out of cooking up trouble as the regen is laughably low and those points could be better used elsewhere
Definitely looking forward to UVHM vid. Like Sal, I'm having problems with level 55+. I've twinked her the best I can given that the twink item lvls are between 50-52. I have a legendary mech mod (from Uranus), 2 Bada's (explosive and shock), conference call (corrosive), Dpuh, 2 Lyuda's (corrosive and fire), 2 pitchforks (corrosive and slag), homing bouncing bonny (slag), the shock e-tech pistol that has natural ricochet (I forget what it's called), a low level logan, an 84% sham, a bee, a purple shock spike shield, a slagga, and a shock flying sand hawk. I've tried the usual anarchy build, a predominately shock build, and a mix between all 3 trees. I've died so many times in the Wild Preservation that I've literally gone broke. Did you know that you now can run across tubbies at lvl 58? I know, cuz I had one kick my ass before I gave up and started farming Uranus in tvhm. I don't remember having that hard of a time with Maya. Actually leveling her from 1 to 72 (pre CL&TF4S dlc) was fun as hell. Yes I have done the whole pre-stacking with a 2 in the mag coach at Marcus' shop.
@Andromydous Honestly, what I would recommend is going back and farm on-level versions of the gear that you can. Obviously you can't re-farm quest rewards, but things like an Unkempt Harold, or a Fastball (Fastball ROCKS btw), I would keep your gear no more that 1 level or so below you. Gear in Borderlands 2 increases in damage by 13% each level. This may not seem like much, but in late game it's an ENORMOUS amount.
I'm at Level 58 with Gaige and Levels 55-58 I was getting smoked! What I ended up doing to get through The Wildlife was whenever I was getting swarmed, throw down a Tesla and stand in the middle of the AOE. I believe Gaige has a skill that lessens shock damage. Try and keep a Topnea and if the Safe and Sound mission is available, go get the HeartBreaker, it should help.
1:03 it can work against armored too actually XD I started on a lvl 30 gaige, went to the talon of god mission, the thing was melting badass constructor's. Lady fist doesn't seem to care if they have armor or not XD
I know this comment is coming years after this post, but I hate Caustic Cavern. I chose to open the fast station in Tundra Express - Farmland. I was able to stab the Varkid, and they were leveling up ok. Didn't take to long for me to get to 41. Thanks for the video, I enjoy the content.
Tip for those who used the Lvl 30 start Before doing anything grab the: The good the bad and the mordicai quest for the xp relic so gaining levels goes by faster and probably gain more
Haha I'm still cracking away. This one's giving me more trouble because there's a lot more information that I'm still trying to figure out how to condense
Gaige was my second character to reach UVHM (first Maya). But that experience was just miserable. The area, Sawtooth Cauldron makes me really miss the days when I played Dark Souls. Well, now seems like I simply didn’t play as Gaige the right way. I focused too much on the skills but not paying enough attention to farming.Thank you for your tips on the planning the playthrough.
The farming for the most part is just so we can skip side quests and level up faster. The items we farm are strong, but the experience is also important because we can level while farming. Also Sawtooth is probably the most brutal area in all of BL2, so I feel you there
Agent Lomax Well, my 2 playthroughs as Maya and 2 as Gaige in TVHM aren’t so enjoyable mainly because I didn’t have decent gear for the main quests (honestly I am not so sure. My melee zero in TVHM didn’t suffer as much). The problem is, I learned to save the quests with good rewards after finishing the main quest but I ended up using low level gear while fighting the “op” enemies. I tried chest farming but the results are simply disappointing. Anyway, I really appreciate your careful guide on how to farm.
Get to max blood soaked shields asap, 2 points to cooking up trouble, 3 points to close enough 1 into better half., run a jill of all trades mood then put you points into little big trouble that aren't Death trap buffs. Aftet you get interspersed outburst maxed out you can work on nth degree, as it only works after 9 hits and close enough should work after 2 misses. Then fill out the rest of bff tee as you see fit. That's how i build her at least.
the only issue ive been having is finding blue class mods for TVHM, I would do the grendal mission but it dosent scale to my level and I wont be able to do it later in TVHM. Is there any good spots to farm these?
Hoping to see the UVHM video soon! I've recently hit level 67, and I'm struggling to find guns that work with anarchy. I didn't originally want to play anarchy Gaige, but apparently that's all that's viable. I'm considering giving up on Gaige and picking a new class, as I just don't find her very fun to play when I can't hit enemies. My Zer0 save file got corrupted very shortly after I got into UVHM, and I don't think I can stand playing through the story 3 more times to level up a new character that I'll hopefully enjoy more. I'm really hoping your UVHM guide will allow me to salvage that save and solo end game content, considering I've already wasted about 4 days of total playtime on the corrupted Zer0 save file, and about 2 on this Gaige file. The story is such a drag after you've played through it 6 times.
I'm hoping to have it out in the next few days. I was having some trouble with how to present all this stuff but I have it figured out now and just need to put everything together
Sawtooth Cauldron is quite difficult at level 47 if you exactly follow this guide. I died maybe 5 times going into that section (starting from 0) and then died about 10 times there. You just won't have any weapons that do good damage through this section (and yes, I've taken 4 other characters to OP levels so I do know about using the Slagga to apply slag before using another weapon to finish them off).
@@olas16k Maybe that would have been a good idea. OTOH, you get kinda used to massively powerful legendaries that he suggests even if they are a few levels out of date. You'd probably have to use several keys to find something that works well with her, but that'd probably be better than what I did. Note, you CAN get through it and some of it is actually leaning how much to sit back and wait to get enough stacks of anarchy before getting more aggressive. . She DOES become very powerful when you learn that.
any gear recommendations for tvhm at lvl 46? i got the slagga and maggie but my main damaging weapon is still my lvl 35 unkempt harold due to the extreme damage but its still lacking and i cant even kill the first constructor on my way to the bunker
Pretty good and similar to what id do but: Should have grabbed a rubi , a fibber (splitting version) and immediately make room for 5/5 close enough, pick up a slag pimpernel and sandhawk (if you got a shock fibber then take corrosive, if you got normal damage fibber get shock version), before or after he warrior. Also farm a bee from the treants and maybe get some class mods. It's an easy/quick farm.. Now it's TVHM time. And don't forget to get 5/5bloodsoaked. Also, personally id skip the hodunks /lady fist.entirely on NVHM.. you really shouldn't need slag in nvhm. Getle/mobley/black queen would prolly be a better dust farm at that time. 3 excellent items. The bee/fibber/pimp/rubi combo will totally make up for farming stuff without high anarchy.
You probly dont pay any attention to this anymore but I just got the hail and my skill trees are almost exactly like yours so I have no elemental preference for, say shock. However shock is neutral should I go for shock? or just settle with fire
So after starting a new gaige last week with your first Video im now at lvl 50😁 thank you for this series 👍 do you know when the uvhm part will be uploaded?
Hey! So you know if you don't enter Three Horns Divide until you're level 38 you can get a level 38 fastball/Harold and the fastball is actually usable until you beat the story.
I'm sure they'd be nice to have, but how long do you spend trying to get to 38 though before Three Horns? I'm just not sure if it's worth the time because there's other items like the maggie & lady fist you can get later that do fine.
It does take some time. But often farming out all my items before tvhm gets me to like lvl 34 or 35 and I go do stuff like get my grog and maybe even farm a raid boss if I have the right character. It also means that all gear you can get later will be even higher level. It's totally up to you and what you see as more efficient. I'm just telling you another option to think about if you wanna :)
@@Tronnort it's a mission reward item. You have to go start the beard makes the man in TVHM. However to have a good heal weapon before that you could farm a slag Rubi by doing Rakkaholics Anonymous and turning it in to Moxxi. But it can come in any element so I'd suggest read only or dashboard farming.
No Upshot Robot? Very tempting to put a point into that at some point and only go to Unstoppable Force 4, since it's nice to have DT up longer. Or is that in the next video like Close Enough was? ;) (Oh, and woot! I got a Fasterified Slagga, but the game glitched out and made Mick Zaford invincible when trying for Maggie.)
I've been doing DLC in TVHM and have my Gaige at 50 already before even starting the story missions. What's your recommendation? My plan was to do the Fight for Sanctuary DLC next and then the story missions to beat TVHM but I feel like this will put me in the 52-54 range. Will that be a big issue for UVHM?
It's only an issue at the start of UVHM. The problem you will have is that all your gear will be at level 50 because nothing in TVHM scales past 50. So you'd be fighting level 54 enemies with level 50 gear which is tough unless you have really good gear. I would pick up a Rubi from the Rakkaholics Anonymous quest when you can to have a healing weapon and get a ricochet fibber & bee when you get further into the story. You can do the Fight For Sanctuary DLC once you hit UVHM and the gear that drops then will be at your level.
Curious if your top shotgun choices have changed? I had to restart due to loss and tho the Orphan Maker doesn't work well with Anarchy, at least it's super lethal. What shotguns work with Anarchy best?
Jakobs shotguns are the best for stacking because you can fire them as fast as you can pull the trigger, but with smaller, lighter, faster they're pretty much going to have one shot before you have to reload. Any guns that do not suffer from close enough's damage penalty are also good, but these are pretty much uniques only. The blockhead and twister are both good examples, although the twister is a pain to farm. The orphan maker is a nice one because it's pretty easy to get, is strong, and great for stacking. Torgue ravagers are also really nice.
I have a question, does Death Trap benefit from equipping a roid shield? I'm working my way through UVHM and have sharing is caring. I'm picking up whatever is around to use and at the place I'm at in the game, this is the best shield I can get. I think I can get the Love Thumper soon but was just looking for some clarity on shield options.
I have to ask, is this a best guide or a fast guide? If it’s a fast guide, I 100% agree with the video. If it’s a best guide, I personally think you should go back and farm a few more things. I would get a ricochet fibber of each element (1 per play through), a Texas Striker from Normal mode to stack faster later, and a bee when it’s available. I think the fibbers when paired with the bee can be preferred. Maybe I’m speaking to soon, but I am curious.
@@alexmacic5955 ah thanks. What is a common Level? And i have a Bonus question... Should i accept the quests as soon as possible or when im on a higher lvl? Best regards
Fectron if I remember, 30-ish for Normal, 50-ish for TVHM, and I would wait for level 80 for UVHM. Get a fire ricochet in Normal, Shock Ricochet in TVHM, and a Corrosive for UVHM. The shock and fire damage don’t really matter, as you can just use the Bee to boost their damage. The corrosive will be for the peak (Overpowered Levels). If you want a shock build, get the corrosive in TVHM instead. I wait till max level to do mission with rewards I want to farm, because you can’t re-farm them. You could technically get all the fibbers at max level with some “read-only” shenanigans involving the stash, but that only works on computer (I’m on console 😐)
Are there any alternatives to farming the Varkid from 38-41? It's so tedious, I wonder if there's a better option? Even with 6K shield and 8K health, they'll 2 shot you -- and doing more than 1 at a time guarantees you'll die more than once (even with slag and a fastball because they aggro immediately and ignore your robot), and 1 at a time is so slow it doesn't really seem like a good method. Am I missing something?
No they're pretty rough without a sky rocket. I'd farm Wilhelm as far as you can, maybe 38 or 39 and then do the story mission. After that I think you can do most of the clan war quest line. The showdown will be tough so I'd wait on that, but doing all the rest should get you to around 40.
@@agentlomax What alternatives for XP (if any) do we have from 42-47 other than Varkid? I accidentally picked up the final pincer when I was grabbing greens to pay for the grenades. Already completed clan wars. I assume Wilhelm doesn't scale in level, so that's probably off the table...? Any other good scaling content I could jump into? Thanks!
@@MoofyCakes You can still farm whoever you killed in clan wars to 44. After that, you could try the bandit slaughter. I don't know how it is for xp, but it should be around that level
I'd say grenades if you are varkid farming and after that, shotguns, pistols, & rockets in no particular order. It really depends on what guns you are using though. Backpack space is also good to have
@@agentlomax another question will you do a version of this guide for a character in pre sequel? i recently also started playing that and there are no good guides on how to level and what weapons to grind in pre but i understand if you wont, since borderlands 3 is around the corner
Probably not. I don't know pre sequel as well as I know this game so I don't think I could make very good guides for it. And yea, with BL3 around the corner it's going to be hard for me to want to make guides for BL2, so pre sequel is unlikely
I know this is late but how do i get the lynchwood fast travel? I dont see it in my map. I already went there on normal, will it unlock itself once i get the quest?
So I've been trying to farm boll for a fast ball grenade mod, following the guide, and I havent gotten the grenade mod yet and I leveled up to level 39, should I just move on?
I've been farming savage lee for hours and can't seem to get an unkempt harold from him in tvhm... All enemies outlevel my lvl 8 uh from normal mode so it's really sad
Do you know if there's a source for this? I saw one person on Reddit say this but I couldn't find anything else on it. I know that it doesn't work like you would think it does. If a weapons has a 20% chance to slag, more pep should give you a 22% chance to slag, whereas most people would expect 30%.
Additional chance of elemental effects is a percentage of your weapon chance. So 10% increased chance on a 10% weapon is 11%. Not very helpful on many weapons. A grog nozzle or a rocket launcher are the only stuff you'll get much of a boost, but chances are already 1 in 3 or 1 in 2 shots and these points won't change that any
You have to travel there before you start the showdown mission. During the mission you cannot travel there but after you complete it you can. One additional thing you can do is to go back to normal mode and travel to Lynchwood and then take the train waypoint to the dust and save & quit. Then start up your game in TVHM and you should be there in The Dust.
Makes me wanna play from start again, im kinda bored with my current op 10 characters, i main sal and i got an op 10 maya but still on the middle of gearing up. i really want to try gaige but anarchy stacking seems a pain in op levels, im thorn between zero and gaige but your vids seem like it helping me so far. Im looking forward for your vid hope it can help me
Try farming Ol' Slappy. The only reason you can't farm him is because you need to complete the varkid mission first, but it's a good alternative if you've accidentally grabbed the samples.
King Mong spawns in 5 different places two of which you covered in this video yes King mong is like Gwen's head there's five different places you can find them
What’s the point of doing normal mode then starting a new character at lvl 30? Why not just start from there or just keep your original character? Sorry new to the game
OMG the first Varkid farm is killer tough! They are all over me, and Deathtrap isn't doing a very good job drawing aggro. Still, gotta keep at it! EDIT: If that first one was bad, the second is worse! They are killing Deathtrap before I can take them out. Good thing I only had to run them twice to get 47.
It's tough. You just have to make sure to keep your distance from them as best as you can and spam skyrockets. Then if you run out of money from buying grenades, pick up the items they drop and sell what you don't want
@@agentlomax I kept getting stuck back where the Fast Travel station is, much too enclosed there, and the Adult Varkid acid splashes will get you. Also, it's too dark in there to see what you are doing in FFYL. Let them go into pods near that big door, but run out into the open area. Halfway through 40 now that I have a better hang of it.
Yea, after Gaige is done we'll do a new character. It's looking like it will be Krieg right now. These videos take longer to make than I would like, so they likely all won't be done by BL3 release, but I plan to finish them all eventually.
OH, hey, btw, do you have a recommended prefix and/or element for the Badaboom? Or just keep the highest damage one if multiple drop during farming? I got Snyper Slag 39366 x6, and Quik Drawler 37186 x6 + 1957/sec Corrosive during the second XP farm for 49.
I like explosive generally just because it works against almost everything, and like the reload speed prefix. Not a fan of slag ones, but in anything before UVHM I'll take what I can get. I don't really use them in UVHM unless it's for rocket jumping. I tend to stick with Topneaa's
Maybe in the future but at this point, I don't think it's really necessary. Pretty much everything is a world drop at the moment and by the time you finish the story, you're already at level 35+. From there it's just finding something to kill to grind to 50
This might be a dumb question but how are you staying alive to do all this stuff? I'm trying my best to follow along and it's taking me several magazines of Slagga or Maggie to kill even the most basic of enemies and those enemies are 2-shotting me. Is 18k health and 23k shield too low for 45 or something?
It's hard for me to say without knowing more specifics. At level 45 you're probably around Bunker? For that you're going to want a corrosive gun for all of the loaders. The slagga is utilized more for slagging purposes rather than damage but the maggie should be effective against non-armored enemies, and decent vs armored enemies. Part of the problem with an anarchy build is losing your stacks when you die, and then getting stuck in a loop where you can't build any up and just keep dying over and over. It might just be an issue of under leveled gear, but I'm not sure what you're using nor where you are in the story.
@@agentlomax Thanks for replying! Right now I'm about to recruit Brick. (My farms took WAY longer than expected so I'm slightly ahead in levels?) I'm using Maggie, Slagga, Lyudmila, and Veruc as my Corrosive weapon. The best class mod I could find was Superior Sweetheart, and the beat shield I've got is a 42 Turtle Shield.
It could be a stacking problem because those weapons have medium to large magazine sizes. Ideally you'll want weapons with low mag sizes. If you can pick up a Jakobs shotgun, that will go a long way for stacking. Also I'm not sure what level your lyuda & veruc are but I want to say they're probably around 38? Might be a little underleveled for Thousand Cuts which is around 42 I want to say. With a turtle shield, if you can find some transfusion grenades, they will help your healing quite a bit. Other than that, just be patient and sit back while you build up stacks, then when you have more damage you can get closer to enemies. You'll need to because of the accuracy penalty.
@@agentlomax Thanks again friend! I ended up making my way through to Arid Nexus Badlands by completing the quest for Moxxi's healing Grenade and then farming Blue in Caustic Caverns for a Fabled Tortoise. The movement speed penalty was offset slightly by Unstoppable Force, and it put me well above 100k effective health. After that the Lady Fist closed out the story for me and I'm on my way to UVHM. Time to check out your 3rd video then!
@@agentlomax Ah my bad I should have continued watching. Do you think a bee with ricochet fibber is good with her? Also, do you think specing into more richocets from nth degree just for more aoe is a good idea?
@@KAJYT6969 The bee and the fibber are very good together, it's probably her best gun. If you have guns with multiple pellets, then it is good to get more points into the nth degree because each pellet will count towards the n. It makes it a lot easier to get that "bore" effect on certain enemies. And it's just a DPS increase overall so if you don't care about buffing DT, then put 5 points into it.
He has a crit spot already open in his mouth when he rises from the lava, whereas you need to shoot his chest open every time he rises from the lave to be able to crit him. The chest is easier to hit, but the mouth saves you the trouble of having to open his chest
I would like to say that if you play as someone like salvador (or by using a rocket launcher with any character),which can deal a lot of dmg quickly, it would be better to open the chest (which can be done quickly with explosive dmg) and aim there as it offers a wider crit spot Hitting the head may lower the damage depending on the weapon/user skills as it might make you completely miss the target(not only the crit spot)
The game seems to take a huge jump in difficulty at 47. Time to hit the Golden Chest. Word is BL3 will be more like BL1 and scale more linearly instead of the huge leaps BL2 takes.
I just finished the other video for Gaige
Thank you for this series
My pleasure 😀

@@RomanowRomanow1 Yea you should move on. You'll probably cruise through the first half of TVHM
How about alternative XP farming to Varkid from 42-48? Any recommendations?
Soul power
Also, use dlcs in normal mode for extra xp. Gif you go through a headhunter dlc at lvl 15, then the first dlc at level 30 then go through the third dlc at 35, then do the Lilith dlc at 38. you’ll be at least level 40 in normal mode. I’ve got a level 42 Gaige from that. That makes TVHM go down from 15 levels to 10 levels. Really simple.
Normal Uranus bot level is 34, would it drop level 36-38 loot? I farmed two legendary mod and both are level 33.
Found these videos some 4 years after the fact now that im starting a Gaige playthrough for the first time...
Thank you for the high quality guidance!

Yea uvhm is killing me I use a slag singularity grenade but even then the commander lilith dlc mobs with shields just won't die
@@edwilson8380 yeah, they're really tough. I think I need to start playing more like a cover shooter, but it's hard when I have all this Anarchy.
Yea i have tried that.... Even got a Nirvana smg but even after drop shields I need almost half my smg ammo to kill 1
Yea i had a slag weapon.... Also after my post I did go farm a bee and then got to uranus and been farming him from corridor. Easy legendary and 1 bar of xp per kill.
I'm seriously considering doing a spreadsheet with the steps on this video, with the farm levels and all. awesome guides, my guy!
I really hope you continue the uploads man!
watching this 3 years later, i’ve never leveled up a gaige before so thought i’d get back on and have some fun, this guide is rlly helpful
This is exactly what I was looking for maya just a couple of days ago. Great video
14:04 good luck out there, space-Lee
LOL WTF... I watched that a few times, never seen that happen but I'm guessing that's a missed op for harold there.
Space-Age Lee
this is sio definitive i need this series!!!! i wish i found out about this later when the series was complete so i can watch the whole thing at once lol
Haha thanks. I'm trying to get it done as soon as can! It's just a lot of information to compile into videos
Looking forward to UVHM guide!
These are the best guides, I wish you do all of the characters, fantastic job!
Maggie is a solid choice when you’re in the 40s. I didn’t have to XP-farm much since it could take care of enemies 4 levels above me no problem.
Yea it's a solid gun. It can carry you through most of TVHM past 40, especially with stacks
I love that you also mention the worst case scenario when you have to make do with a green gun, showing me which options I should take if I only got green guns available.
Please do this for all classes this was amazing
That's the plan! Gonna take a while though
Agent Lomax nice I’ll be liking them all
Looking forward to the uvhm guide. I feel like I need it. Struggling through uvhm now.
Thank you, ive been waiting for this

@@agentlomax glad to hear that, you are setting up the hype for bl3 sir
@@agentlomax btw i forgot to mention that, but on your upcoming videos(like krieg or caige part 3) feel free to mention dlc weapon farming too, with bl2 costing 5dollars for everything its safe to assume most people have acess to the dlc by now
This is so helpful thanks for making these can't wait for the next one
Glad you like em 😃
I overlooked coming in from the Arid Boneyard after you complete Toil and Trouble. It definitely seems like a good idea!
Is it badaboom or magamum?
honestly once you hit tvhm you should be good to take those points out of cooking up trouble as the regen is laughably low and those points could be better used elsewhere
We'll be going over a lot of gear in the next video and good combos. Hopefully it will help.
1:03 it can work against armored too actually XD I started on a lvl 30 gaige, went to the talon of god mission, the thing was melting badass constructor's. Lady fist doesn't seem to care if they have armor or not XD
Great videos,I started B2 yesterday but now I'm going to restart it and use this girl.

Excellent guides, thanks!!!
Agent Lomax Awesome! Looking forward to it.
Sawtooth Cauldron is quite difficult at level 47 if you exactly follow this guide. I died maybe 5 times going into that section (starting from 0) and then died about 10 times there. You just won't have any weapons that do good damage through this section (and yes, I've taken 4 other characters to OP levels so I do know about using the Slagga to apply slag before using another weapon to finish them off).
do you think it's worth using keys to get decent weapons?
@@olas16k Maybe that would have been a good idea. OTOH, you get kinda used to massively powerful legendaries that he suggests even if they are a few levels out of date. You'd probably have to use several keys to find something that works well with her, but that'd probably be better than what I did. Note, you CAN get through it and some of it is actually leaning how much to sit back and wait to get enough stacks of anarchy before getting more aggressive. . She DOES become very powerful when you learn that.
Love your gaige videos. Liked and subscribed
Glad to have you and glad you like 'em!
any gear recommendations for tvhm at lvl 46? i got the slagga and maggie but my main damaging weapon is still my lvl 35 unkempt harold due to the extreme damage but its still lacking and i cant even kill the first constructor on my way to the bunker
Loving this type of guide video, keep up the amazing work sir
Thank you!😃
Any xp farming reccs to level 47? I accidentally finished the mighty morphin quest so i can't xp farm those anymore
Hoping for this weekend. This video is going to have more info because of all of the weapons & farms to cover, plus DLC's
@@agentlomax sounds great and make sure it is how you like, because we all can wait a few more days more 😊
Does a ricocheting Fibber work with the closes enough skill? Like do the extra projectiles work with the skill
@@robertlittle2440 where can i get that Grog? Im done with normal Mode and would Like to farm some Things before going into tvhm with my gaige
@@robertlittle2440 really great. Thank you so much. Rubi, Grog...i know what i will do the next few days🌽🌽🌽
Not sure whether or not to include it. I'm still tinkering with the final build so we'll see
I've been doing DLC in TVHM and have my Gaige at 50 already before even starting the story missions.
Just finished true vault hunter with her and moved onto ultimate vault hunter cant wait for that video hope I dont ruin the build.
The good thing about UVHM is you can always reset your playthrough in case you need to go back and get something else
Question so would Bada Boom be useful for every Vault Hunter when you take on The Warrior or is it only specific characters?
It’s useful in any character
Would you recommend completing the Mighty Morphin quest after you finish farming Badass Varkids so you can have a chance to farm for Striker?
Yea there's no reason you can't. It's a good weapon in general and pretty easy to get
Curious if your top shotgun choices have changed?
@@agentlomax Thank you so much!
Do you need to beat the game to get the TVHM or just level up?
I have a question, does Death Trap benefit from equipping a roid shield? I'm working my way through UVHM and have sharing is caring. I'm picking up whatever is around to use and at the place I'm at in the game, this is the best shield I can get. I think I can get the Love Thumper soon but was just looking for some clarity on shield options.
Yea but I'd avoid the Love Thumper. He can down you with that shield. Try the Mercenary Day DLC to find the best purple shield you can
I have to ask, is this a best guide or a fast guide? If it’s a fast guide, I 100% agree with the video. If it’s a best guide, I personally think you should go back and farm a few more things. I would get a ricochet fibber of each element (1 per play through), a Texas Striker from Normal mode to stack faster later, and a bee when it’s available. I think the fibbers when paired with the bee can be preferred. Maybe I’m speaking to soon, but I am curious.
It's more of a going fast guide. Didn't want to get too bogged down with farming until TVHM, but the Fibber & Bee are coming soon.
How can i get more than one Fieber and why is mine on lvl 16
Fectron I’m not sure why it is 16, but you can get 1 fibber per play through
@@alexmacic5955 ah thanks.
@@agentlomax I got a Sky Rocket :)
I don't know how it is for xp, but it should be around that level
what do you suggest we use our eridium on
I'd say grenades if you are varkid farming and after that, shotguns, pistols, & rockets in no particular order. It really depends on what guns you are using though. Backpack space is also good to have
@@agentlomax aight thnx for the fast answer man
@@agentlomax another question will you do a version of this guide for a character in pre sequel? i recently also started playing that and there are no good guides on how to level and what weapons to grind in pre but i understand if you wont, since borderlands 3 is around the corner
Probably not. I don't know pre sequel as well as I know this game so I don't think I could make very good guides for it. And yea, with BL3 around the corner it's going to be hard for me to want to make guides for BL2, so pre sequel is unlikely
Cant wait to see UVHM

I know this is late but how do i get the lynchwood fast travel? I dont see it in my map. I already went there on normal, will it unlock itself once i get the quest?
once you get to lynchwood(enter the train at the northern part of the dust) you should just be able to walk up the steps and find the fast travel spot
So I've been trying to farm boll for a fast ball grenade mod, following the guide, and I havent gotten the grenade mod yet and I leveled up to level 39, should I just move on?
The fastball is a key item for the zaford/hodunk farm but 39 is some pretty bad luck. Might be best to just move on.

One question: Why no Fibber? Its a decently easy farm and is probably Gaige's best pistol
It's going to be the first thing picked up once TVHM is done
I’m not sure if it’s been patched yet, but I’ve heard that More Pep is glitched, and putting more than 2 points into it won’t do anything
A grog nozzle or a rocket launcher are the only stuff you'll get much of a boost, but chances are already 1 in 3 or 1 in 2 shots and these points won't change that any
@@jedlayton3169 It's more of a stepping stone to get further down the tree. I realize the benefit is minimal
I don’t have the Lynchwood fast travel location anymore. How do I unlock it in TVHM?
Im looking forward for your vid hope it can help me
Stacking can definitely be a problem. If you have a good Jakobs shotgun, that will help a lot. And rational anarchist gives you a nice boost.
What should i do if i accidentally pick up all four varkid samples?
Try farming Ol' Slappy. The only reason you can't farm him is because you need to complete the varkid mission first, but it's a good alternative if you've accidentally grabbed the samples.
King Mong spawns in 5 different places two of which you covered in this video yes King mong is like Gwen's head there's five different places you can find them
You thinking of Donkey Mong? King Mong only has the two I mention
@@agentlomax it seems to Handsome Jack collection is different because King Mong is two places and Donkey mong only has three that are most likely
What’s the point of doing normal mode then starting a new character at lvl 30? Why not just start from there or just keep your original character? Sorry new to the game
Prolly because some people watching will prefer to start at 30. So he's essentially showing both
OMG the first Varkid farm is killer tough!
Halfway through 40 now that I have a better hang of it.
are you going to do more of these videos but on different characters
Yea, after Gaige is done we'll do a new character. It's looking like it will be Krieg right now. These videos take longer to make than I would like, so they likely all won't be done by BL3 release, but I plan to finish them all eventually.
i am also having trouble getting a shock or explosive fast ball
@@benpayne6738 It can be tough. It will be pretty important for the clan war farm
thanks you have been really helpful
OH, hey, btw, do you have a recommended prefix and/or element for the Badaboom? Or just keep the highest damage one if multiple drop during farming? I got Snyper Slag 39366 x6, and Quik Drawler 37186 x6 + 1957/sec Corrosive during the second XP farm for 49.
I like explosive generally just because it works against almost everything, and like the reload speed prefix. Not a fan of slag ones, but in anything before UVHM I'll take what I can get. I don't really use them in UVHM unless it's for rocket jumping. I tend to stick with Topneaa's
how do i get the clan war quest? i did clan war first place last i dont know what to do now
nvm man i found it, had to talk to the guy in the wheelchair in dust. idk why it didnt say to do it
Yea Ellie talks after the end of that mission and then Tector chimes in over echo. You might have had a dialogue skip or something and it never played
i have a chain lightning in inventory to recharge nades in down time
GREAT VIDEO!
underated channel!keep up the good work! Are you planing on doing this for borderlands 3?
Maybe in the future but at this point, I don't think it's really necessary. Pretty much everything is a world drop at the moment and by the time you finish the story, you're already at level 35+. From there it's just finding something to kill to grind to 50
Are you gonna teach them about the buck up glitch?
Nah, if people want to know how to do the glitch, there's a bunch of videos out there.
@@agentlomax ok I'm just saying it's really useful on uvhm
My gaige is op 8 old cap so I’ll be waiting pal for the video on end game
where can i farm prodigy? i tried the tust for chubbies but no luck so far
It can drop from anywhere. You can try med vendors
King momg spawns at the bottom of the hill (at least he has for me) waaaaaay more often than the top
Holly crap we got a new dlc wow
I love these I follow the guide but make my own adjustments as well
Nice, glad they can help!
At level 36 and still havent got a Harold
Why dont you farm a ricochet fibber with close enough specd in?
I save it until level 50 to grab it for the start of UVHM
Was following this guide and forgot to pick up the injector to farm the mutated badass varkids before sanctuary took off, rip.
You can probably hop into a DLC if you have them to get you a level or two
@@agentlomax yea sounds like a plan dude
after 44 do i turn in the mission or keep it as is forever?
You can do either. You can leave it open and come back to TVHM to get a slagga later.
Why do you shoot the warriors mouth and not his chest?
He has a crit spot already open in his mouth when he rises from the lava, whereas you need to shoot his chest open every time he rises from the lave to be able to crit him. The chest is easier to hit, but the mouth saves you the trouble of having to open his chest
I would like to say that if you play as someone like salvador (or by using a rocket launcher with any character),which can deal a lot of dmg quickly, it would be better to open the chest (which can be done quickly with explosive dmg) and aim there as it offers a wider crit spot
Hitting the head may lower the damage depending on the weapon/user skills as it might make you completely miss the target(not only the crit spot)
Would love to see one of these on salvador
I plan to do all of them eventually but I wouldn't have them done until after BL3, so it could take a while
The game seems to take a huge jump in difficulty at 47. Time to hit the Golden Chest. Word is BL3 will be more like BL1 and scale more linearly instead of the huge leaps BL2 takes.
Borderlands 3 will still be exponential, but slightly less than the pre sequel. It should be less harsh than bl2 for sure
