I used acetone to wipe the paint off and Angelus brand leather paint and satin seal, I also used leather lotion to finish.
Repainting a completely destroyed Chanel Jumbo Flap for a client. Originally beige, dyed red, then someone tried to spray paint it black.
Wow. Didnt know it is possible !! The bag looked terrible !! But d final bag is beautiful! Unbelievable
This was so therapeutic to watch
Who would DARE to do the before to such a wonderful baby????!!!
maybe only u don't have the gutts lmao.. besides it was already so old.. and they have just painted it..make some gutts in ur love girl
tae tae guts*
tae tae so ur saying u would paint a $4000-6000 purse that kind of color? and that unprofessionaly lol
Jeffree Star! 😅
Wtf is Alvi talking about?? Guts?? If it’s so old why not sell it as a vintage piece and buy a black one, duh.
That was more satisfying than those billion views slime videos

After 20 hours: SHE'S BEAUTY AND SHE'S GRACE
She's Miss United States
Waaqia Jumat 😂 lmao
Great reference! 😉 Fun fact: The Executive Director of the film, Miss Congeniality, asked his son to write the pageant theme song when he was 6! It was mentioned in the director’s commentary and here: www.brownalumnimagazine.com/articles/2015-06-12/music-is-what-i-do
@@highlyopinionated I sang it in my head 😂😂😂😂
@@emmaturnermusic woah :o thanks for that randon trivia, love it! 😁❤
She never responds to any comments or questions so I’m going to answer a few as I’ve re-dyed many vintage Chanel bags.
1) Acétone to remove the old paint/dye.
2) Condition the leather and let sink in at least 24 hours.
3) Apply Angelus black leather dye (not paint). She SAYS die in her video but description says paint. DO NOT USE PAINT. Paint will flake and crack and chip off. Use good quality die like Angelus or Feibings Pro Dye. Only use paint if you’re going lighter because you can’t dye a lighter shade. Allow each coat to dry (2-3 coats). Allow to dry AT LEAST 24 hours then buff off until no color transfer.
4) Finish with a high quality leather finisher top coat depending on shine you want. Angelus and Feibings sell good ones.
5) Condition again and enjoy!
Thank you so much!
Is it acetone like nail polish acetone?
Chef V. Cakes yes pure acetone
It was told the exact thing 25 years ago by a real shoemaker who handmade shoes. I had a pair of boots I wanted black. Took a long time, but came out really nice.
Thank you so much for giving better instructions. I have a creme chanel bag that I'd like to keep creme if possible. Do you think I can remove the old dye and redye it in creme again? Any suggestions on removing the hardware?
UA-cam thought i needed to know this. I don't own designer handbags nor use handbags. But here I am. I feel wiser now.
Same
Literally me lol
Right?? Lol everything fits in my pockets but still impressed with peoples skills. I sent this to my sister though.
Girl keeps the hopes up! One day you’ll buy it, we all 🙏🏼
You stayed for the whole video too 😂
On lockdown in England at the moment looking on you tube for something I hadn’t watched before and I am thoroughly enjoying these videos on repairing old shoes and handbags and making them brand new again, its like watching artists at work ,there work is exceptional !
I literally just saw how you did it and I'm still like "HOWWWW???"
Wow that was absolutely incredible the way you repaired that bag.
Amazing! I can imagine the time it took to undo the chain link, dye the strap, dry, re dye, dry, re link and attach. 👏🏾
That’s amazing. So if I find one in horrible condition like that I’m going to snatch it up now that i know there’s hope
You need a reality show of you doing this to people's bags. "Pimp my Prada" 🤣
"From bags to riches" 😂 think about it 🤔
🤣🤣🤣
Yeaaah 😂😂😂😂👍🏽🙈🤷🏻♂️
That’s hella creative and made me laugh 😂😂😂😂😂
Woooooowwwwwwwww what a transformation! U gave the bag a new life!
WOW! It's like an entirely new bag now! Fantastic job! I'd never have thought of doing this!
You did an amazingly beautiful job on that bag!
Wow this is fascinating to watch and I cannot believe the end result. Looks like a brand new bag 👌
You brought that bag back to friggin’ life!!!! Wow!!!
No idea why this was in my recommended but this was so satisfying to watch
Just stumbled upon this video-considering how old it is, the comment section is lively!
That is definitely a genuine bag
You did a great job!
wowwwww!! it's completely restored! Beautiful work!
Amazing work! Cant believe that was even the same bag! Keep us posted for more restoration projects 😊
Beautiful. Didn't even know that these kinds of restorations are a thing, but omg you do great work. Looks like it was just purchased from the store as the original color
It looks brand new!!!! Wow, this is great
I don't own a Chanel bag but knowing the cost of it (including the people who made it, the time and the price), it pains me to see the previous condition. You have a real talent and somehow the respect you have towards things shows in your videos. Watching your restoring satisfies me more than actually owning it!
Wow this is much cooler than just buying a new bag
Wow that’s incredible! Amazing! I love how you SAVED! this bag! Big thumbs up
Absolutely GORGEOUS transformation!
As a person who doesn't feel the need to buy designer bags (although they are pretty) I think the people arguing about real and fake bags is hilarious.
Very cool work you're doing here. I like trying all kinds of art/crafting work and this seems like something I'd be interested in trying myself on a cheaper leather bag.
Gabrielle Chanel would be proud.
You mean Karl Lagerfeld. Karl created this model of the flap bag when he first joined Chanel. Coco did the 2.55 bag.
Love what you did. Best second chance ever done. love love love it
This is so smart to fixed a purse from Good will to a high class bag, amazing!!
Wow! You're talented. Perfect way to get years out of those extremely expensive luxury handbags.
I didn‘t even know that this was a thing and I absolutly love it😍❤️
Thank you for the video. I really enjoy watching all the processes, please post more in the future.
All I can say is WOW!!! Amazing job.
Me after watching this video:
Look for leather paint online and thrift leather bag
*leather dye
Emma *leather paint, I don’t think the restorer’s first language is English. She is obviously sponging on paint and in the description it says “Angelus leather paint”
@@emma472 yeah its paint ^_^
You did a amazing job! :)
Stupendous job! You brought it back to life, that's a fact! Well done 🎈
Absolutely fantastic ! Looks new !
Who read " 20 hours later" in that Sponge Bob voice? 🤣
Exactly
🙋♂️
Ahahhhaha, me too 🤣🤣😂😂 omg
Me
WOW
Such a satisfying video to watch , I don’t have a bag like this but so cool to know it could be done It had such a beautiful finish
That’s incredible... you really made it like new again
this is just magic at this point 💀
Oh gosh that before had me hyperventilating
Ruby Xx I know 😭😭
😂🤣😂
🤣😂😂👍
Looks better in black than red.
It looks really good, shiny and
brand new. 👍
Wow absolutely amazing restoration work ❤️it looks brand new and beautiful
The original owner called. She wants her bag back;)!
😭😭😭 good one 🤣
I dont get it
@@cookie4578 its so good that now they want it back again
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣that’s a good one
damn impressive
AMAZING!!!! You are a true artist!!
you did such a great job it turned out beautiful! I wish I could have seen the owners reactions I'm sure she was thrilled
You did an amazing job with this! Do you do this as a side job as well?
Could you list the dye that you used and where did you get it from
Please
That can’t be the same purse 🤩🤩🤩it looks amazing now 😱
Omg!!! So beautiful new bag wowww!!!
How did you remove the strap?
Peace - you did an amazing job. Id like to re pain my hand bag. I already have the Angelus paint. How should i prep the area? would you mind sending me the order for moisturizing, painting and sealing. thank you in advance.
Spectacular, splendid, astonishing, magnificent and unbelievable! Thank you
Finished watching Rust Valley Restorers so now I’m here ❤️
What kind of color you used for dyeing this bag?
It looks amazing!! Really good job 👏🏻 does the new black color transfer or fade?
how cool is that lainey i love it!
The transformation is really cool!
What kind of conditioner did you use?
I am impressed!! Will this method work on the metallic Chanel? or can I simply paint over the metallic bag with the paint you used in here? Do you mind to share the paint you used? Thanks
I believe that you would need to remove the metallic paint first, so that the dye can come into contact with and absorb into the leather. There should be some good tutorials online🙂
Edit: Hearing from other commenters that it might be Angelus leather paint.
It’s all in the description box, check it out!
Looks amazing! Enjoy that bag for all of us please!
OMG great work, respect !!!!
I have a LV bag that is warped and I am keeping it till I have the money to get it restored and let it go up in value
How much do you charge to do this?
20 hours work at 20$ per hour = $400.
Beautiful work! I never knew one could dye handbags
That's some solid work!
I guess she just keeps recoloring instead of getting a new bag 😭
Dj Ghoul TOUCH when did I say it was bad ? She’s had it recolored four times.... She likes recoloring the bag. It’s not that deep 😂
Dj Ghoul TOUCH bore off. God there’s always 1.
Dj Ghoul TOUCH Which part did you not comprehend the “I guess” the “she just” the “keeps recoloring” or the “bags instead or getting a new one” 😂😂it wasn’t offensive or rude thats literally exactly what she’s had done
Dj Ghoul TOUCH You obviously have nothing else to do but try to pin me as “being mean” You’re being way too sensitive and sappy over a UA-cam comment
Dj Ghoul TOUCH So many rude comments that you could’ve saved the day for but you chose the least offensive one to say something to 😂😂take that energy somewhere else babe
Can you please post the products you used? Thank you
You can use plain nail polish remover.
@@vintagecoachcollector yeah
As you can see in the video she is using nail polish remover WITH acetone. And then you have to buy high quality leather paint.
shes using Angelus leather paint
The nail polish remover was actually a German brand which I thought was weird..
That turned out beautifully
Wow!!! Heck ya! That look perfect!
I think that’s a fake Chanel bag. But if it was real, I’m disappointed that the original owner changed the colour. I would never do that to my own Chanel bag. Should have kept it beige. Amazing transformation though 🙂
Kumirax Beige bags are really hard to mentain because they can easily get dirty so maybe that’s why they changed the colour to black
It’s normal for people who collect Chanel to have them dyed to make them unique
You have no evidence its fake. you're just being a dick.
Florida Girl Beige is rare in this bag size
It was real leather so definitely not a fake. A lot of people get back second hand and they aren’t in great shape so they dye them. If don’t right like here in this video then it’s fine.
Great work!! What product are you using for the black ink?
Dee Tay jobus
Dee Tay i think its angelus leather paint
wow this looks amazing!!!
Me ha encantado. Enhorabuena de verdad
Im confused. After the renovation, is it still considered authentic?
@Sophisticated lady MRS JUICEE BABY how much do you charge to do bags?
YES it's still authentic but modified. Meaning Chanel will never repair down the road if a issue is to arises which is okay because there's companies out there that will repair.
Florida Girl, yes it is.
Wow!!!
Love this! Grear job ❤
Wow that looks amazing!
Today on why was this in my recommended as if I had a Chanel bag in the first place
Can you list what brand and items were used?
I dunno how I ended up on this channel but glad I did. You my dear are Amazingly Talented!!!!❤️❤️❤️ Gorgeous work! OMG!
Subbed!
Wow! This is fabulous
You did not put the paint you use .
Because this is her business not a DIY channel.
It is impressive but I don't get one thing.. If someone has the money to buy beige Chanel bag, why don't they just buy another one in black?
Sofia Hristoforova they may save money for one but def not two
Also its an older model and with the price increases of Chanel, it’s possible they bought it at the time for like 1000-2000
Maybe it has sentimental value or something
I think many people think it should be simple enough to dye a light colour to black, but clearly this went hella wrong lmao. Maybe they didn't care if they recieved it as a gift from their mother or something as it's an older style that wouldn't be the crazy prices we see now. Who knows, at least it looks great again now!
This was literally a silly question.
This video is so satisfying!!!!
Omg 😲 that's incredible 😍 👏
I got a heart attack just to look the "before"!
Как меня сюда занесло😶
Wow you are multitalented! I was looking for the best way to turn my brown Enzo motorcycle jacket black so I folliwed your lead and it turned out better than new!
Omg! You have some serious skills
How could you ever do your Chanel so dirty like this 😭
What did you use to strip the paint?
It's nail polish remover or acetone judging from the bottle. Ebelin is a german brand which only sells in the DM stores.
@@AyaskaSummers Yes that's what I use and nothing else.
What an amazing job!
That was insane!
