I think you might have accidentally put the CC back on backwards, the 24k mark all vintage Chanel bags have goes on the top left of the left C, which is where it was in the beginning, and the close up at the end showed it at the bottom of the right C. Just something to look out for, great work and amazing craftsmanship regardless!
I just commented the same thing. Also, the chain didn’t need to be open up to be removed. It was attached with a little gold clasp on either side of the bag. One would think that a craftsman capable of this quality work would notice these things! I’m wondering if the owner could have gotten a used bag of the same vintage style in better condition for less than what she paid to fix this one. I’ve seen ones in nice condition for as little as $2600 USD.
