    I love the honesty! You did a great job!!!! I've learned working with leather (I'm not an expert -just trial and error) Dry time is key with the waxes and pigments. It's like they take some time to "cure".
    I use black shoe cream or shoe polish on my Harley Davidson biker boots and they don't transfer color - but I leave them for days to dry. I beat them up so much, but this process has helped me keep them a lot longer.
    My method is Clean, hydrate with leather cream (leather honey is great for high end bags. For my biker leather I am not picky), color the item with a balm/cream and let dry (overnight is best), then seal with a wax.
    This order of operations have always worked for me. I've used it on a mustard yellow Michael Kors bag, and my Kate Spade loafers (white). I'm doing the same method on an old Coach Bucket Bag that's leather/fabric I purchased 15 years ago!!! That was a mess it had like wearing down on that plastic coating everyone uses.
    Honestly - I'd use this method on a Chanel too (I sold quite a few Chanel, Gucci, LV, Givenchy, and Fendi handbags at Saks). Saphir is a great leather product brand for restoring color on luxury goods. The managers always recommended Leather Honey. They're both on Amazon.
    You did a Great job and I cracked up watching you because you're so authentic. It was honestly refreshing. I plan to buy a vintage Chanel soon and want to restore it myself. I would feel much more satisfied with the learning and the DIY than taking it to a pro. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!! :)

Yes, we love Hermès, Valentino, *amzclothes* and all these great brands, but you are the best! Thank you for showing us beautiful Monaco. Can't wait to see more.

    It turned out amazing, I loved this video! I'm also from New Zealand so great to watch someone else who has access to same products etc. The chanel i'm looking at is very cheap but it does have some peeling in the bottom corner so I'm unsure if it's worth getting as a imagine that would be hard to repair! Thanks for the great video, I hope you upload more soon :)

    If you can't afford designer bags and feel a certain way about expensive designer bags, then don't watch this video. Like do you read a video title before clicking on it? The title makes it clear that the video will be about designer bags. I find these types of videos very helpful and although I can't afford these bags yet, I know one day I will. I wanted to know which designer bag was truly worth my hard-earned money and one that I would get the most out of. That being said, if you're reading this, thank you for sharing this video with us and please make more videos like this. Maybe LYXBAGS is your next choice?

    Looks good! But i’m a bit confused, don’t all classic flaps have a zipper compartment in the flap and don’t they also have quilting on the bottom and sides? Or it this bag even more vintage than the ones I have seen online

    • @amirrachao2500
      @amirrachao2500 3 роки тому

      Yes, this is more vintage one, and this is calf skin. I have the exactly same one from Poshmark, which costs me 2190 includes tax

    • @simplytandya
      @simplytandya 3 роки тому

      Yes, same here! Based on all my research the hidden compartment has been on the bags since the original design in 1955. As the story goes, Coco hid it there to have a secret spot to stash her love letters.

      I was a bit concerned too but I have seen other classic double flap bags with the same straight flap, no secret zipper design online and according to the date codes they are from the late 80s/early 90s.
