Best out of three! pattern review B6750 and M6713 ep 13-24

- We were challenged this week to choose three fabrics and three patterns and then let our sister choose which we end up making. It was quite interesting.
Dee chose for Dory Butterick 6750 a pair of slacks to be made out of polyester blue fabric that Dory got at a thrift store (3 yards for $5.40). The fabric was easy to work with and the pattern was also very easy. Dory had a little problem with the elastic waistband, probably her and not the pattern! It's nice the pants come with pockets.
Dee made M6713 out of a purple crepe that she purchased from FabricMartFabrics.com She bought her pattern at a Goodwill for 49 cents! Even though the pattern says easy - the directions for the bodice were difficult for her to understand. And she had to redo it a couple of times to get it right. She added 3" to the length of the skirt!

Beautiful makes, ladies! I almost never wear dresses, but I really like that purple dress! I’m glad you were able to work out the way it went together. The print pants and blue top looked soft and comfortable, which is my kind of style. I’ve been making quilts for grandkids lately, but I should start making some summer tops and shorts. Warm weather is coming to Michigan. I’m positive!

Beautiful pants and dress👍 And talking about improving the world, have either of you done the “Dresses for Girls” project? You make dresses and the organization sends them to Africa and gives them away to girls in need. Aunt Becs Creatations, who comments here regularly does this. It’s a wonderful charity. I want to do it when I retire.
We featured some of Aunt Bec's in one of our videos. They were amazing dresses and for a great cause!
