Brilliant makes, both of them! I'm sorry Dory but I think Dee's top is just lovely with those trousers. Yes it's slightly a more modern look but it's very stylish. I have that pattern and keep going to make it then chicken out 😂 Look at those pattern pieces, wow! Dory your top is wonderful with your whole wardrobe and a fantastic colour to mix and match. I did like the top with jacket and pants. It expanded the versatility of those 2 wardrobe pieces!!

I think both your makes look really nice with their outfits. The gathering stitches make it unnecessary to put darts in your woven top. The material that would be in a dart is gathered up by those stitches.

I think Dee's top looks nice with her wardrobe. I like how the original top is more traditional and the new top is more modern. I think they chance up the feel of the pants and jacket. Both are a win. I also like Dory's top. Brown is one of my favorite colors. Keep on sewing ladies!

Good morning ladies. I had my coffee with banana oatmeal pecan bread and you! I think the makes are both lovely, so Dee gets my vote. The only item not to wear the top with is the skirt, so.... is it really an addition to the wardrobe? Maybe Dory gets my vote. Geesh ladies! Don't ask me the tough questions LOL! I'm looking for some pink fabric in my stash for a top to wear with a reversible vest I finished Friday. I've made 2 now. Where are they? I also need to send my new makes to Dee and Dory. Today is supposed to be a day off after 3 weeks of farming. Key word, supposed. What do farmers do on their day off? Catch up on all of the bits they didn't do while farming! It wouldn't be Sunday without you guys! Hey, hey, Nate! Always fun to see what you find. Our daughter lives in Michigan and thinks it's just so beautiful there - and she's right. She was in Yellowstone recently and saw bison roaming around - she also ate bison, so I think they are definitely not endangered anymore because ground bison is available at my local supermarket here in Pennsylvania, too. Hope you all have a good week with pretty fall weather!

Hi ladies 💙. Love both your makes, the skirt looks fabulous with the jean jacket and the blouse is super with the lace. As you said it is so awful about North Carolina and especially when one of our fellow UA-camrs has been affected, the lovely Diann from Silver Threads Sewing. Like you I have travelled to that area on holiday and it is just dreadful to see those areas now on footage. Communities are coming together as you say and I know Diann says supplies are plentiful, it is just water and power they need back to their homes. Ladies, love your blue makes with your sunny attitude! Dee, great job on the pattern grading! The top fits so well. I have many times kept the darts, or pleats and just made them more narrow or omitted the front fisheye darts and kept the back ones. Thank you for the fun!

Two more cute and useful makes! I like the way you styled the skirt with the denim jacket, Dory, and I like the use of the flannel to make a different kind of "flannel shirt," Dee. I looked at that same New Look shirt pattern and worried about the midsection on my own mature figure - looks like you figured out how to work around it very well! We have had an earlier leaf drop in Pennsylvania as it has been quite dry here, too. Can you believe last night I dreamed I was sewing a complicated project in black fabric and cut a small hole in the back of it when I was almost done? I clearly remember trying to figure out how to fix it in my dream - not sure what that all means 😆!

I have the pattern for Dee’s blouse, but haven’t made it up yet. So, that’s really good information to have. Thank you!

I recently made a simple unlined jacket and I used a Hong Kong finish for the first time. It was actually easy. I used a pretty scrap fabric and the inside looks so nice and professional. Love both your makes. Dee, I have also become rectangular, no curves. I do miss my waistline. 😂

Good morning from Iowa. Coffee is so much better with the 2 of you. Lovely makes again! You're on a roll (of fabric). I have been working on a reversible vest. My button hole attachment absolutely refuses to cooperate. UHG! 4 picked out button holes later, I am trying to make an eyelet style closure. MAYBE it will make it to your makes. This was supposed to be a quick, easy make. One week of struggling with the closure has made me spicy. I think I will go thrifting today. That will help me feel better, even if I only find nothing I can use. I do have some makes to send soon. Thanks for listening to me be grumpy LOL. I have no idea what a Hong Kong finish is. Looking forward to finding out soon. Oh, I generally have a banana in the morning with my coffee but I was out of them. Does squash pie qualify as a substitute? Made one yesterday. Yes, I'm into alternative seam finishes. I don't own a serger and I don't think I ever will. I prefer the details that show an item is custom made

Dory your hair looks beautiful and the skirt came out perfectly even this it was a challenge . Very classic and I’m sure you will wear it often. Looks so nice with the cardigan. Hello Dee and Dori! I think Dori’s outfit looks like a faux jumpsuit. You both are hilarious and I enjoy you very much !!

Bumblebee would look best as separates. Top with white, yellow , black pants..or any other color captured in the fabric. And the pants with a solid top. Together, they do not look like pj's just busy. I made that top 4 times, such a quick summer make. Dee your make is nice as well. 😊
