Originally released in 1955, Walt Disney Animation Studio’s Lady and the Tramp has been and still is considered a Disney classic. However, in late 2019 Disney, following a pattern of live-action remakes, re-released a new version of Lady and the Tramp.
While largely unacknowledged and despite it only being a Disney + movie, this film should not be ignored. Because what the original did decently, this movie greatly improves and expands upon, in a way that makes it one of the best remakes of a Disney film I’ve ever seen!

One thing I do not understand about this film is the theme of classism. Disney decided to make it clear that Jim was making mediocre money as a musician based on what Aunt Sara said at the baby shower when she gave Darling the vase. How does he afford to live on snob hill if he is barely making ends meet? There's a few inconsistencies like that and some thematic and cinematic changes from the original that I just do not care for. Its ok, but it could've been a lot better in my eyes.
I kind of feel bad for the Tramp in his flashback when his owner abandoned him for no god damn reason
I don’t think how the Disney live action movie of Lady And The Tramp can be better than the original movie of it. I’m really happy that the Disney live action movie of. Lady and The tramp came out on Disney + when it did but. I grew up with watching the animated classic of Lady and The Tramp a lot more than I’ve ever watched any Disney live action movies. It’s just not fair to the original movie. I wonder if anyone else will think the same thing that I do. 😢😢😢😢
Am I the only person who noticed the music from the original film at the beginning of the movie?
The faster pacing helped sooo much
Yeah, this movie was more engaging whilst also capitalizing on the moments shared between the protagonists, making those moments feel more significant rather than bogging down the movie.
Just that scene alone with the kid and the dog in bed kinda reminds me of Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021 film) a little bit.
I’ve seen the live action version for the first time and it was actually the first time I’ve seen a live action remake, but something I like the point out. Is there a lot of scenes that were not faithful to the original.
I’m not trying to say I’m hating, I’m just pointing out the obvious differences.
I kind of understand why the Tramp is rude/mean for some of the movie
The fact that they changed Jock's gender made me think "That's it! I am outa here!" and went back to watch the original instead. But I was so mad that they ruined my childhood that I could not even watch the original! I honestly wanted to give this remake a chance: my wife asked me to, but the moment Jock opened his mouth I was like, NOPE! NO! NO! NO! HELL NO! You don't get to change my favorite character in Lady and the Tramp and get away with it! I would have let it slide if Jock was still a dude and that new "I-just-want-to-paint-my-dog-in-all-the-famous-painting's-style-woman" with no serious impact on the story, dressing her dog as a girl: it would have added a character modern today: totally confused. But actually changing Jock's gender, and calling her Jacquline... get away with that sexist Bechdel Test paranoia! Throw it out of the window: it is destroying what is beautiful!
Dude calm down! A change in a movie did not ruin your childhood! You want your childhood so much then go rewatch the original and stop watching this! The remake didnt erased the original!

Yeah, this one is one of the better ones. I also like that they fleshed out Lady's role a bit in this one and the CG one the dogs was more expressive than the _2019 Lion King_ remake.
this movie was full of woke and political corectness crap. the original was perfect in every way, it did not deserve this punishment.
And i know everyone can have their own opinion, but how in the mother of fuck can anyone say this was better than the original is beyond me. having tastes this bad should be a punishable crime.

Lyckly for me there are others who don't think like you do about this one. A du'cking pissy-ass movie this remake. It is called remake for a reason. Nothing beats the original, EVER!
