hi bro First of all, thank you, I want to do this project, but can you tell me the number of the servos or how much they weigh? and ı'am sorry because ı'am turkish and my inglish is not good 🤷♂🤷♂
Hello, im a student from Vietnam, can i ask a little bit about how to make this arm. Not exactly a little bit, im really dont know how to make it. Can we talk some more. Thank u
Hello Ryan great project I am doing this for College I have a question about the thumb so you move it actually with 2 servos correct one in the palm and one of the other four? is this correct? so one servo in the foreharm handle 2 fingers?
Hi, i really appreciate your videos and i'm trying to make a diy hand as well. I was wondering how do you power all of those servos at the same time, since i'm sure arduino can't handle all that load. Can you please tell me ho you do that? Thanks
I use an external power supply. It is a variable power supply which helps with testing and prototyping but if you need to get a power supply for the sole purpose of powering the servos I suggest getting an AC adapter for 7-9volts. Also be sure it has enough Amperage- I wouldn't go below around 2 Amps. Sorry for the late reply, wish you the best in building your diy hand.
Hello, Ryan Gross. First of all I would like to congratulate you for your design and channel, and to know which model of servo motor you used in the upper arm, as I am putting one to my TCC and that is all I need, I am waiting for your response, hug
Hello I’m trying to recreate your arm for a school project, I have questions about the ardunio. I would love to know which boards I should buy to control the arm with
yes, he used a micro servo, like this www.amazon.es/FengYun%C2%AE-Micro-TowerPro-Helic%C3%B3ptero-Controles/dp/B07BWGS1S2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1534780350&sr=8-4&keywords=micro+servo
Can you please give the link to download the 3d filed for the complete robot torso. And if you want me to directed to myminifactory.com then there are only hands and biceps but not full torso
it is a 60kg.cm servo, this is the model www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwim6NzAp5rYAhUFm-AKHYhMCOwQjRwIBw&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.banggood.com%2FJX-Servo-PDI-HV2060MG-60KG-High-Torque-180-Digital-Servo-for-RC-Model-p-1074870.html&psig=AOvVaw1iqBOq4frjChmZ1HcszTyZ&ust=1513918355311322 but you can get ther piece from any website, you need two for the bicep.
I use arduino to interface with the arm but you can link other programs with arduino to control it in different ways. If you check out my partner's github page you can see that he interfaced the program "processing" with arduino to create a unique control method. his github page can be found here: github.com/tt-anderson
Great work Ryan.

🤷♂🤷♂
Do you recommend fingers with joints or the ones you use with only rubber bands? I am making a similar project and could use some advice. Thank you
Rubber bands are a suitable substitute
Hi Ryan
Did you connect all the servo to an adapter of high current or just with arduino power ?
How did you remove the supports from the holes? I'm going crazy.
Where are you supposed to put the extra wires that come out through the back of the prosthetic arm?
Can you please share the right hand palm STL file.
Dude thats amazing! What 3D printer did you use? I was thinking of buying the MP mini but am afraid it might be too small
Thank you! I used a Prusa i3 for printing the pieces but any prusi i3 clone would work well for the project
Hey ryan I have downloaded the file from the website you gave. For what are that files? . Please tell me
I like ur videos
Hello, im a student from Vietnam, can i ask a little bit about how to make this arm. Not exactly a little bit, im really dont know how to make it. Can we talk some more. Thank u
someone help me Ryan, do you own the rest of the project? I need the head and part of the torso to finish. please make dreams come true!
If we want to make the wrist of prosthetic arm to move what can be done
Hello Ryan great project I am doing this for College I have a question about the thumb so you move it actually with 2 servos correct one in the palm and one of the other four? is this correct? so one servo in the foreharm handle 2 fingers?
that's correct
what kind of tread he use for thumb and fingers

Thanks for answering, do you think i could use a bttery pack of 5 -6 batteries instead? My goal is to make it as compact as i can.
I have never used typical AA batteries but I believe those would work as a viable power supply
Ryan Gross ok, i'll try that
I am going to be making a similar project however I want to give more range of motion for the wrist have any ideas for how I could best do this?
que materiales usasss? y que tipo de servos?
What type of paracord are you using???
Hello, Ryan Gross.
First of all I would like to congratulate you for your design and channel, and to know which model of servo motor you used in the upper arm, as I am putting one to my TCC and that is all I need, I am waiting for your response, hug
Thanks for the feedback, I used a 100kg.cm servo. Full list of materials on my MyMiniFactory Page
what size are the screws?
I couldn’t find the electronics you use, could you please give me the servo models. Also, what controller and or software did you use. Great video
Anyone know whitch servo he's used? I wanana buy but don't know the brand.
please share screw sizes for building this robotic hand
Hello I’m trying to recreate your arm for a school project, I have questions about the ardunio. I would love to know which boards I should buy to control the arm with
Mia Cundro I am doing the same thing
Astro oh hey so what arduino are you using ??
Mia Cundro I haven’t start, I want to know what size servo and which arduino to use before I start
Hi Ryan I'm recreating this arm for a school project. Could you tell me what materials do I need?(like how many servos and which model) thank you
david marano garcia hi, did you already know what kind of servos did he use?
diego hernandez hi, yes I know the servo models, I'm asking for the other things
david marano garcia oh, could you please tell me, what servo did he use in the hand?, The small one
yes, he used a micro servo, like this
www.amazon.es/FengYun%C2%AE-Micro-TowerPro-Helic%C3%B3ptero-Controles/dp/B07BWGS1S2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1534780350&sr=8-4&keywords=micro+servo
What is the name of the program you used to model the hand?
Where you purchase this thing
What type of the servo is ?
Hey Ryan can I buy this hands
someone knows where i can buy the big servo??
Can you please give the link to download the 3d filed for the complete robot torso. And if you want me to directed to myminifactory.com then there are only hands and biceps but not full torso
what is the balck material in which u have joininging the fingures.
Flexible Nylon Paracord
When you'll be sharing a video of the installation of all parts?
This video contains the assembly of all parts for the arm itself, there can be any control method for the servos (I use arduino)
lifting the elbow portion of the motor what is the model?
it is a 60kg.cm servo, this is the model
www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwim6NzAp5rYAhUFm-AKHYhMCOwQjRwIBw&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.banggood.com%2FJX-Servo-PDI-HV2060MG-60KG-High-Torque-180-Digital-Servo-for-RC-Model-p-1074870.html&psig=AOvVaw1iqBOq4frjChmZ1HcszTyZ&ust=1513918355311322

Can you please answer me can I use servo motor mg90s Instead of tower pro mg996r
MG90S is for the thumb, it's a mini servo, it has enough torque for the thumb but not si much for the other 4 fingers
please can you give me the dimension for printing
hey there can i know the 3 d model for it
3D files are here
www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-48754
only help me to program it
You wrote in www.thingiverse.com/thing:2269115
one micro servo for thumb and 5 servos for fingers
so 4 for fingers and the remaining servo for what ?
5 servos in the forearm, 4 of those servos control the fingers and the 5th servo controls the wrist.
How to make it by Ardiuno
You are purchase all raw material
