- We finally made the Flexy-Hand 2, designed by the talented Gyrobot! We've made a few projects from the Enable project before, so we wanted to make a video to explain a little more about it! MORE BELOW -------↡↡↡↡

Thanks for watching and have fun printing! - Наука та технологія
I love seeing 3d printing changing peoples lives! I definitely want to give this a shot in the near future.
Awesome project!
The print quality is amazing, especially for a flexible filament :D
Your video was very helpful. I've been printing one for myself, amputated right hand at the wrist.
I have just D/L'd the STL and will be printing this next! Just have to wait till payday to buy the FPLA filament!
Awesome!
Hi Handrew... : ). That is awesome! How can I get something like this built for myself? Even just the printed parts would be great. Thanks!
Nice video! I live in Belgium and we don't really have 3d printers. But luckily I have a 3d printer! I find it irritating that in Belgium there are no 3d printing shops. That's why I made my own Etsy shop
Cheers!
What your doing Is amazing I love your guys videos keep up the good work
Maravilhoosaa.. Queria ter uma dessa :´( Parabéns !!!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤗 What a cool project!!
This is pretty incredible. Question for you as I'm pretty amazed by these... how are they fitted to a person it's being made for?
Hi cool video, I live in Denmark, I have an Ultimaker 3 and a Formlaps 2 printer
I am working to be so good at printing, so I can be approved at e-NABLE,
I would like to see some videos about things to be aware of when printing parts
how can I modify the design
Will it work if I just print the joints with flexible filament and the rest in PLA?
It should! Give it a shot and see what happens!
I had one similar to that printed but it's not flexible. It's just the hard version of it. And I'm trying to assemble it but I'm worried about breaking some of the pieces
Don’t be. If it’s 3d printed it’s very strong. Plus if it breaks you can heat it and press the two pieces back together to some degree
I have the materials and the initiative but what is the filling level of each piece Pd: my English is not good :(
I'd print them with a lower amount of infill so they flex instead of break, adding an additional external wall for strength!
Great job, you gave me hope for my son, he is born with no fingers in his left hand,he has a functional wrist down. He is 5 months now. When will he able to use such prosthesis? At what age? Thank you so much for spreading hope .. God bless you
Here is a site where volunteers around the world 3d print these prosthetics. Ping them for information.

Don't worry about your son too much; my daughter was born with exactly the same "handicap" as you described and with help from available resources (physical therapist etc.) she can do anything she wants to do! She is now four and we have had some "adaptations" made for her but mostly, she uses her left wrist to stabilize object and is very skilled at using what she has.
In Canada we have the War Amps that are an incredible resource, look for similar organisations in your country.
As for a prosthetic hand, every child is different but my princess has known about her difference for about 2 years but has not asked for a prostethic yet.
We will possibly get her an e-nable hand in the next 12 months or so, as she will be staying school next year.
One last thing: teach her to be strong and positive about it, she never says "I can't".
she says " it's difficult" or "can you help me" it makes a big difference!
@@yellorado thanks a lot for your kind words. Indeed, I was so worried about him especially after birth but now I'm very proud of him. He is almost 2 now and he's doing well. He does almost everything without help using his wrist or small bones of fingers under skin effectively. He is so smart and strong. I'm no longer worried about him. I and my husband teach him to be independent and to try before giving up. For a prosthetic hand, we will leave it for him to choose whether to get one "if he needs it" or not. May God bless him and your daughter. They are adorable❤
I love this service, how can I get involved.
Check out the e-nable site! They have a sign-up sheet! enablingthefuture.org/
Hello Andrew, Nice seeing your prosthetic arms. I was amazed to see this and thinking if I could help poor people in my country in Bangladesh. I live in USA and I can afford to buy one to help poor people. Could you give me more insight to learn about 3D printing best way to help people.
How can get this one if I am broke
How much is it please I'm lack of fingers
I'd recommend contacting the e-nable foundation, they should be able to put you in touch with someone who can help!

My school did a project like this, we were shut down by prosthetic companies for not having a medical license. D:
I love the look of this and would love this to be our next hand that we print. We are currently building hands and hoping to earn our badge so we can start building hands for enabling the future. Can you build this using PLA filament? I'm not sure we can get the flex filament here in Tokyo Japan. Love the video!
I think PLA might work, but you would want to add some sort of coating to give it the ability to grip instead of slip.
Good luck!
@@AndrewSink Thank you. I think I might try it. It looks so good!
