  • Apple - Banana Salad is a quick and healthy salad . It is a crisp and nutty salad recipe. It also serves a simple dessert recipe. It is one of the healthiest means to make the kids eat the apples and bananas, along with the nuts of their choice. This salad is undoubtedly, the perfect salad for those on weight loss diet as a mid-morning snack, omitting honey. It can be easily swapped for breakfast or dinner, as a bowl of it gives a feeling of fullness and satiation. Walnuts can also be used instead of almonds and cashews. Similarly, honey can be replaced by chopped dates. Fresh finely minced mint leaves can also be sprinkled over the salad before serving to have the refreshing flavor it imparts. Since most kids dislike mint, I haven't used it here.
