We ask for the rain, but the Sun burst through. We hope for the Sun to appear, but the rain trickles down. Such is life, we don't always get what we wish for. Be brave enough to accept what life deals us and be courages enough to face it. The reality is, there are somethings in life that is totally out of our control. We just do our best.... I love your vlogs… it really shows the humanness and the limitations that some of us feel. Your genuineness and the honesty is the reason why I am binge watching your vlogs. They truly speaks to me. 🙏❤️🌺
Thank you for showing a realistic view of cruising. Too many UA-cam channels show cruising as all fun and games. You show the boredom, the frustration, and the ongoing challenges. I noticed the sound quality is excellent and you can really hear the noise of the boat through the water. Take care.
I've said the same thing in the past with trucking videos. Many just show all the cookies and cream of driving and leave out the part of bad weather. heavy traffic, flat tires, crowded truck stops, etc. it's always nice to see the real life part of something and not appear to just be a sales ad for something.
Yea, Nici shows the hardships of sailing a big cat in the South Pacific. That plate of cookies wouldn't be sitting on the counter so nice if it was a monohull. And that bowl of fruit would be playing bumper pool.
Agree I always thought I wanted to sail around the world, but after watching them sail the oceans I say no way! It would be easier with another couple to share the work and watches, but that is a small boat for 4 people to get along for that period of time. So I will enjoy watching them do the sailing.
Certainly a big Happy Birthday to Jason!! I loved seeing the realities of sailing...a pitching boat, loss of appetite, but what takes the cake was the line snapping. The little "toot" of surprise and the look of wonderment had to be watched a dozen times! You actually looked a little like Audrey Hepburn! Super cute! Thanks for making another stellar Sunday Funday video. #Wynndays are always my favorite!!!!!!!
Jason proves his toughness every time he does a long voyage. I continue to be impressed. Happy Birthday!!! Always watching these videos and comparing them to monohull boats. Pillows stay on couches, bowls of fruit don’t slide right of the table, the hull doesn’t take a pounding. Damn! Your intros, videos, video lengths and commentary are so fun to watch. Thank you.
Nikki A trick old hands in Northern Australia use for catching Kingfish and so forth on handlines is to attach a bit of rubber from an inner tube between the line and a solid mount like a jetty or part of a vessel to absorb the initial shock when a big one strikes. In the case of the fish which was only on for a few moments however I suspect that only a steel trace might have kept it on longer as it probably had more teeth than a chain-saw and they were probably sharper as well.
Sailing = 7 Seasons in 1 Day! Happy Birthday Mate and guys please use some safety harnesses, take it from someone who's been over the side and only just made it back on board because I did have a harness on - it's just not worth the risk to be on deck without one!
Thank you Jason Thank you Nikki for making cruising a classy thing with great clothing and make-up Nikki. You are dreamy.....I'm the one that's hooked! Sail on!
Happy Belated Birthday Jason to bad you didn't feel well. Hope you celebrated another day. Wow that sea looked rough. I would sure liked to have seen that fish that got away. Thanks for sharing, be safe and have fun.
Another great job on the filming and editing...I always feel like I am right there as well!! I agree that the ocean is 'special' when the rain squalls come, the sea goes all glassy and it's just a pleasure to be out there at that time! I am a pretty keen surfer and just love that glassy ocean and being part of it. Careful of the rolling and pitching of the boat in choppy seas, hate to see or hear that one of you has gone overboard, without a life jacket....! Happy sailing guys, best wishes to Jason for clocking up another year.... older!!
Jason - Happy belated Birthday my man - how come our Birthdays last only one day and the girls B Days keep going for a month ! - oh we do love them though- keep up the good work, we all look forward to your inspiration, you both kindly share - sail safe clip on - Kind Regards David - Australia
I mist say guys. You look more comfortable sailing even in bad weather. Before it seemed you were nervous and kept busy to keep your minds off it. Looking very good.
A lot of times when the line snaps like that , it's not the fish on the lure , but another fish trying to bite the lure or the fish that you just caught . Fish always try to steal food from each other . So the second fish ends up biting the line in front of the fish caught on the lure . Or the fish was so big it swallowed the lure and bit in front of the lure . Even the strongest of mono line is no match for their razor teeth . I know that wire leaders are the best for that , but the bad is the fish can see the metal better , so it doesn't catch fish as well . That is why they call it fishing , not catching . One other thing which I'm sure you know about is the use of the drag . Mono stretches a lot , and when it stretches it becomes weaker , so do not let too much line out from the boat when trolling . If you are having trouble with the lure being on top of the surface , you might want to switch to braded line which sinks better then mono . Also the drag is very important because when you catch a big fish you need plenty of line to run out to wear the fish out before you start to pull the fish in with any real force . With the boat running that fast it is easy for a big fish to break the line as soon as you catch it . Of coarse if the fish is that big you better be strapped in or you might be swimming with the fishes . And it could have been a shark going after the fish you caught . They are known for that . Good luck . Happy Birthday Jason !
Happy Belated Birthday Jason from Leilani! So good to catch up and see your progress from here on Guatemala. Hurricane season is over so we should head out soon. Thank you guys for your great optimism and great videos. We luv ya. SV Leilaini
Yea, Mine's A Week Before X-mas & I've Never Had A Proper B-Party In My 65 Years Old Life... At Least You Have A Cute Little Bush Growin On Your Decks! You Could Always Bake Your Own Cakes or Brownies! LOL Thanks
I don't understand why everyone is making comments about the safety harnesses ? It's so frustrating seeing that crap while enjoying another top notch video ... not even in the middle of the ocean can you get far enough away from a society where everyone thinks their input means anything
have watched most of your videos going back to the motorhome when you first got to french marquis it was new and different but sorry to say they are pretty much all the same now. let us know in a yr when you leave so we can start watching again HAPPY SAILING
Nice sailing! After loosing ask my lures I made my own with Wine Bottle corks with Ribbon wrapping tied around it! I caught more with this than the store bought!
Happy belated Birthday Jason!! Catching up on previous episodes! As long as the day ends with a great sunset, it was a good day !Food + Toys = Happy Cats !!Fair Wynns and Following Seas Curiosity !
All the ups and down of living aboard sailing your lifestyle is still amazing just saying, Im a Nurse Pract. seeing patients one after another all day, would much rather be sailing, hang in there Jason and be safe.
Nice burp at 7:21 Jason :-) The tethering debate reminds me of the old adage: "There are bold pilots and there are old pilots but there are no old bold pilots". We want you guys to get old! So be safe out there....
Happy Jason Day ! I know one has to cross a few valleys to reach the peaks, but not every one and a half hours!! Hope you got to celebrate in relaxo mode eventually !
Another great video! I have not watched one of your videos that was too long. They always leave me wishing they were longer and that’s a good thing. Happy Birthday Jason! Thanks for sharing your adventures it’s a bright spot in every week. Blessings from about 30 miles SE of Seattle on a cold rainy typical winter day.

Hey guys, have seen several videos where sailors are capturing fresh rain water run off into their tanks. Excellent job on the videos.
